Pardew is the first manager since WGS who has status and respect from the top players. GB should have had all of these, but he seems to have lost the plot. The importance of signing a respected known manager, in Pardew is evident. Pity we didn't do this in the Spring of 04.

We are still a very nervous team. Other teams sense it, and know the best way to unsettle us is to take the game tom us. Also, the crowd is still nervous and this get to the players. We need to be comfortable in the table before we can relax and impose ourselves on the oppostion

Before the Brighton game I said that our priority must be safety and we should forget giving ourselves fancy labels. One target at a time, it must first of all be to haul ourselves out of the relegation zone.

I don't have a hatred for PFC, that is toos strong. I want them to exist, but at the wrong end of League 2 and find us successfully back in the premier. We can then lord it over them and hopefully occasionally draw them in the cup, soundly thrash them and put them back in their place.

Norwich are a very good team and will exploit our weakness. Norwich win and they will do it comfortably.
