  1. Remind me who plays on the left side of our cbs (in a zonal system)? Wasn't Stephens man in the first place - not saying he was faultless, but vest deserves more of the blame.
  2. Stephens?? Vestergaard was the one who drifted out of position and slipped over...
  3. 100% agree - worth also remembering he's also got a pretty patchy injury record too. I can't believe there is anything in this one (apart from some lazy journalism)
  4. He seems to incite blind hatred in a number of our fanbase - I'm not sure a logical argument will help
  5. He's a ghost.... So much so he sneaks in at the far post
  6. Vestergaard at fault for both goals - perhaps it is time to look to the future and give salisu a run of games with bednarek. It's clear that we desperately need someone who's a bit more prolific up front, someone who drives midfield if romeu isnt playing and some full back cover - although Stephens had a decent enough game today. A better performance and if we play like that against palace we should get some points. Hopefully the summer will bring some improvement, but I'm not particularly hopeful for next season.
  7. But today he's played pretty well so far... Giving someone pelters for playing badly in a different game is a bit bizarre...
  8. I'm not sure why Redmond is getting so much stick? He's been central to most of our play going forward. Not seen anything from Walcott at all - IMO he's the one who should be under scrutiny. Unfortunately Stephens is looking like a centre back playing left back and vestergaard is still an accident waiting to happen. Otherwise we've not been too bad so far. Controlled most of the possession and shouldn't really be losing.
  9. 3 points to the dippers then. FFS
  10. Not suited to the way we play at all. Get rid. Could do a job for a different team in the premier League IMO just needs less positional and defensive responsibilities.
  11. Great character from the players and well managed from hassenhutl. That could have been a shitfest and despite an atrocious performance from the officials a thoroughly deserved point. Perhaps we a better against the ball than with it???
  12. Another horrendous dive
  13. Why don't referees penalise diving. Either Redmond has turned into a triple hard bastard or Leicester defenders are a bunch of wet fannies just like their midfield and strikers. Absolutely pathetic the way they continually go to ground
  14. I think duckie has a point. How many times do we have to make the same mistakes and not change anything? Football is a game of fine margins and it isn't as simple as being all about having the best squad at your disposal and we had a system that with very fit players enabled us to beat stronger sides. With less fit players that system has dramatically crumbled and has proven that it doesn't work. At One point Ralph recognised this and did something different (against Chelsea - letting them have the ball and stopping them from playing and we got a point). Unfortunately ever since he's gone back to the gung ho high energy stuff that clearly doesn't work if anyone is knackered. Something needs to change - either Ralph needs to wake up or he needs to go.
  15. The right thing to do would be to leave out those who can't be arsed because they're going to leave and to give game time to those who will be here next season - even if it means us not picking up another point. I'm fully expecting more of the same though and to be honest I'm not sure I can watch those same players go through the motions again.
  16. Well that was shite, but from both teams. Leicester didn't create much either and spawned a goal. Difference between the teams today is that we gave the ball away in some quite ridiculous positions - trouble is we've been doing that since the autumn, but slowly getting worse.
  17. COYS!!! I hope we make a confident start.
  18. Our biggest problem imo is our complete inability to defend - we've gone from being hard to score against to being woefully inept. Bednarek has played shockingly for months now and still keeps his place in the team. vestergaard looks a shadow of his former self and looks like he needs a rest. This combined with Bertrand's form being iffy means we are soft as shit at the back. Yesterday this was exacerbated by JWP and diallo having crap games. I lost count of the number of times we stood off their attacking players and let them come onto us. In contrast their defenders were all over our attacking players and limited our chances. I know he may not have many options, but if Ralph can't see this then he needs to go. Bednarek should have been off the field at half time and yet somehow he played the whole game...
  19. Has the myth that Walcott makes us look a better team now been dispelled... He's been utter dogshit today
  20. Bednarek and vestergaard have been horrific so far. Neither deserve a place in the cup team right now.
  21. On paper there isn't one player of theirs (in their best 11) that I would rather have than the respective player in our team (in our best 11)... There can't be many teams in the premier League who haven't got at least one better player than one of ours. In my mind that makes them pretty shit as we're not exactly brimming with top quality in every position.
  22. Thank goodness for that! Should have had far more than 3
  23. No football brain whatsoever...
  24. Not sure what Walcott and Ings have done to justify starting this one... Walcott again making poor decisions and Ings looking half hearted and playing for himself again.
  25. Clear and obvious error.... I think not
