It's not Koeman we should wish back, but Mane, Pelle and Wanyama. But that won't happen. Still, if we stay up then it will have been a good season.
-
No, apart from VVD I don't think he will have many players to sell for a huge profit this season.
-
I am not allowed to mention one consequence of not scoring, so just agree with most, that a difficult season lies ahead but I cannot mention were we might finish in the league.

The Premier league is unique in its variety of clubs. Make it more exclusive and you kill the very essence of what makes it unique. It just becomes of the same all over the world.

Ranked! Premier PL fans by their annoyingness

I am disappointed we were not 17th. -
We are at a crossroads. It could click and we become a good team, or we continue downhill and fight to stay up.
-
We could of course re construct the Dell.

You need a 'kop' of home fans in one place, at one end, behind the goal and even better make it a terrace. Bring back classic red and white scarfes ! Oh, and scoring and winning helps over 0-0.

Hard fixture list so far. Koeman is a top quality manager. Loyalty in football is a bygone era.

I warned of complacency setting in but I was lambasted by the posters wearing their rose tinted glasses! Well, we are on a downturn and it looks pretty steep. More worrying is that we have new owners who are imo here for the premier league and may well lack the patience to rebuild if we get relegated. Markus saved this club and there aren't many like him around.

Agreed, but complacency is the biggest enemy.

Absolute spot on.
-
Agreed.

It was the reason we got....oh no, can't say that!
-
Money....the club was more interested in selling whilst in profit.
-
Definitely when the rot set in. The failure to replace them with quality in our usual ponderous and unimaginative transfer windows.
-
That kind of talk by the Dalek would result in a refraction. IMO it is the failure to replace Pelle and Mane which is the root of the problem. Complacency started setting in some time ago. Can't blame Katarina for selling when she did. The party is over.

Is he any good up front?

Seriously, never take being in the Premier League for granted. This and staying in the league is itself an achievement. For evidence look at the Championship and you can see many 'big' clubs languishing or having been promoted, finding themselves relegated just as quickly. I was as proud as anything about our 27 year run, unfortunately ended in 2005. Better than any Cup win ! (ie a certain blue team with a naval dockyard on its doorstep).
-
You should always put the club first. It would look very bad to boo one of your own players and will not help in any reconcile the issue. If the boo boys had given Glenn Hoddle a chance in 2004 we probably would have continued our 26 year unbroken run in the top league.

Clearly, we must try and get him to play to the best of his ability and sell him in January. Only if he helps us reach a comfortable place in the league and 40 points at least achievable.
-
I was right, we are going to go for the 'January' option.
-
If he stays can everyone shake hands and get back to normal, then have another go at resolving this properly in January?
