What a day that was. Was exhausted almost as soon as the final whistle went! Atmosphere wise, that’s the best I’ve seen at St Marys for a good while, everyone was doing their bit, especially the last 15 minutes when it was on a knifedge and I found myself staring through my fingers and looking at the clock. Great fight from the players, Lemina, Tadic and McCarthy the clear stand outs, but everyone did their bit. Both sets of players on their knees when it finished, and at this stage of the season and where we are, it’s what we need to see to be honest. Weve dragged Hudds and West Ham back in it now. We still have to get another win at least, but we’ve put the cat amongst the pigeons..

Lose this and it's all but over. Win and it's still all to play for, especially with some winnable games. We've played well against two good teams, we've got a game against a team with nout to play for and haven't been that good recently. There's every chance we could get something. That said, I don't actually think we will. This false hope that has hung over us can go away and we can all just finally admit once and for all we're down.

Most experienced premier league managers worth their salt will keep this team up, and I include Hughes in that. Against all odds our destiny is in our own hands still so he gives us a fighting chance. Everyone on here would rather Hughes than Pellegrino so at least we can be thankful of that. Would rather this was done 3 months ago, or even 3 games ago, but there you go.

Been checking this thread multiple times a day since Saturday on the hope some ITKer will post the good news that he’ll be off. Not even a sniff. Incredible he’s still here. Everyone in the football world can see he’s an embarrassment, apart from those who can actually do somethig about it. Totally maddening!

Another game closer to the slow death. A game that we should be able to sneak a win in, but probably won't.
-
When would you have pulled the trigger on Pellegrino?

Burnley game for me. I thought he would’ve been gone after Leicester, and every game since. Somehow though.. -
Horrific.

Horrendous team lineup. Awful performance. This guy is somehow still our manager. It actually beggars belief.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have just one good day this season? Desperately need the points tonight.

Dreading tomorrow and the potential horrendous mood I will be in if we don't win. Massive game, one of which if we don't get all 3 points I'll really start to think we're doomed to go down. Quietly confident we might do just enough.

Was about as tense as I can remember from the minute I woke up. Work was a write-off, all I thought about was the game Was watching wit my dad at home, and it was without a doubt the most mental I've gone when not in the stands. Felt pretty lightheaded after. Felt like I'd been waiting all my life for a goal like that.

The stats say it all.4 wins out of nearly 25 games, 1 win in nearly 15. Absolutely shambolic with the squad he has. Never wanted a manager out so badly.

Anyone have any idea what the restricted view seats are like?

Yeah agreed, thought there would have been a lot more negativity, probably would have been if we went behind etc, but am glad there wasn’t personally. Mad to think Sessegnon has about 5 years before he could even start to think about reaching his potential..

Good day out. Athmosphere was great especially second half. Was quite surprised how positive the atmosphere was in general actually. Think we were just happy to be winning! We were the only side who looked like scoring, missed two absolute sitters with Gabbiadini and Stephens, Hoijberg probably should’ve scored too. Don’t think McCarthy even had a save to make. I really felt like the fans were desperate (as always) for that elusive second goal to kill the game off. What bugged me was that for the last 20 mins, we just let them have the ball and dominate position. I know they did nothing with it but still so infuriating to watch. Same game plan, get ahead and sit on it, which worked today as Fulham didn’t have the quality. Not so good against prem sides, hense why we never win games. Liked the way Fulham tried to play, and sessegnon is a real talent.

On the plus side, it’ll be a good day out regardless, never been to Craven Cottage before but heard it’s a good away day. Still want us to win as it may give us the smallest bit of confidence. That said, if we lost and it gets MP the boot then it wouldn’t be a terrible outcome..
-
The sheer predictability of every game is sickening now. At half time I said they’ll equalise on around 65 mins and go on to win. There is not one aspect of MPs reign that would even offer a slight bit of hope to turn it around. 3 points from 27. 1 win in 12. 4 wins in 22. It’s all absolutely, 100% not good enough. The board have to act. There’s no excuses at all.

God, what an absolutely miserable season this has been. So incredibly unenjoyable.

Not saying it was bad, don’t get me wrong. Didn’t mean the atmosphere as a whole, just a feeling about the fans that’s all.

On train home, with all trains being cancelled from West Brompton and having to go the long way round, didn’t help with today.. worrying atmosphere in the away end imo. Very flat, and kind of accepting of our rubbishness before, during and after the game. Didnt deserve anything out of the game. We tried, no doubting it, we just weren’t anywhere near good enough. We’re well set up defensively, and are terrific passing it around our 5 defenders, but once last the halfway line, or anywhere near Redmond, that’s about as far as it goes. Very ponderous, very slow, no real ideas and back we go. Losing away at Chelsea is not something to get in a huff about, but we aren’t showing anything and I’m still not sure what MP is trying to do. We’re not being spoken about yet by the media as dropping into the mix, but think our time will be up on that very shortly now.

Haven't celebrated a goal like that in a long, long time. Went ballistic.

Hope to see a full strength team and a good performance. Would be a real shame to not see the ground filled. Got my tickets today and really looking forward to something a bit different.

Totally the same. Never get too carried away with the 'meltdowns' and never considered myself a bed wetter but so much of the original post and those following is is pretty much how I've been feeling. i question myself a bit because this should be a really exciting stage, but it's just.. not. Start of the summer we were at probably our most marketable and appealing position we have been in for decades. I thought this is the perfect time to push on but it doesn't feel like we've done that at all. We're very solid and do the right things, it just ultimately means nothing when other clubs can splash hundreds of millions and it not even make a dent. The focus on the big clubs is bigger than ever and I find it unbearable. It puts me off watching matches. 'Big' players are talked about constantly even if they're doing incredibly averagely. Big decisions get brushed aside when against clubs like us whereas discussed all weekend for the bigger clubs. It it was very predictable this summer, all too much so when I kind of hoped for more. I can't get much excitement for the Prem this season and it seems to be going the way most of us think already. Well be mid table and the big clubs will stroll it. That said, I am excited for our European campaign and really hope we give that a proper crack as it's something a bit different.
