I think Hughes has enough to ensure we stay up, which ultimately is the main objective for the Board and owner. If we stay up with the lowest outlay possible then profits remain good.

Quite a lot of people said the opposite. I said that it was going to be a long hard season and I was not alone. Also, some people were surprised at the way we struggled last season and this. The signs were there around 2014, if you looked carefully and with a bit of analysis. Admittedly, it was difficult to see as it was disguised by a good run and a feel good factor. Also, an effective propaganda machine. But at the same time, complacency was setting in. Selling off really good key players and 'getting by'. There was a clear lack of urgency and a sense of drift, especially in the acquisition of key players. I still think we will stay up, but already keeping an eye on our relegation rivals ie Huddersfield and Cardiff and a few others.

That was uncalled for.

If Burnley are 'crap', why didn't we beat them? Having said that, I agree with you and stand by my prediction of 15th.

I always predict our finish at the start of the season, and this year I said 15th. I stand by that. Take note, I was the only one to make a correct prediction last season and I made it before the first game.

Yep, we have problems in this defence but there is better available.

More like people acknowledging the wisdom of people the Dalek. I was well ahead at alerting people to the problems and an accurate prediction of 17th made right at the start of last season.

17th? Never. Well I was the only one on this forum to predict 17th at the start of last season and was bang on. I must be the ultimate expert. I will confirm my prediction in the next few days.

Er...not me. Always thought it was 14th to 17th but worried after last season that Les is taking this for granted.

Last year was very exciting. I would prefer an non stressful mid table finish, but a relegation battle is more exciting.

'Coined it first'? No, it was the Dalek that saw the dangers of complacency, the lack of decisiveness and the slide down the league, long before anyone else. Many have joined the party late and now claim to have seen it coming whilst lambasting the Dalek who was the only one calling it.

Thought about it. 16th or 17th. Again, will be considered a great season by the board as money rolls in with minimum outlay.

Last season I made the ridiculous and outrageous prediction of 17th. More chance of Aliens lading at St. Mary's I was told. Perhaps I should take heed of those wiser and more knowledgable posters who predicted top 10. Hmmm...I will have to think about it.
