  1. Only one picture now thats shocking i expected more from you all;
  2. We need someone in as soon as possible, for them to assess what we have and what we need, the season is under 4 weeks away so oldknow needs to get his finger out and get a move on, we are starting at a disadvantage with -10 points we dont need any more
  3. We should use the -10 as a kick up the arse and a "us against the world" as leeds did a couple of years ago. Having a keeper like KD in goal will inspire confidence more than BB or TF would, i for one am happier now he is staying hes worth more than 10 points in the championship so in league 1 it will be more
  4. Yeah know what you mean we are surrounded by them and at times its been like the indians circling the wagons, but now things will start to go our way and our fishy friends will have less to shout about, my sons team plays in the port*mouth local league and i know how warmly they greet a saints shirt over there!!
  5. thank **** for that, get in there
  6. Saw him on SSN yesterday and he used we a couple of times and had to correct himself, gair play to him it was oblivious he still has affection for the club and hates the current position. Once a Saint always a Saint
  7. We'll walk this league
  8. Hes getting grief off me not for anything other than taking delight in our current position, the stance of "you've got to laugh" is one i dont share as i see nothing to laugh about with the club ive watched for over 45 years about to disappear. I did look hard at what he said above and dont find anything of anything other than taking the **** so im happy to stand by my comment of guided missile your a ****ing knob
  9. His passion for Saints is clear for all to see thats why there is no blame attached to him, cant think of a better figurehead for a chairman
  10. If Adams hadn't taken over at Port Vale i think with his MLT friendship (remember MLT was ****ed off he didn't stand a chance of getting the job in the split second between JP and wotte) he would have been a good shout. Still big mates with Dowie but i think he will be waiting to be part of Shearers staff at newcastle so i think he wont come. Keegan yes the feel good factor Tisdale young and ambitious, would be good but dont think it will happen Ince, Curbishley or Boothroyd maybe So to sum up i haven't got a ****ing clue, just be nice to be in a position to be offering someone a job!!
  11. When he stood up saying "Im the money man" he must have known the press would be looking into him, certainly the local southampton press. I dont know what to make of him the good feeling i had a couple of weeks ago has gone without a trace Its amazing what has happened to our club in a short space of time
  12. Thanks to TL again for the update, its the not knowing anything that is the worst. I like the open and frank side of them and if/when they sign it will be nice being treated as human beings not just a ticket price as before
  13. Oh and the money man would be familar to "some" depends on what walk of life you are from, and once its all signed he will be revealed
  14. Also deposit was more than 500.000 and wouldn't have been paid if there was any chance of losing it, very confident that it would go ahead, they are in the driving seat not bothered about the reappearance of swiss or jackson
  15. The FL in their statement made their position very clear, so it is strange that TL says they are working to find an agreement with them. How anyone can be denied a right to appeal is beyond me and for that the FL are too blame. I am now getting tired of all of this too-ing and fro-ing and just want it sorted, where i appreciate the up-dates (it is so refreshing that the fans are actually thought of for a change) they do tend to give us hope only to see it taken away. I cant wait until the ink is dry on the takeover papers, whenever that will be, cant see the FL hurrying themselves can you?
  16. Thanks for the update as all we have to go on is the doom and possible gloom sky reporter, these updates are appreciated but somehow make me more nervous!! ie critical in a timely manner, the FL cant do that without losing face thats my worry
  17. All of those (and a few others around them) were fantastic to see and isn't nice to have the club we all love so fondly spoken about by some of the greats in football. Classic
  18. yeah mine too. mine was the last thankfully read out by the blonde bit of stuff with the "bring it on" at the end, simple things and all
  19. just coming to 11am here it comes now, first time ive seen it
  20. Love these sorts of threads great memories!! Remember Ruddock (again!!) getting a standing ovation when sent off for a foul (putting it mildly) on Rod Wallace v Leeds at the Dell
  21. the only thing the club have ever received from them was a 6x4 sign O'neal picture a few years ago. They are well know even by their own fans to be tightarsed when it comes to that sort of community thing. We've had ex skates before, Lee Bradbury lives in Fareham and was a fantastic bloke and 2 very old timers Ray Crawford and Keith Blackburn this year and they all gave their time and effort free of charge. When we request current players we are met with the "other commit" line
  22. I have alot of involvement in a local youth club in Fareham and we try, because the vast majority are skates, to get a ports*outh player each year, we never get an answer and when we ask both clubs for raffle prizes, Saints always send us something (signed ball and shirts) the skates sent us a letter saying if we brought the shirts they would try to get them signed.. how charming is that. This has always been the case over the last 6 years, they may be in the premier but Saints are way above in class and how they treat local clubs.
  23. Storrie getting found out to be a lying scumbag, oh this day starts well
  24. You just have to remember the arsenal fans at cardiff, they seemed bored to be at "another" cup final, while we had a fantastic day and showed the spirit of the cup final was still alive and kicking. Plastic fans can be spotted straight away as when they tell you who they support they follow it up with "but i've supported them for years" or they tell you what a fantastic stadium they have much better than ours not that they've been just seen it on sky. rather support my team in any league than be a sellout to the big (or as someone put it Sky) 4
