No, but I am passionate about the truth.

Hoddle did apologise but he was drowned out by a small vocal minority who had an agenda. This was to stop Hoddle at all costs. We have been paying ever since.
-
I would agree with this.

Take notice of the Silent majority of Saints fans and avoid being swayed by the vocal and often very mistaken minority.
-
Maybe, but I predicted this mess in the Spring of 2004 when we made the greatest error of all, the appointment of Paul sturrock over Glenn Hoddle.

It's called class. Also tatty old Land Rovers and VW Golf's...to an extent.

It is hard now. But, the good times will return and when we taste success it will be that much sweeter.

Dr Who and the Dalek

This is a significant point. Next 24 hours are very crucial !

No room for sentiment. No loyalty in football etc. PFC will appoint the best man for the job and will be happy to accept, regardless of history. That is the way to do it !

I think that Strachan would be the ideal manager. He has proven himselfat Saints. Mind you, a small number of the fans would probably NOT welcome him back as they have a bit of a problem with this idea !
-
I'm really looking forward to going to Leyton Orient.

The trouble was that the players were used to a big name manager like Strachan and had expected the return of Glenn Hoddle. The sudden decision to appoint a manager from the lower leagues and with no Premier experience started the scepticism before Sturrock walked through the door. Had we originally appointed Hoddle, as had been planned since WGS announced that he was leaving, we would probably have remained in the Premier to this day. The decision to appoint Sturrock was a bizzare one, and was a result of a protest led by a vocal minority of misguided saints fans.

The debate on whether Glenn Hoddle should have been appointed in 2004 rumbles on.

League one is too good for McG.

If we are history we need a porper in depth analtsis of the stages in which it all went wrong, going back several years. Not, a cover up !
-
All this talk about obsession....
-
People put their own viewas above the good of the club.
-
We have been dis-united ever since the vocal minority hijacked the club in 2004 and blocked the appointment of Glenn Hoddle for ther our selfish and vindictive egos.

Thanks everyone some crackers in this. I can't do a poster but how about 'One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest'

Another idea is to Nationalise football clubs and make them one big organisation. This happened when the railway companies were nationalised as British Rail. Without any competition we can relax and concentrate on eating our stale chees sandwi ches over a luke warm cup of sugary tea.

We didn't reaslie it, but I think we were already on the decline. I am sure that the drubbing given to us a few weeks before by the Arse knocked the stuffing out of us and was a reality check for WGS. We needed major re-investment and we di not get it in the Autmn and so WGS was left. We then showed our ambition by appointing a L1 manager over a successful england manager. With the help of some fans we have achieved part of the equation, now we just need to get back Luggy !

Next year is about stabilising the ship. I think we can push on the season afterwards.

KK without money to spend ? I don't think so.
