Hmmm....there will be a few twists and turns before the end of the season. Hopefully we will finish at least 17th or 16th as I predicted back in July.
-
Ings could be our player of the season if he did not spend so much time in the treatment room.
-
If we stay up at say 17th then it is great business plan. Minimum outlay and great returns. Does it matter if people don't turn up?
-
17th...seem to spend a lot of time in this position LOL.
-
It was MUST WIN game.
-
We are so fragile mentally. Anything can happen.
-
Quit your trolling!!!
-
Don't tempt fate we haven't won yet. We always give goals away and so I would like us to score another 2 before we let one in...gulp!
-
We need to get a third and dominate the game. Hope we can do it?
-
Hopefully just enough to finish a above three other teams...but I wouldn't back on it. Looking at my local team, Norwich City, I think Saints would struggle.
-
Technically correct but I think a draw would sap morale.
-
This is our chance and we are lucky to be given it. Lose or draw to Fulham and we deserve to go down.
-
Defining moment of the season. If we don't win then 16th or even 17th will be beyond us and we could finish 19th.
-
This is a very good summary.

We are in this position due to arrogance and complacency. But, the slide as been happening over a number of years. We have been sleepwalking to relegation, a phrase I coined some years ago. We can still stay up, but as most people say we are in one hell of a fight. Must get three points against Fulham.

Time to hold your nerves. I predicted 16th at the start of the season and I still believe we will achieve that.

The real issue was not so much Katarina's commitment which was fair enough as she only inherited the club. The real problem is who the club was sold to. I am sure that Katarina would have liked to sell to a better buyer, but time was moving on and the cracks were beginning to appear. Had she held on any longer and SFC been relegated she would have lost a lot of money and been saddled with a club in a lot of debt. I am afraid SFC are an unfashionable club and there are not so many buyers. We got very very lucky when Markus bought us.

Don't understand the personal abuse at all. At the end of the day business is business. I think we have been run for maximum profit and there is little room for sentimentality in business.
-
True. It's a shame we didn't get a better buyer. I am hoping that if we get relegated we can steady the ship so that we become a solid championship side and build up again for another promotion push. Rather do it over 5 years than just waste money.

Yep. The smokescreen every summer transfer window was effective in fooling most fans as to our single ambition. Minimum investment and staying up (17th will do and the rest is a bonus), yet when it was called by the likes of myself and Alpine we were lambasted and derided.

If we go down we will be in trouble with an expensive but mediocre squad!
-
Looks like we got shafted on that one.

Good practice though if we go down. This will seem like a snip compared to the cost cutting required for the Championship.
