We did have a bid accepted for 3M+. If the deal didn't go through for whatever reason, it's still known that we are active in the transfer market trying to bring in some quality players to improve the spine of an already strong squad for this level. I've read all your posts on this thread so far and I'm struggling to see any rationale in your argument. Ambition isn't about throwing money about on over inflated fee's and wages. This is the sign of desperation, not ambition. For the first time in years we have a solid, professional squad with a great team spirit. Yes we could do with a couple more quality players, I don't think anyone would dispute that but ultimately I think that keeping the squad intact plus adding hungry players who want to play for the club is more important than trying to make some kind of big statement of ambition. It's more subtle, but just might prove to be more effective. NC and NA are no mugs. I for one trust their judgement.

But are you a good judge of a good manager who is a good judge of a player?
-
The bid was made in January and was the worst he had ever seen!
-
Are you drunk?

We did enquire.....in January. But the clubs were too far apart in their valuation of him plus boro didn't want to sell. If nothing has changed with regards to the valuation then what's the point of going back in for him? Players will choose other clubs for a whole host of reasons. We'll get one or two of our actual targets but will likely lose out on the majority.....just the same as everyone else.

He didn't choose them over us as he haven't bid for him in this wondow. As soon as I saw that he signed for Brighton I knew that some on here would see this as the fault of Saints in some way. The truth is, we had nothing to do with it. I would not have neen unhappy had he joined us but remember, he scored around 12 goals in the Champ when boro got relegated. The same could easily happen with Brighton.

That was a brilliant and enlightening use of one of your three posts.

Insane requirements for staggered ST payments

They probably want a look to make sure that you're not a dirty scumbag -
And don't forget the club are apparently doing a DIY drainage job on the new training ground which also means we are broke/being sold

This. How people are coming up with the notion that we don't have money, I don't understand. Maybe we do, maybe we don't but some of the rationale applied as to why we don't have money has been pretty retarded.

Does this mean we have no money? -
It's amazing what some people on here manage to speculate based on sweet FA. So because we haven't signed anyone yet, we have no money? Some of you are going to look very silly over the next few weeks.

What point does my "abuse" prove? It would be nice to come on here and see you not banging on about the same **** on numerous threads. Maybe people gravitate towards more postive news because that's the point of supporting a club.... for enjoyment. Not to speculate on unfounded negative rumours stoked up from those with some sort of warped agenda
-
Do you ever shut the **** up? I get it, we all get it!!! Stop trying to moderate the forum FFS!
-
I doubt NC and NA are that stupid
-
I thought your "source" at the club said we did? Do you not trust your "source"?
-
Great signing, real sign of intent

Until he's spotted in winchester, I won't believe any of this

Why agents are even needed baffles me. If i was a professional footballer or sportsman I'd like to think that I'd be able to negotiate my own deals without being mugged off. I don't buy into the "they need to concentrate on football"nonsense either.... They are done by lunch every day FFS. Football would be a better place if players took the time to live in the real world so there would be no place for the parasites.

I think he's fine just where he is. You can't argue with his goals and assists return in the last two seasons so is obviously very effective coming in from the left. I'd rather us have a ball winner and a box to box cm in middle which would give lallana more of a free rein to focus on attacking which is exactly where we need him. The good thing is though, left, right or through thr centre he's still ****ing awesome

Both, but one more than the other these days
