Good move. Getting his experience in League 2 should be invaluable to us in a few years time, he can come back to Saints and will not even need to move Leagues.

Sorry mate it would be to convenient to bury this crucial piece of the clubs history so that it was forgotten about. It was the turning point of the club. Lowe should have resigned when he sacked Sturrock and those few, and I mean few, fans that helped to scupper the appointment of Glenn Hoddle need to come clean. Furthermore there are people on the board that need to explain themselves !!!!!!!!!

It was pretty obvious that Scooby was an imposter ! He had no peidgree at all.

But he would have been better than PS and Wigley, surely !

He did, because we had some good players, but they were not playing for Sturrock. He had lost the changing rooms befor the end of the summer. Our decline started the day Sturrock walked through the door and if PS had remained we WOULD have been relegated !

Wrong ! Lowe knew that we needed a man of stauts and experience to take saints through difficult times. He showed leadership in the sense that he was prepared to forgive Hoddle's earlier departure for the good of the club. The plan was in place but it was scuppered when Hoddle was put off by the gobby minority and a few spineless members of the board who pandered to those vocal idiots.

Yer, that wackiness continued when we signed a League 1 nobody as our new manager over an successful ex England and successful ex saints boss. Oh, and the biggest irony was that the decision was madfe after the lunatics had taken over the asylum !!! We were mugged and beaten when that happened, but the lunatics won't even admit who they were !

The real damage to thsi club was done a few years ago and more people are responsible than they would care to admit. Nevertheless a good sequence of wins would be the first step on the long way back to the promised land.

The only way we can get out of this mess is by winning football matches so I wasnt us to win every game. Having said that I can understand the despondency which has led some people to give up. We have been in a mess since 2004 because we have simply not won enough matches and we have to get that winning habit again.

We put principle before sense in the Spring of 2004. Showed our intent by employing a league One manager over an ex england manager and started to build the team to match our ambitions.

I would rather see us grind out 1-0 victories and still be in the Premiership, occasionally giving the likes of Manure and Pool a bloody nose. We had a few good managers that got the team to achieve this, but that is history.

There were alterantives to Sturrock. Obviously Glenn Hoddle was one, but not the only one.

The biggest mistake Lowe made was taking a risk on a totally unproven manager at premiership level, aka Sturrock. To then stick with Wigley was bishaer negligence.

The fact that Jan has no authority is like the Sturrock episode all over again.

The Archers was the place for Home fans wanting to give it all to the away fans. I wouldn't say this was the place for the best behaved fans.
