Our wage bill is big. Forster is on obscene money for a 3rd choice keeper, Stephens is on about 40-50k apparently and hes what, 4th choice? Carillo, Boufal, Clasie probably all on a chunk and dont even play in the same country. Even Harry Reed is on 30k a week ffs. We pay average players stupid money and most of them aren't even near the first 11.

It's not hard luck. We've lead 11 out of 14 games and only won 1. That is a clear pattern of play, we can't hold on to a lead and we need someone else in charge who can make these goofs believe in themselves a bit and show some mettle. Hughes has had as many games as Pelligrino and is doing worse. No lessons have been learned and we are doomed. We have a board with zero football experience and the worst Saints performing manager we've had. It baffles and infuriates me that nothing is being done. It's so obvious that a better manager could get something out of this lot.

I realise on the face of that comment, it sounds worse than I meant. 100% I want us to win, obviously that goes without saying. I want to be happy on a saturday evening for a change as much as anyone else. Just saying that IMO a draw is a rubbish result, and with a bit of spin, would possibly keep Hughes going for a bit longer. I wanted it to work with Hughes, genuinely, but it isn't so a change has to happen and a loss would probably give that a better chance of that. I'm not saying I don't want us to win for even a second. We nearly went down as a result of death by a thousand draws last year and I don't think we'll be saved this time round. Just saying if I had a choice of a loss and Hughes to go, or another pointless and frustrating draw against a team we should be beating, I'd probably sacrifice the one point and roll the dice thats all.
-
I'd rather lose than draw, genuinely. Least it means we're closer to Hughes going. The only silver lining.
-
I'm already annoyed at tomorrows result
-
For me, the draws are the worst. They do very little for us and just about keep Hughes clinging on (despite us all knowing he should go). A loss, at least pushes the board closer to a decision (you would think..), and I'll always be happy if we win. Fed up of the draws. We draw when we should win, and lose the rest.

I remember seeing an interview where Poch made them do so much running, that Lambert and other senior players went and expressed their unhappyness at such. Poch then made them run even more the next day. Don't care what level you play at, the fitter you are the better you will do.

The only silver lining of a loss on Saturday I hope will be Hughes gone. Knowing our morons in charge, even that probably won't happen.

Saints to give £250,000 to Gift to Richard Scudamore

It could be argued they are having more fun than we are this season. -
Hope that kills you isn't it? Twitter rumours doing the rounds on this now..

I imagine anyone who has ever played Saturday/Sunday games has the same issue; December - January games get called off then you play massive amounts of games with bare bone sides around February. We would play Monday, Weds, Saturday just to catch up. The amount that money could do would make a difference, but instead they want to line a very wealthy mans pocket even more. Absolutely discraseful. -

Meanwhile clubs go into liquidation for debts of 20k. Sickening. -
Hard to think about us ever winning again at this point. Probably another frustrating draw, will assume that we concede late on. If we don't win that should be Hughes last roll of the dice. Should be gone already and use these two weeks to be searching for his replacement.

I think back to when we played Leeds in our promotion season, we threw everything we could to stop them scoring. This lot don't. John Terry for all his faults as a human being, would do whatever it takes to get something in the way of the ball. These guys are not getting out to stop shots, and turning their back when they do. Take pride in a clean sheet and maybe we might start getting more of them. Jokers.

Another disappointing result, very much the norm. How many times can we concede late on, it's mind boggling. Aside from the controversy, the second half performance was pretty poor. Game was far too open from my perspective, we just don't seem to be able to shut games out. Sides like Hudds/Brighton can actually trust their defence to not concede when they hold a lead by and large, we simply aren't able to. It seems to have got a bit lost in the controversy that we still had the game in our hands, we were still ahead. All we had to do was not concede and the defending for their goal was SO bad. JWP could clear it, fluffs it. No one rushed out to stop the shot, felt like he had an eternity to get it away. And then Cedric, the absolute fairy turns his back and it flicks off him. We're in a scrap, we should be throwing our bodies on the line but that was pathetic. Same old same old. Only encouragement was the 11 picked was nearer to what I'd like to see. If we don't win at Fulham then we're truly stuffed.

Be lovely if we could see Vestergaard and Yoshi; you know, our two best defenders playing together (imo)
-
Do not.. play with us on this subject..
-
Listened to it all last night, very funny and interesting listen - highly recommend. Shows what a mess we were in, and ironically how close we are to that now.
-
Personally, I'd love it if they all naffed off.

As much a have fond memories of WGS, it's a no from me. We don't need someone who is just going shout. We need a manager with a plan that the players will actually buy into. Some sort of style that is exciting. For me it's Brendan Rodgers but I can't see it. If we learned anything from last year then it is to not leave it too late. Hughes has had enough time to make his mark and none of us are seeing any improvement; it's not too late, yet.

People will say it’s not games like this that’ll define our season. Well, I’d argue that home games against the likes of Brighton, Burnley, Leicester and Newcastle probably will, and we haven’t won any of those either. We are a shambles.
-
Skybet have us to more likely to lose 6-0 (at 20/1) than for us to win at all (at 26/1)
-
I think Hudds / Cardiff will go regardless, the last spot will be between us, Fulham and Newcastle. My only real hope is that Newcastle implode if Rafa goes, but no guarantees. As other have said, the relegation scraps of old I never doubted the effort of our players, but this lot just sleepwalk to defeat every game. We all know they are capable of doing more, but never do.
