What an awful team..

I can honestly say that was one of the worst performances I have see Saints put in. The crowd were very up for it at the start and I thought it would have reflected on the players. We started ok up to about 20 minutes, but even then apart from Surman hitting the post, we didnt create one serious opening. Nothing. After that they totally lost the crowd. They looked like they were going to score from every single corner and although I don't think they deserved to be in the lead at half time (as they were pretty poor too) we certainly didn't. McGoldrick was absoloutely abysmal and can't believe he stayed on for as long as he did. No mistakes about it, we deserved to lose today, we just had nothing at all upfront. There were a few times where we had the ball in the middle and not one of thier centre backs was marking a player - how are we ever going to look a threat twhen thier defence has nothing to do ? We are supposed to be playing with width, yet when our full backs have the ball there is no-one down the line, seems like somehting that should be done too. Our corners were pretty lame too. It was a pretty bad day all round, I haven't left early in amatch before but I did today, we were never going to win that one !

Just got my tickets for this one and am really looking forward to it. Probably one of the biggest games all season and it's going to be very nerve-wracking from start to finish. Big, big game and we have to win.

I think there's going to be a great atmosphere on the day, every single person apart from p*mpey fans will want us to win that day, and yeah, we probably will lose. However I think theres going to be such a buzz around the place on the very small off chance that we could pull something off. We have no pressure on us so should be pretty enjoyable (until we start losing)

Im not totally peeved as I normally am when we lose on TV. Everyone loves a tryer and we really did give it a go today so can't be massiveley annoyed at the lads. Shame though, as I think we deserved a point there. Ratings: Davis - 7 - Saved a penalty and looked pretty assured, wasnt hugely busy but did everything well. Cork - 8 - Relaly impressed with him, looked very composed and always wants the ball. Lancashire - 5 - Didn't deal well with Adebola at all. Pearce - 7 - Gives side a lot more strength. Skacel - 6 - Didn't get involved enough. Thompson - 5 - Was kept pretty quiet. Lallana - 8 - As always, looked like one of the only guys who was going to create something. Surman - 8 - Ran the show in parts, very good performance. Wotton - 5 - Game passed him buy today. Gobern - 6 - Looked ok, just didn't create enough. McGoldrick - 6 - Thought he was ok today, did his fair share of work. BWP - 6 - Was alright when he came on. Euell - 5 - Didn't do a lot and missed a really good chance. Peckhart - 6 - Played well from the little time he was on.

We needed the break there, they were really piling on the pressure. Got to start playing better.

Would Chelsea be that happy to loan him to another (although not a very threatening) Premier league club ? Also, he's going to get so many more games for us than he would od for Bolton, hopefully Chelski would see that !
