Saints v Anderlecht Eoropean Cup winners cup 1976
fareham saint phil replied to CLOTH EARS's topic in The Saints
Spoke to big Jim (eyes are blue, 6ft 2, big Jim Steele is after youuuu) a few years ago and he remembered the mistake and he said it was his biggest regret in a Saints shirt that he tried to play "football" instead of putting his foot through it. I would have agreed with him but he was still scary -
Cant get more A list than her Maj can you, I remember she was so impressed with us that she said "One is not going to another football match, as one would like to keep the memory of ones favorite team fresh in one memory"

Hated the song just for being a ****e song, then when it was hijacked by the fishy few I hated it more, now that it was wrestled back from them, I still hate it So no change really

Im sure seeing the 200+ smurfs gave everyone a good laugh, football fans at their funniest best

Made me smile even more on a day i havent stopped smiling

Classic one word answer, I couldnt care less about NA's interviews he is paid to manage our team and get results, hes doing that so how he comes across in interviews means nothing, watch ferguson or wenger they talk much more ****e but the press hang on their every word Anyhow i love being on the Saints bus
-
just rang the ticket office and at 9;03 was told that the game was "completely sold out"
-
Still think there are twists and turns left yet, I still think we will be champions
-
Very very well said
-
these ****ing reporters think they have the right to do and say whatever they like and seem to think they are important and that people hang on their every word, i couldnt give a **** if they banned the lot of them, they are so one sided in their reporting and they love to stir and fan the flames.

Respect to Billy Sharp for the courage he has shown, sad to read, makes you realise how lucky you are to have healthy kids
-
Just back from the ticket office to get my doncaster tickets and these are very limited availability, having to sit behind my lad. So it will be sell outs for the remaining home games i think, which is always good news

"Typical Saints" will probably mess it up after all

The way i see it now is that pre Marcus Saints probably would have ****ed it up, sure us older supporters can think of plenty of games against "easy" teams that we should have steamroller them but somehow managed to screw it up big time. BUT since the Marcus rescue I have seen a different Saints and a winning mentality and a never say die (Millwall very fresh in the mind) Some people laugh at all the atkinisums but his positive attitude and positive thinking seems to have rubbed off on the team. -
My late grandad believed the same, and although he stayed a Saints supporter for life he refused to go again, he was very bitter towards the board. Me, like others think last nights combination of scores has made it ours to lose big time, cant see NA letting us **** it up to be honest

Now that was funny actually laughed out loud

Must have seen 50+ japanese at the burnley game alone, dont think they were there to see anyone else! They were all have their pictures taken with Saints scarf etc so must have made a fair bit of yen that day so marketing is a hit and the japanese market is one of the most lucrative in the world so only good things can come from it.

I have tried for years to forget that tw*t and you go bring him up, cheers for that markyboy lol and not wishing to be called racist but Uriah Rennie started as a decent ref but then believed his own press and ended up a knobber

Thought it was an excellent game, apart from 15 mins start of 2nd half, for having such a "potent" forward line, burnley were very poor but i like to think that the return Jos and Jose combination was as good as ive seen this season. Cork was superb and the best midfielder on view, Lallana is just pure class as well, he makes beating 3 players so easy. Lambert was amazing as well and what must defenses think when they see him and Billy Sharp on the team sheet, as for Billy his chest control is amazing and his runs into space are fantastic to watch. Didnt think that was his goal, although not complaining certainly looked like an own goal. A really happy bunny today as they certainly looked back to their best

Still got the full game on video, just haven't got a video player to play it on. Hoddle!!! set him up to fail, he didn't and he still blanked him, what a ****
-
Those were exciting times to be fair, we certainly did score a good few, but yes we did ship a few too.
-
Just heard on Sky that the Collins deal is back on as "offence" he made to Saints was a misunderstanding, What was this offence? and that we had contacted his agent this morning but as of 10 mins ago he was still in stoke

Ninja!!!!!!!!!!!

Whatever has happened they will, as before, get out of it. I dont like any club getting into trouble as we all know what its like, but come on how many times do they turn round and slap the authorities in the face and bury their heads in the sand and the tax man and their creditors get screwed again. There has to come a time when someone somewhere says enoughs enough however i cant see it happening yet

I've seen Saints play **** over the years, but i have never booed them off in my life and certainly wont start now, everyone's choice though
