  1. Of course I did. It was an unpopular opinion at the time as people felt it was so far from the truth, but it was definitely beginning to happen. Trends are difficult to spot and if you are one of the first to notice, of course you will be open to ridicule. I understand that.
  2. Alpine was another that was clear in his concerns, he deserves recognition for this.
  3. I have been consistent in saying that the Premier League status is more important than the Cups. We have to put out the reserves against Fulham. It is going to be a hard job staying up and we need to do our very best to do so. 17th will do.
  4. Say what you like, doesn't alter the fact that I was brave enough, along with a few others, to warn of the dangerous trend that was starting off.
  5. If people had taken noticing instead of sleeping we would not be in the mess. I was one of a few voices perceptive enough to see the trend developing.
  6. Ha ha ha! It needn't have come to this had The Board been less complacent over the last 2 and half years.
  7. Sturridge could be one of the best strikers in the PL, if he spent less time on the treatment table.
  8. Yet, had they ignored the vocal minority and appointed Hoddle then we probably would not have been relegated.
  9. Very good post. After the departure of Cortese, I stated that our ambition was being pruned down. Indeed, mid table or even 17th and upwards was acceptable for financial reasons. Unfortunately, this is less ambitious than the expectations of most fans and thus we have a very unstable club.
  10. Liverpool....haha I was right!
  11. Your arguments more or less mirror the one I made in 2004, when the vocal minority led to the board failing to appoint Hoddle and the inevitable debacle as a result off this.
  12. Agree with what you say. It is very easy and 'simplistic' to blame everything on the manager. The squad quality has been allowed to decline over the last three years. In some respects we have benefitted last season from other teams sitting back off us out of respect for a team that they had played in previous season. Now they all know our weakness and are going for the jugular. Forster's stock has fallen the most. All the other teams know he cannot get down low to the corner of his goal and are filling their boots. We are in deep trouble and if lucky we might escape, but where is the team willpower?
  13. I would agree but I could see at the time what people are now describing in retrospect. This decline did not happen overnight but started up to 3 years ago. It has been gradual and of course in the last few months is accelerating at brake neck speed. But, I will say again, the arrogance and complacency set in some time ago.
  14. Pretty blunt analysis on Match of the Day. Players weren't playing for the manager. Fans should be worried for team Lack of basics and as if team were fed up and didn't want to be there. Blindingly obvious that something is seriously wrong.
  15. I find myself in the majority after a long time lonely and in the wilderness.
  16. Its bun fight !!!!
  17. Troll
  18. Charlie is a great injury prone. We should never be in a position to rely on him like we have been doing. We have to give 'staying up' a try with everything we've got, but how?
  19. Off to Man City me thinks...£60 million
  20. Flat, defeated, empty.
  21. Yess !!!!!!
  22. Referee feeling sorry for us now.
  23. Really, if I was to say 17th would I be classified as a clapper?
  24. Tottenham are enjoying themselves...we've gone.
