Not sure how many are aware but there's an event going on in June to play at St Marys - four 11 a side teams managed by Dodd, Ormerod, Le Tiss and Benali. wondered if anyone else from here has booked their place? Be tempted to get Pelle on so at least the ball can stick upfront, as long as he doesn't do any of his nothingy flicks. Like to see Tadic on too.

With Mane, Tadic & JWP all rested Saturday, wouldn't be too surprised to see them all feature. Quite nice to know we have such a decent bench and able to bring a few in who will be totally fresh for this.

On the way back now. Still pretty annoyed to be honest. Real low point and I would say the first time I'm actually pretty worried for this season. We looked every bit the lower - mid table team today that we are and very few signs of the team we were last season at all. Mane. If he was late and keoman was sending a threat then fair enough. But we were crying out for him from about 25 minutes. We had nothing in attack at all, which made our missing chances even more annoying, and let's face it, is a massive trend in our matches nowadays. As always, we did absolutely zero in the second half. Literally nothing at all. It was so poor it was untrue Wanyama. Get rid. Had enough of him now, and not just on this game alone. He's been pretty naff all season and seems to have so much less of an impact Stek - 6. Didn't have to do much and no chance for the goal Martina -6. solid, very unspectacular. Fonte - 7. Decent game VVD - 7. handled their big guy well. Bertrand 8. Probably our best attacking threat Ward-Prowse - 5. Honestly don't know what he does anymore. Clasie - 7. Really decent game. Wanyama - 5. Muppet. Davis - 6. Really quiet by his standards Tadic - 6. Pretty anonymous. Long 6. Tried hard, can't fault him that. No support at all.

Got my tickets today. Winnable game, battered them at home earlier this season.

Stek Cedric - Fonte - VVD - Bertrand Romeu - Wanyama Davis - Mane - Tadic Pelle Yes , they've got a quick front line but our defenders aren't slow either. Should be able to win this one, but I'm not overly confident.

Some bizarre team selections going on in this thread, Van Dijk up top and playing the kids away at Man City right up there. Let Mane, Tadic and Long roam around, Liverpool caused them mayhem without any real physical presence up front so no reason we can't do the same. Think we could get something out of this. Strange game for me, I thought the inclusion of Yoshida was a strange one when Cedric has been playing well. Saying that, Some of the comments I've seen about Yoshida this season have been laughable. For me I think he's great cover, but seems some fans have made their minds he's rubbish and will never see different. Dominated the first half hour, then a scrappy, nothing, offside goal and the game changes. We reacted well at first but then everything changed. Stopped doing all the good stuff we were doing. Dreadful mistake for their second, no getting past it. Maybe next season we won't gift wrap them one, who knows. And the 3rd annoyed me too, we had about 7 players in the box, and the ball still found its way off the post to Mata! Our second softened the blow a bit and was great to see us give it a go. Really looking forward to getting Clasie and Bertrand back now, Ward-Prowse and Davis not been up to much so far, so that midfield position is ready for Clasie to snap up.

Amazed there are even a few people who don't admire what a great job he did. Some of the best memories I have as a saints fan are from his time in charge. What a guy.

Games I was at: Lambert v Millwall - absolute scenes when that went in. Sharp v Pompey - kind of ruined by the horror a few minutes later, but mental none the less.. De ridder v Reading - dont really know what it was about this one, down to ten maybe, but that away end was madness. Games I wasn't at: Fonte v Brighton Davis v Man City Tadic v Utd Rasiak v Derby

Norris. After the absolute scenes minutes beforehand it was beyond gutting. The only thing that got me through was that when walking away I thought we'll probably stil go up and they'll still go down - thankfully, that's exactly what happened. The worst though for me was Marcus Bent. It felt like that whole horrendous season had been crunched into one horrifically painful moment, added to the fact that I knew 100% that because of it we were going down. For about an hour afterwards my whole family didn't say a word to each other.

Would be surprised if he went to Chelsea to sit behind Cahill, Terry and Zouma. But then a hefty wage will soften that blow.

I would be chuffed if we got Austin. Think he'd be a good fit - we've all been crying out for competition for Pelle and this guy knows where the net is. Get him in.

What irked me more was that he was rewarded with an England call up not long after. Classic Woy. £16 million for a squad player? Good deal for us, left at the first chance he got.. Bellerin is far better than him.

I think get to the group stage, to not do so would be disappointing. Then get in the top 10 is probably realistic. We'll need some squad depth for sure.

I think as long as he doesn't go to Liverpool or Spurs I won't be too arsed. Any of the top 4 I can't begrudge him.

As long as he doesn't go to Spurs, I can't help but wish him every bit of luck. We've been incredibly lucky to have him as long as we have. Watched a player grow from a boy into a real top, top player. He threw his toys out the pram a bit but then showed great attitude in sticking it out. He's only right to have ambition and want to achieve it. He's served us well.

Just back. Good win, really thought it would be a tricky game so was pleased to, in the end, get a pretty comfy win out of it. First half wasn't that good. Burnley did more than enough to get a goal themselves and on another day could have gone into the second half in the lead. We played a lot across the back, I presume to draw them out a bit. The side was a bit unbalanced and it wasn't really working. Wanyama coming on changed it all, the guy is a monster and we had total control all second half. Getting an early goal was key as we coasted after that. We played some great stuff at some points. Regarding Pelle, thought he was good today. Hold up play was brilliant at times, strong, got other involved, put himself about. No complaints from me at all. Everyone was urging him to score. On another note, Alderwerield looked like a full grown man playing against a bunch of 11 year olds, an absolute class above.

Europa should not be a hindrance to us.. we do need to start remembering how doomed we felt before the season started - I for one was sure we were going to seriously struggle and knock the confidence of our youngsters. But instead we've had a remarkable season regardless whether we finish in the top 4 or not. To get into Europe will be awesome, it's a selling point to potential new players. I think we'd do well as well.. and lets face it, the further we get the more and more we'd want to win it. More revenue, and maybe a few big European nights. If we can get a slight advantage into getting into it, then wicked. It would be great for us.

Well it shouldn't matter loads.. but he is their captain and sits in front of the defence - so hopefully we might get a shot at goal
