I agree, it doesn't suit de ridder as his instinct is to turn and run. Which is probably why he doesn't play often. Our game isn't based on wing play which must be very frustrating for a player like Steve.

Lambert is seldom ever centre of the 6 yeard box when a cross comes in. He nearly always puts pressure on the fullback at the far post. Far harder to find him from a conventional crossing position. The angled cross works better as it cuts out the centre backs and leaves the fullback exposed. Our RM is only there to draw defenders and play back into space for Richardson or butterfield to cross from deep. Just doesn't suit a conventional wingers style of play.

They work when Lambert targets the fullback at the far post. Clever ploy.

To be fair, but the early season fiasco last year, we would have won the league. Under Adkins, I don't think we could have done much more.

I'm on the ropes myself for the first time this season. I've always been confident of us bouncing back after defeat but the main difference now is that we simply cannot afford any more slip ups. Also, looking at our team, we're not looking too strong in a couple of key positions due to injury and players off form. Like last week though a win in the week will breathe new optimism into us and more importantly, the team!

Sorry but there is no way Chaplow had a good game last night and if Guly had started and put in a similar performance not many would stick up for him on here.

If Guly had put that performance in you would be spitting blood today. He was woeful. How did Chaplow contribute to the team last night? One shot which was going into the side net.....can't think of anything else except for poor crossing, poor passing and poor control. There is more to being a footballer than running around loads. If they want that, I could a similar job but fact is you need players who can at least trap and ball and pass like a professional footballer. I know guly can be frustrating but I've never seen him play that poorly before.

That's not true at all. Why latch on Guly? Chaplow was appalling on the right yet he doesn't get anywhere near the level of stick even though he is a far inferior player. Would much rather see Guly on the right. Chaplow has given us nothing since he returned, can't beat a man, can't cross, can't shoot and can barely control a football.

It probably just takes you 15 mins to see through your permanent red mist and realise that we have scored.

When you say we will lose we usually win so keep it up.

I dismissed Reading a few weeks ago but they are actually quite good aren't they?! Will be a tough game and we will need to be at our best to win. Point wouldn't be terrible for either team, would still be 7 clear of west ham with 4 games to go (for them)
