No surely not. Wurzel and Wigley. Wurzel was the biggest disaster for this club and began our slide to League 1

No Dalek slagging because I have yet to prime up the thread and set off the fireworks ! Actually, this is quite a friendly thread with people posting who obviously have a good sense of humour !

Listen Hypo, I think you are suffering from too much pressure. let me help you out and take some of that pressure off you. IF WE HAD ALLOWED HODDLE BACK IN 2004 WE WOULD PROBABLY BE PREMIERSHIP CHAMPIONS AND IT IS ALL THE FAULT OF THE VOCAL MINORITY !!! # Now that should do the trick !

Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would be wary of complacency !

if you sit on that fence much longer you'll have a big splinter in your a**e !!!!!!!!!!

Branfoot kept us in the top league. Style was brutal but job done !

Evolution yes, stagnation...no. If we don't evolve, we won't survive.

SFC Public Relations Dept in disguise ?

You may be right, we'll know by about October. One thing about Norwich, they were early and decisive in the transfer market.
-
No Danns then, No ????, then No ????? then, I'm afraid this may become a familiar phrase over the next few weeks.
-
We definitely need to strengthen. The worst enemy could be complacency.

Sharp, Maynard, CMS - who would be best for saints?

Well, July is fast approaching and we are going to make a move we will probably have to in the next two weeks. Our intent and ambitions will surely be revealed. TBH I am nervous... certainly not building up my hopes. -
Biggest Flop Signing & Low Expectation That Came Good
Dalek2003 replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
The 'Delgado Debacle' I'd call it. Wasn't he injured when we bought him ? Who was actually responsible for buying him ? -
Rupert Lowe lost his way big time. Shame, because until 2004 he was doing well.
-
Well, you might also get the chance to meet some of the club members and find out whether we are or are not intending to buy in new players. Interesting here in Norwich how Paul Lambert last season and this summer is taking a very different strategy. Very decisive and bold and publicly talking about need to get players in early so as to prepare for the season.

Agree with this, especially in relation to the clubs history over the last 10 years and one issue in particular. Of course, issues(and individuals who try and reveal the truth), are often ridiculed to deflect attention by those who are the chief perpetrators or have the most to lose.
-
Alpine, are you worried that we have failed to learn from the our past experiences. No new players and little time to gel if we do get any ? I am worried, big time.
-
To some extent I agree. We are either playing a very clever game or we are not playing any game at all ! I fear the latter.
-
I agree for once. In fact if we are really successful in the future it might be cheaper to move to a complete new stadium.
-
It doesn't look like we are going to make many big signings of any significance. We either haven't got the funds or we are being elbowed out. Staying in the NPC could be the aim next season. Tough test for NA

As it says on the packet 'The Original and the Best' I have been with 'Saintsweb' and its predecessors as it has evolved over 10 years. However, as a Dalek i am stuck in a 2004 time warp vortex.

Championship fixtures released - Leeds at home first

Hopefully we will be safe by then, but could be worse if we are desperate for the three points.
