Yep. Never take anything for granted.

I agree, but we have gone to the extreme in the other direction. Investment has to be targeted at known quality rather than going for cheap squad players. We have three or four players that cost more than they should have done and are going to be difficult to shift, ie Boufal, Carillo etc
-
Well that will result in some much needed painting and decorating as well as new seats etc !
-
Did they play their reserve team?

A great advert for the THIRD tier of English football !!

Pompey are the bestest !!! Winning one of the most prestigious trophies in the lower leagues. With luck, they will be able to defend it next year.

Come on Sunderland 1 up in fisrt penalty
-
Are they going to the penalties, that they planned ? Must make a cup of tea and enjoy the spectacle
-
But it doesn't matter. When they are bankrupt again they will just start a new club.
-
How many points to stay up this year? 39? 40?
-
Yes, 40 points should be the safety mark. Depends on Cardiff Chelsea game imo. Come on Chelsea.

FT A great win

Crimes against humanity, or simple black-market boot-legging?

I listen to the wireless. No fee needed for this and excellent commentary. -
Luggy was a disaster, hard to imagine why he was appointed.
-
Branfoot had a difficult job. The main thing was to keep the club from being relegated. He had limited funds and SFC was a club in steep decline. One way of staying up was playing no frills direct football. To be fair he was brought to the club because he had a reputation of delivering using these methods. Of course, it wasn't pretty to watch but it delivered. Was he a good manager? Maybe that's a tad to far, but he did what was needed.
-
He kept us up and that was what mattered. Created a no nonsense tough style of football that did the job. Good manager.

Well, I am sure any profit will be ploughed back into a suitably (cheaper) replacement.
-
I suppose, apart from Liverpool and Manure there was not such a gap between teams in Division 1 and 2. Being relegated was not the disaster it is today. In fact it really was an opportunity to rebuild with new young players and keep the team together if they went up. There was less elitism amongst the supporters. It really was a sport watched by people who were from modest backgrounds. Pay at the turnstile and a Bovril and a Mars bar were a treat!

Must have been a recording from 5 years ago.

I still don't think Lemina will be reaadt but Ings will
-
Yes I noticed this as well.
-
Oh dear, the wheels re coming off. Mind you I am sure they probably don't necessarily want to go up this year and have the lower leagues cup to win.
-
I think 40 points will be needed this season.

For every mistaken prediction that Alpine makes there are probably 9 far closer to the truth than most.

A good performance and an unlucky defeat. However, to survive we must beat the teams in the bottom third and just around us.
