  1. I believe Sheffield Wednesday were also having the worst start in Championship history before Rohl came in last year. He's doing a brilliant job there to have kept them up and now have them in play-off contention. It's also quite a nice feeling to be after a manager where the fans of the club are desperate for him to stay. There is not a perfect appointment available to a club with a record-low points total approaching January. I'm very happy for us to bring somebody in who is young and has experience of the Championship, who has the 0.1% chance of keeping us up if we hit a crazy bit of form. I wouldn't be devastated if we gave Corberan a shot either. However, if SSN are saying (not that they're too reliable these days) that £2m is being considered too steep for Corberan, let alone Rohl, then it looks like it's probably going to be Hjumland to avoid paying any extra. Absolutely no clue what to make of that appointment other than pure speculation.
  2. Now that he’s gone I’m sure I’ll slowly fade back into remembering him pretty fondly. I always wanted to support him as I believe he’s a good bloke, and the task of picking the club off the floor last season was understated quite often amongst the fanbase. He seems to be a brilliant man-manager but he’s left a lot to be desired tactically. Maybe it’ll work with a better squad and maybe he’ll get the chance at somewhere like Brighton due to that. West Brom at home and Wembley last year were as good of memories as I’ve had supporting the club. There’s no hiding from the nonsense of this season, but we were also a couple of shocking decisions away from him still being in the job. No bitterness from me towards him at all.
  3. One of the most toothless performances I've ever seen Didn't feel like we were going to score once all game
  4. The underutilisation of Amo-Ameyaw is still one of the more baffling things to me. He looks more dangerous than most of the players starting every week
  5. Archer is so shit man, just another Armstrong
  6. Not sure what I did in a previous life to deserve to watch this Armstrong Archer partnership each week
  7. This fucking idiot should never play for us again
  8. I’m almost at the point of hoping it’s a battering so the board maybe are forced into getting rid We have some good players and there’s lots of other shit in this league, we’d at least go from a 0% to 5% chance if we make a change and stop playing into everyones hands
  9. I’m so bored of this now, get this guy sacked
  10. KWP and Fernandes the only two of Premier League quality, rest is a decent Championship side
  11. That could easily go down as the worst team ever put out in the Premier League
  12. Charles seems to be doing a good job at Sheffield Wednesday so he'd be an adequate back-up/rotation option in midfield you'd think. I can't imagine we'd need to add at CB with Bednarek, Stephens, Wood and Edwards, with the latter two likely being brought in for this eventuality. Had a few surprising players stick around last time so hopefully we manage to pull that off again in the shape of Fernandes.
  13. Had some recent luck with Livramento and Lavia but it's nice to have an attacking talent of this level, and one of our own products too. The only thing which could stop this being an absolute giant sale is his lack of output numbers-wise, but I think that's a real reflection on the lack of quality around him rather than much else. Everything positive which we do comes from Dibling managing to beat 2/3 players on the break.
  14. Horrible decision, horrible stadium and the most embarrassing set of fans in football. Went 2nd last night and you wouldn’t have known they were there for all but 3 minutes.
  15. Good half from us to be fair I'd get Fraser off for Sugawara/Taylor, and instruct the players to maybe kick the ball long if necessary because we have a 6'8 striker winning most of his duels?
  16. Get Fraser off the pitch for fuck sake, how is this better than Taylor or Manning?
  17. It worked so well when we subbed him on at wing-back against Leicester that we had to give it another go.
  18. 4-3-3 with Fraser at full-back? Having McCarthy, Stephens and Fraser as part of your defence in the Premier League is truly incredible. Nice to see Onuachu get a start, but I'd have sooner seen that against Wolves where we had a semblance of a chance.
  19. Got a Northam spare for this one if everybody is interested/mad!
  20. Obviously not in an ideal world. Just being realistic about the possibility of the financials causing a big problem here.
  21. Are we really in a position where we can pay-off a newly re-signed manager and throw a huge bag at a manager who would still only have a subpar chance of keeping us up?
  22. Pretty much the perfect scenario. However I'm sure Moyes and Potter would have a lot to say about it. Sad reality at this point is anybody would be insane to join us with the run we have coming up and current standing.
  23. Whilst it was a disgraceful decision - sadly all the talk will now be at the disallowed goal and not another toothless performance against more shite opposition
  24. Still no Onuachu, despite the fact this clearly isn't working Fed up of this bloke now, appreciate what he did last year but get him gone in the break and give us something of a chance He will not keep us up
  25. Can't find myself too annoyed about that half outside of the early conceded goal, played well and scored a perfectly fine goal only for VAR nonsense to take place Sadly can't see us creating enough to win the game though. Hope he makes the Onuachu move early because Archer is doing nothing
