  1. Agree with Alpine; heart says yes definitely, head says squad strength will be everything in seeing us through to the end of the season.
  2. This is my experience and I'm married to one so I should know! My experience is mainly of Berliners and former East Germans and they're all a good laugh, don't mind a bit of p***taking and give as good as they get. That said, I've met some top French people as well as some rude and arrogant ones - best just to take as you find...
  3. Petition signed! Only a tenant at the moment but the thought of getting gazumped scares the **** out of me!
  4. Both brilliant!
  5. Can't believe no one's commented on this yet - brilliant idea!!! ...assuming we'll have a game to play on that day of course...
  6. There was a Miss Lay at our school - Legod Third Coming will confirm!
  7. Raleigh Tuff Burner: I had loads of Tamiya R/C cars during the '80s as my Dad used to run a model shop: Holiday Buggy, Grasshopper, Porsche 956 & 959, Hotshot etc. but Sand Scorcher was the first (and possibly best): Dune - I had a mate who had a Marui Ninja; must be pretty rare nowadays
  8. This, one good season plus one and a half sh*te ones; I honestly think we would have been relegated if he'd stayed 'til the end of the season. TBF, this. He bought some great players but never got the best out of them; Hoddle did but his record in the transfer market was shocking! Any comments, Dalek? And finally this, absolutely! Was working in London at the time, drove up especially, then all the way back to Petersfield afterwards. Only time I have ever left a match early in my life!!!
  9. Pass the barf bag, Vicar!
  10. Just about old enough to remember "The Thrilla in Manila" - I was an Ali fan as a kid but Joe was a legend in his own right, R.I.P. What a great time for boxing - Ali, Joe, George Foreman et al...
  11. Been with 3 since 2007 and signal coverage much improved in that time; have some good deals and offer truly unlimited data if you're a heavy smartphone user. As others have said though, customer service (outside of their shops) is appalling! If you can afford to shell out for s sim-free phone (I couldn't ) I would do that and get a giffgaff or similar monthly deal.
  12. Only just woken up to see the result - buzzing! And lol, fair play Dalek!
  13. Meanwhile, back on topic - THIS
  14. LOL, love it!
  15. We do at work, I don't at home - never noticed any difference - do keep it in a sealed tin at home though
  16. I still have my SISA "lifetime membership" card from circa 1997/98! ...haven't heard a dickybird's from them for about ten years!!
  17. Good advice from Essruu and saintbletch but I agree with dubai_phil - coffee in the time it takes to boil a kettle and you can get a cafetiere from the likes of IKEA for as little as 3 or 4 quid. If you really want a percolator then just get a cheap, nasty Argos special but with a built-in filter and not papers. That's what we use at work; the coffee's absolutely stewed by lunchtime though!
