Have to say every home win is greeted with shock hahaha
-
his touch was amazing, he would do very little and then play a killer ball or a fancy flick, dodgy hair though thought he was elvis
-
I think the comeback v liverpool in the last season at the Dell to make it 3-3, as a comeback that was special. Think most unlikely results should come away from home as our home form, back then, was always amazing. any victory away during the 70's, 80's and 90's was unexpected

good of some to put their numbers down, its the only way i would know!!!
-
We had Saints t-shirts on and the first "oh god a scummer" comment was as we lined up to start (hence Paula was finished and on her way home by then as we done a gentle jog inbetween sharp intakes of breath and cursing last nights curry). In fact there was quite alot of people that when they saw the t-shirts gave us an extra round of applause so i would think there was plenty of saints around, also had chats with a few ports*outh supporters who were in shock re redsnapp going so had a laugh with the ones with a sense of humour
-
yeah like me or saint matty 76 would have caught her!!!!!!!!!!! think she was finished before we were called scummers for the first time
-
anyone that knows him knows full well he was a manure supporter i thought it was more common knowledge but maybe not, have to say thats why i take things he says with a pinch of salt knowing his supporting background
-
Jesus ok hes not perfect, which keeper is, but without him we'd have half the points and deeper in the **** than we are now, Why cant we give credit where its due and be thankful hes playing this way instead of finding faults, if you want to do that look at 10 outfield players first, christ when our keeper is MOTM then theres something wrong

eyes are blue 6ft 2 big Jim Steele is after you, those were the days

Is BWP ever going to be any good?

Thought he was very useful when he came on last night, i wanted him on at half time for McGoldrick -
Nice to read, his save at 1-0 i think was the key to it all that day, good keeper deserves a warm welcome........... then concede 3

How a player like heskey could have more caps than MLT is one of the most baffling things in the world, but you could add loads to that list sadly, charlton palmer, the neville bros the list goes on and on an on Back to the original point, on here "hesaid/she said" threads always end up like this, our relegation season i spoke to brett ormarod at lenght about the last game and he said a few anti redsnap and lowe things i was called every name under the sun, liar being the nicest, i think they are worth hearing and why personnel insults are hurled is beyond me
-
The only problem is in one paper i bet you will have redcrap telling everyone how he "discovered" him and gave him hie dedut, sidestepping the fact he'd been here before he ever set foot in southampton. And hindsight is an extact science

got mine today and they are cool, the bloke said they are a best seller, Fareham will never be the same again

You forget some of the excellent saves he made for us, thats just how good he was, in a sense you took him for granted, you just knew how good he was. As good a keeper for us as Shilton although when he joined us Shilts shipped goals for the first few games, Antti never did he was always fantastic, i dont remember any mistakes he made off hand. But mostly i will remember him as someone who gave his time willingly to fans and charities, ask anyone at southampton general kids ward even after he left us, that says it all for me Top man, top keeper, welcome anytime at St Marys All the best Antti

Fantastic thread, the Dell holds so many great memories for lots of people, for being one of the worst/oldest grounds in the country you just had to love the place. Memories of it could go on from now to kick-off 1) First match v Everton in 68, just be amazed by the crowd, i was hooked there and then 2) Last match v Brighton knowing we would never see the place again and just soaking it in one last time 3) MLT Could be a thread all to himself, so many great memories 4) Being able to hear everything said by the players, and telling the kids not to repeat such bad language!! 5) Night games, no other ground has ever come close to the atmosphere 6) getting autographs down in the corner 7) the slow version of OWTS sung by Louis Armstrong???? Pre and half time entertainment 9) Batman and Robin (villa fans in fancy dress) invading to pitch when they scored, before MLT inspired Saints put 4 past them 10) Just it being the Dell

this is fantastic news and certainly hope that the crowd noise helps Sophie, I hope that the club make a point of mentioning her either in the programme or on the tannoy making everyone aware that she is there, and it makes you feel that in some small way you can help. Good that the club are being so helpful

A few years ago i bumped into him going into a bookies in highlands rd fareham, near where he lived wearing flip flops, shorts and t-shirt (think he must have lost his good clothes in there), got talking to him and he was a decent enough bloke and he swears he dislikes Saints as much as the average Saints fan dislikes ports*outh, cant say farer than that. He did at least come out and thank us at his first testimonial, ok no ports*outh fans were present at the time, but its the thought that counts
