Hoddle is now firmly in the running for a return to SFC !

Le Tissier is right. Sturrock was out of his depth, he did not have the respect of the Premier players. We needed a manager with pedigree, we could have appointed one, but a very vocal, but minority of fans saw that this did not happen.

A renegade Dalek ?

This stuff about saints going into admin is just a rumour. I wouldn't bother giving it another thought.

But he is done that before. Why gamble on a manager that had no experiebce of the Premiership ie Sturrock and with a dressing room full of experienced prem players when the club needed a manager WITH premier experience. Yes, Hoddle would have been a good choice, but aside from this, there were other candidates. So why ?

Whatever PR teams do, they cannot change history if people remember the facts. The danger is when people are selective in their use of the facts or try and erase facts from history. These posts are opinion and by their very nature biased on both sides.

That line is worth pursuing if you want the answer to the riddle.

Irony ?

The Branfoot era was about staying in the top league, something we achieved. We look like going into Div 1. However, I felt worse when we appointed a League 1 novice over a successful ex saint and england manager. I knew that we would be in trouble from that day onwards and my fears have been proved right.

Is Billy Davies available again ?

Not reinstating Hoddle. That was the original plan which was derailed by fan protest. The appointment of Sturrock was unnecessary and unwarranted. This episode has still to be explained if you want to find the root of our current predicament.

We've got to go for Hoddle. we should have done five years ago. This time the vocal few will have to hold their tongues and put the club first.

No it was failing to appoint Hoddle five years ago. Lowe went for the cheap inexperienced option then and began the spiral downwards.

It's like the last few moments of the Titanic, panic breaks out, people lose their heads and fight amongst themselves before we sink into the deep abyss.

When will we reach rock bottom ? We have been nose diving ever since the appointment of Sturrock. When will it end ?

I said before the last game that we would win three in a row, so I am going for a win 3-0 to the saints making it 2 out of 3

I think the Saints fans should adopt the away colours and support the away team and leave a few thousand fanatical saints fans in a corenr of the ground and surrounded by the old bill to create an away atmosphere at every home game.

The longer we go at home without a good performance the more it becomes an issue with the players and fans. Failing to win becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. In football, confidence counts for a lot !

We will win the next three games.

Things are going to happen inthe next two weeks that make the last three years look like a tea party.

Very contentious ! Anyway, why bring Hoddle into the argument ?
