  1. I am in Saltash, Cornwall. Been here since 2000 and try and get to a few games each season. Swansea away is a definite as it the closest to me!
  2. Nice one ChudSaint - I hope you and your kids have a great day. I am fortunate in that I am stopping over at my dad's in Alton, so can break the journey up. It's a long way to go, but it's worth it!
  3. My 10-year-old lad and I will be driving up from Cornwall for this one. Looking forward to a good day out and hopefully a decent performance. You never know, we may just spring a surprise. Regardless, it is another chance to see our team at Wembley and that is a chance I don't want to miss. COYS!
  4. All season, mediocrity has been rewarded. Bar Redmond, who seems to be singled out, players who have been constantly underperforming have been selected week in, week out. The likes of Cedric and Bertrand know they will play every game, so a bad performance doesn't appear to bother them and it certainly doesn't affect their chances of selection. Contrastingly, when players look good and in form, they get dropped from the side. Hojbjerg and Ward-Prowse have been dropped whilst looking good and it all seems just a little ridiculous.
  5. Is anyone watching/streaming this live? Are the players really that bad? Is the formation wrong (being overrun in midfield)? Or is it a combination of both?
  6. This team should never be playing 4-4-2, particularly in a huge game like this. Our best formation is 4-5-1 but we have struggled all season to find a decent 10 who can help out in midfield and also support the lone striker. IMO, Lemina should be given that role because he dwells too much on the ball when sitting deep.Romeu should always start as he is our best defensive midfielder and he breaks up so much play. Despite all the criticism he gets, Long is our best option in games away from home. He should have started with Austin coming on if we needed a goal late on. The infatuation with 4-4-2 is something I just don't understand.
  7. About bloody time!
  8. Absolutely. He has so much trickery, but he gives the ball away all the time and he is pushed off the ball so easily. For £16 million, I expect so much more.
  9. Boufal really is gash. What a waste of money!
  10. He has had a good game, but his legs look shot. Here's hoping for one piece of magic!
  11. Tadic looks knackered. Bring Redmond on and let's see if he can do something positive.
  12. Not a bad display at all, but we are defending far too deep. At times, when Spurs are crossing, our defence are only five yards away from McCarthy. Talk about invite pressure! Tadic and JWP looking decent, as are the rest of the midfield. Gabbi offering little up front - his movement really isn't the most intelligent. What is clear is that we need to replace VVD asap.
  13. I'm making an eight-hour, 360-mile round trip from Cornwall for this one, so a decent performance and a win would be most welcome!
  14. Not saying we would get them or that their clubs would sell them, but I would love to see any of Walcott, Zouma, Loftus-Cheek, Ospina, Chambers, Giroud, Mangala, Roberts, Llorente. We need some pace in the side, the option of a big man up front, a decent winger, some strength and height in midfield, a decent option at right back and a keeper that can rival Forster.
  15. I have to disagree I am afraid. Losing 3-0 at Palace, 4-1 at home to Spurs, 2-1 at home to WBA (dreadful display), 3-0 at Everton, 5-0 to Arsenal in the FA Cup and drawing 1-1 at home to Hapoel with such a defensive approach were all pretty embarrassing IMO.
  16. One goal nearer the departure of our crap manager hopefully.
  17. This could now be a thrashing!
  18. He was sacked by Swansea, he resigned at Leeds and he has "parted company" at Boro, which could be a sacking, Monk walking out or a mutual agreement.
  19. How the hell can the manager be questioning the commitment of the players when those who produce committed and impressive performances are rewarded with being sat on the bench. JWP, PEH and Jack Stephens were fantastic against Arsenal, while Yoshi has been great whenever called upon, yet they are consistently in and out of the side. Yet the likes of Tadic and Bertrand, who have sailed through games with minimal effort, are continuously selected. Why doesn't the manager decide on a formation, a style of play and a constant team - especially in defence - and then he can start criticising the players. His tactics and team selections have been awful this season and he has to be held accountable.
  20. Loads of people started leaving after 75 minutes. Stadium virtually empty after 85. Surely that sends a message to the board?!
  21. Now that is what I call an empty stadium!
  22. This. The manager has no clue and, more importantly, does not seem to have the trust or respect of the players.
  23. I have just looked at the score for the first time. FFS! Are we playing bad or are Leicester playing well? Why all the team changes again when we played okay on Sunday? Please don't say we are resting players. JWP and PEH not starting is ridiculous IMO.
  24. Whatever happens now, this performance has made me proud to be a Saints fan. More please over the coming weeks.
  25. What a touch and pass from Boufal!
