I've just stuck a tenner on saints to get relegated
MOSaint replied to gr00031's topic in The Saints
A tenner down the ****ter there. -
That's sessegnon finished for the season.
-
Yeah, some doesn't have the pace at this level get, poor going forward and he's always tucking in far too much and allowing opposition wingers acres of space.. Hooiveld is another that is no more than capable at this level, doesn't do that bad against big men with no pace, but up against anyone quick and he looks awful.

SAINTS 0-3 West Bromwich Albion // Post-Match Reaction
MOSaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Hooiveld & Fox definitely not up to the standard and as for Ramirez, I'm not sure he fits in with What Pochettino wants from the side and I'm not fussed either way over whether he stays or not. What is most worrying about Ramirez is that rather than improving as you would think he would if it was merely a matter of adjusting to the PL style he's gotten worse as the season has progressed. -

Credit to WBA though they did a number on us today. Lukaku is a beast and if Chelsea had any sense he'd be playing for them next season. -

WTF were Ramirez & Fox thinking? Did they want to go on holiday early? Get a early start looking for new clubs? -

Get Ramirez, Mayuka or Puncheon on if things don't improve by the 60th minute.
-
Hooiveld hs no pace & Maya is not exactly Usain Bolt A CB with a turn of pace is essential in the summer.
-
Defence looks like they've ****ed off on their holidays, shocking. Lukaku should have had a hat trick ffs
-
Looking for a win tomorrow, WBA have not been great away from home recently and Mulumbu, who dominated the midfield when we played them in November and is their best player IMO, is suspended tomorrow.

Pochettino targets Champions League spot next season
MOSaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Spend 50m net in the summer and there's an outside chance we could mount a challenge for 6th. Important to remember that in addition to having a much weaker first 11, the depth of our squad is a joke compared to the likes of Chelsea/Spurs/Arsenal/Everton/Liverpool. -
Saints make 8 million bid for Athletico's Adrian Lopez

Link? Can only find it on one of those transfer twitters that take stuff from football-rumours. -
When asked about it last week Brendan Rodgers didn't sound enthusiastic about getting in via fair play here is what he said:
-
This is the criteria UEFA takes into account for fair play: Looking at who usually gets these fair play places, it seems Scandinavian are dominant. Especially after UEFA changed it to top 3 getting places instead of just the winner + 2 randomly drawn countries. Be a while before we know either way though since the ranking goes all the way to May 31st.

When he says "his" list does he mean a names he has been given or is that just a list based off his own personal opinion? Mayuka aside, I have no problem with any of those players getting shown the door as none of them are of the required standard for this league. Feel Mayuka should be given another season to see if he can adjust to the PL and it will be interesting to see if MP gives him an opportunity to prove himself in one of these final fixtures.
-
I'm shocked he lasted so long before he made the "this lot wouldn't get me out the championship" dig. He did it after about 2 games when he was here.

Simon Peach @SimonPeach 2h Just seen #QPR's Fabio get in his car & drive off at half-time. Commitment. And here we all thought 'arry was a wheeler dealer, a motivator of men. Someone who could handle all the egos.

Worrying set of fixtures for Villa given Sunderland have started to play well under Di Canio
-
Depending on the severity of Lambert's knock, he could get his chance next week. If not from the start then at least he may be given the opportunity to play the last 30 minutes or so.

Decent point, especially given how we played. Fox was Dire, got torn to shreds by Dyer it was fortunate for us he has not got a final ball or we would have lost. Boruc - 7: little to do but did well when needed Clyne - 7: Swansea got little change out of him, bar one moment where he got himself into trouble Yoshida - 8: Defended very well and made an excellent goal line clearance Jos - 7: Dealt with Michu well for the most part Fox - 4: Dyer tore him to shreds, we were lucky Dyer can't cross. Cork - 8: MotM for me, fough hard and stifled a lot of Swansea's play through the middle Morgan - 7: Got stuck in well as always, forward passing was not excellent. Rodriguez - 6: A couple of decent runs, but not as good as he has been recently, went missing when moved up front on his own. Davis - 7: Not a great deal going forward, but he worked hard off the ball and made things difficult Lallana - 5: Save for a couple of contentiously won fouls and the disallowed goal, was probably his worst game of the season. Lambert - 6: Not his best game, isolated for long periods. Subs: Ramirez - 5: made no impact whatsoever Puncheon - 5: Made no impact Mayuka - 6: Not much time to make a difference, but at least got himself involved and won a couple of fouls.
-
Thank **** Nathan Dyer can't cross. Poor 1st half, got a bit better towards the end.
