Yea that was quality, a few more full backs will end up in the same position this season as well. As has been said before, he has everything apart from blistering pace but he has so much skill and comfort in possesion he doesn't need it. If he can improve his finishing in the times where he just needs to put his laces through it then he could be be right up there with saints legends of the past

I thought that I would still follow League 1 having developed a new found appreciation of the lower leagues whilst we were down there. With only 1 weekend gone, I already have no clue of the league 1 results and I switched off the highlight show right after the championship had finished. Will any of you be following it this season?

I'm sure Adam could have got similar money else where and I believe there were other factors in his decision to sign on with Saints for another 4 years....like the fact that he likes it here and wants to help get us back to the prem. Obviously I don't know this as fact but what I do know is that he has been here for years and has never publically tried to instigate a move else where. Particulary when he had only just broken into the first team. I know money talks and that players want to play at the highest level but it's not as if he was in the blue square on 50 quid a week. I'm sure as a 17yr old he was already better off than most on here and I'm sure if he signed a new deal with Saints, we wouldn't have needed for much. I'm not advocating anyone booing him or abusing him but I can see the frustration of some as it's a shame that at the first opportunity he was looking elsewhere. Afterall, this is the team we support and would love nothing more than to have the skill and ability to pull on the shirt in addition to getting paid thousands a week for the privilege.

So you think it's unreasonable for fans to show discontent that a kid we nutured from a very young age was looking for a move within a couple of months of playing for the first team? I think the fee we got is amazing and I'm not that concerned that he left but the principle of young players trying to get away having barely broken into the first time is the annoying part.
