  1. You are right and we slipped into an arrogant complacency. It didn't happen overnight. I coined the phrase some years ago 'sleepwalking' to relegation and many people (including the Sunday Times), are now using the same phrase.
  2. Anyone think Forster would be OK in the Championship. Kelvin was Ok in L1 and Championship, but could never quite cop with the PL?
  3. You have to hope the players will do their best right to the end. But that is the problem...will they?
  4. At least Branfoot kept us up!
  5. Post of the week.
  6. Hopefully Les Reed will be sacked or resign in the next 24 hours.
  7. Hopefully Mr Les Reed will have been sacked.
  8. Hughes is a very good manager. My second choice would e Alex Neil. Don't think we will ever see Hoddle manage this club again.
  9. Like Wigan????
  10. I there are not relegation clauses it is proof of the arrogance of those at the top thinking they would not be needed. People took our Premier status for granted. We ****ed it away in 2005 and now again.
  11. Agree. Had we had a proper manager for the season we would probably have been OK. I suppose losing today shows how shot of confidence we are.
  12. I know what you are saying but be 2-0 up and 20 minutes to go... a real kick in the guts
  13. and Palace
  14. Its all over.
  15. Rationally I agree. But, in football form does not always fit the outcome. We need a massive amount of luck and anything, including the scrappiest win will do.
  16. Quite close. Well done.
  17. Imagine if Paul Allen had bough the club, we could have been one of the top 6 instead of struggling to finish 17th.
  18. It was indeed a Golden Era in so many ways...
  19. However much I repeated the warnings, people preferred to bury their heads in the sand. Now people are singing the same tune, years later and retrospectively.
  20. The problem is that those of us who pointed out the errors and the repercussions were demonised and vilified.
  21. Don't rule out a Stoke revival.
  22. A very sobering thought. Who would have thought it ?
  23. He has dithered and bottled it in the major transfer windows. Why people put up with it for so long I don't know.
  24. Yes, it is hard to take. Even harder is the fact that our position could have easily been avoided and those that run the club need to face up to it, because they are largely to blame.
  25. It's looking bleak. This is where complacency, dithering, indecision and arrogance leads. Still, might as well keep trying, you never know. There are some very poor teams just above Saints.
