This nightmare that started in 2004, continues.

True. Those fans that destabilised the club after their protests to reinstate Glenn Hoddle in 2004 should also look at themselves and finally admit their part in the downfall of the club instead of deflecting it on to others.

The sloution to survive is to sell every player at the club at a knock down price and make do next season with what is left. We may have to accept relegation to League 2 and beyond.

Not worth it. A good shout for our new season though.

If the vocal few had kept their mouths shut in 2003 we would have seen the appointment of Glenn Hoddle and would most likely be contemplating yet another season of unbroken premier football today !

Paul Ince would be a wise choice and don't rule out Glenn Hoddle.

Going back to the origins of our decline, definitely 2003.We were thrashed by arsenal days before the Cup final. WGS played a different style for the final in the fear we would be humiliated if we played an open game. We needed investment and never got it. The decision appoint a League 1 manager ie PS was a disaster.

Glenn hoddle. He has the contacts and led Swindon out of the old third division.

It's all over now. May as well start the major rebuild as from Monday.

Tell him not to bother coming back.

Surely now we can agree. Bring in Glenn Hoddle next season and have a total rebuild of the team.

This is not a joke, it is a realistic option.

Say what you like but it was the appointment of Sturrock and then Wigley that saw our deep decline. Had we appointed an experienced manager like Hoddle the chances of that decline damaging us would have been far less.

Most people know that this is the root of our decline, but some people would prefer to forget.

Maybe, or could Glenn be persuaded to come back ?

Hoddle could be a saviour to this club. we could get some investment into the club via the academy and start building for the future.

If Lowe's original plan to put Hoddle in as mamager in 2004 had been allowed to happen we would still be a premier team !
