Southampton play a sideways possession game without goals at either end, players are not moving into basic positions to go forward and we are playing a game so slow that the other team can easily bully us off the ball. Southampton seem to be playing without direction or tactics. They worry for our survival under MP.

If my memory serves me correct then these contract extensions VvD, FF and JWP were signed at the start of May. Therefore at that time Martinez was still Evertons Manager and Ronald K was still Southamptons and making noises about extending his contract during the summer. So not even scratching the sand here but did he insist that he wanted those three to get extended contracts to keep the club in with his expectations that he didn't want those sold in the summer? Just a thought, as not a conspiracy theorist.
