Realistically, we can be a club that oscillates between the Premier League and the Championship. Occasionaly we might get good run in the cups, which we could win. Also, we can expect to make the news with the occasional bloody nosing of the likes of Chelski and Manure. We are in the same mould as Stoke, Sunderland, Norwich and WBA. I would be happy with that. If people want more then they would be advised to support a plastic team, but that is a souless pursuit !

Controlling the players is a skilled busimess. The worst case of losing the changing room was Luggy. He was a disaster. Mind you he should never have been appointed and would not have done had some of the board not bottled the appointment of Hoddle. As we know the vocal minority were responsible for influencing the board.

Norwich City's championship winning side has only 4 players left in the side that finished top of League 1. They had a big restructure last summer and are preparing to do it again this summer. Saints need to do something similar, but does NA have the experience to handle it ?

It wan't Lowe that bottled Hoddle's re-appointment, it was the board. They bottled it because a noisy minority of fans put a petty vendetta before the good of the club. The vast majority of fans, as reflected in the above statements, would have been happy for Hoddle to come back because they knew it was the best bet to secure our Premier status. The scandal remains and worse is that some fans have done their very best to deflect their role in the near destruction of SFC.

The terraces. In a way the old fashioned simplicity and honesty of league 1. Felt at times we were going back to the old days. Some of the fans from League 1 were 'real football' supporters, knowledgeable, stoical and loyal. No plastics in league 1. Glad to leave league 1, but with some good memories.
