Well then, the "surely we've got better than Bazunu" conversations are about to go one way or the other
-
Completely agree, he's a player with potential quality above this league but I just think I'd have given Edozie a shot tonight Weirdly underused in recent times, not for the first spell this season
-
Hmm, surprised Brooks gets the nod again but very happy to see that back four, and what I believe is the strongest midfield

There was a year in the Prem (multiple, probably) where we’d constantly throw away leads so I’d throw a tenner on whenever we were 1 goal up with about 15 to go. Happy to hold on or a few extra quid for the evening Haven’t bothered this year other than my £10 on Alcaraz Championship top goalscorer at 100/1 though which I thought was genius at the time

Yeah if that wasn’t Mara I’d be fuming at that -

There's probably a player in there, but it's not worked out here. Time to cut our losses in the Summer and hope we can get some money off the fact he's still a France U21 international He's looked okay off the bench a few times but never grabbed an opportunity from the start. The last couple of sub appearances have been shambolic and the biggest indictment is that I saw he was suspended for 3 games and legitimately believed it to be a good thing Hope he succeeds back in France, but this season should be it for him in Southampton. Had ample opportunity to break into the team and he still legitimately looks lightyears behind Che Adams in terms of his all-round play -
Bazunu KWP - Bednarek - THB - Manning Stu - Downes - Rothwell Arma - Che - Edozie Unlucky for Bree to miss out as I don’t think he’s done much wrong, but a bit of rotation surely required at this point. Aribo and Smallbone looked dead on their feet on Saturday so may be a chance for Rothwell, even though he’s never impressed me from the start. Could be any of Edozie, Sulemana or Fraser, but I’d lean Edozie as he’s completely fresh, had more output then Sulemana and didn’t give the lino the opportunity to flag offside like Ryan did on Sat

Another year of Kingfisher for fuck sake
-
Today’s result probably did it for them, and hopefully they feel that Big game, didn’t think we’d be having any more of those before the play-offs
-
Absolutely insane, can only assume he expected Arma to run on a bit before crossing it but that is quite something Just glad it doesn’t matter
-
Buzzing we won but fucking hell, was Fraser off? Needs a weeks wages docked if so
-
Felt it at the time too, hardly be a surprise
-
Don’t win today after those two results and these lot don’t deserve anything
-
Would’ve taken Stephens and Brooks out but oh well, fingers crossed
-
Leicester will win 3-1, nothing to see here

Yeah, pretty much word for word agree with you here. It's funny how back in the Summer there were a large amount of people on here who seemed to think we'd do well to make the play-offs with the mess we were in. Fast forward to doing that with ease, whilst also looking like we'll put up a number which would've achieved automatic promotion in almost any other season, yet he should be sacked? It's actually a 50/50 on the thread below of people thinking we'll either be mid-table or promoted. Martin has plenty of flaws, and I'm of the belief that the season will be a failure if we don't go up in the play-offs. However, I think there's been enough to warrant him getting another go at it next year, in a hopefully less historically strong league. We'll still have a strong group of players, which combined with a solid utilisation of the 5 PL loans (we'll still be one of the most desirable moves), I'd fancy us to start the season as one of the favourites. If we do go up this year, you'd be a fool not to worry based on how our style would match up to the PL, but let's cross that bridge when we hopefully get to it.

Glad I didn't bother with that one!

https://twitter.com/JPercyTelegraph/status/1775206928324477328?t=tyqRq-KMkA2t9ZzCfL7_6g&s=19 They are truly fucked. Worse financials than Everton/Forest
-
Yeah I said this before seeing his starting position, which is definitely questionable However, I still maintain it was probably the toughest save of the three

Is this assuming we don't go back up? We'll immediately lose KWP, THB, Bednarek, Downes, S. Armstrong and Che at the very least I'd imagine. First thing to do would be to get on the phone to City and West Ham to see if we can get either of the two loanees back, immediately. I can't imagine THB coming back but I have a slight hope for Downes, whether on loan or us scraping together £10m~ on a perm. Looking at the list below, it really looks essential for us to keep hold of Bednarek. GK: Max O'Leary (Bristol City)/Viktor Johansson (Rotherham), Gavin Bazunu, Joe Lumley RB: ?, James Bree CB: Jack Stephens, ? CB: ?, ? LB: Ryan Manning, Juan Larios DM: Flynn Downes (West Ham), Shea Charles CM: Joe Aribo, Will Smallbone CM: Callum O'Hare (Coventry), ? RW: Adam Armstrong, Sam Amo-Ameyaw, Tyler Dibling ST: Ross Stewart, Sekou Mara, Dom Ballard LW: Ryan Fraser, Sam Edozie A lot of work that'd need done, particularly in the defence/midfield. I can't see any of the players currently loaned out returning. Sulemana probably get added to the loaned out list. Half of the job in this league is the best utilisation of your 5 loans, it seems. Regardless, just wasted 10 minutes of work time because we'll be winning the play-offs anyway.

It's bafflingly bad, never seen anything quite like it The biggest worry is that SR, a data-driven business, are obviously seeing these numbers but choosing to ignore them in order to try and maintain some value of the asset they've clearly failed with I agree with Whitey's comment above btw, the most baffling thing about it was that he held the ball for 30 seconds before eventually lumping it long? Were we happy with the draw or not? Did us no favours regardless
-
Leeds win at the death Honestly probably good news now, feels backwards to say given the result but I'd want that Ipswich team if we somehow managed to make the playoff final Keep Hull away too, battered us
-
Feel like that has to be a mistranslation because that was the only goal I wouldn't blame him for
-
I don't disagree, but football matches aren't 60 minutes long and this happens to us way too often
-
He was the worst in Premier League history within this stat last season too Was met with a bunch of idiotic “stats 😂“ comments on here, as if you don’t come to the same conclusion that he’s fucking useless when using your eyes People legitimately believe these numbers are made up from nowhere because they’re too stupid to understand
