  1. Huddersfield have announced that those season ticket holders who've had their seat for the last 9 seasons get next years season ticket for £100. Renewals at £199 for the rest. Fair play to them and their chairman.

Yeah it is.... another bore fest with uninspired tactics.
  3. Pretty predictable once again and that score line wasn't a suprise. Stoke were poor and I've absolutely no idea why we persisted with one up top, I'd have gone to a mid field 4 and put gabby on with Austin upfront. Stoke were never going to dominate the ball so couldn't see why we didn't try it. No risk as we still had a sub left. puel does need to go along with black as it's simply not working and the club will need a lift going into next season as without change I really can't see any improvement. Start the process now and give someone an opportunity to have a decent pre season.
  4. i know a fair few that are not renewing. Style of football has bored them to death. Very disappointed to not get an early bird discount and that's a bit of a **** take for loyal fans. Club go on about how they have frozen ticket prices but gate revenue is pretty small fry anyway so absolutely no reason to increase ticket prices. I've never known of the club cold calling fans before, that's a pretty sad state of affairs but seeing the non existent atmosphere at many of the home matches then it's hardly surprising. I've renewed but for the first time in many years seriously questioned it.
  5. Football is played over 90 mins and in the first 45 we didn't show up, we didn't press and didn't get the crowd going. Atmosphere was shocking again and it has been for the majority of the season. Didn't you notice how we dropped off after taking gabby off? Every time we make subs we totally lose the flow of the game and that's poor work on the training pitch. Agree boufal could be quality but puel plays him out of position, continually pulls him in and out the team. Anyway league position flatters due to some very poor teams in the league this year. Puel has tried but I can't stomach another season of crab football.
  6. Against the worst man united team to play here in the premier league.

Absolutely no excuse whatsoever as the club didn't failed to invest significantly over the summer and it was blatantly obvious to all that we were a striker light. Europe was a disaster due to puels inability to effectively motivate the team to beat some pretty average opposition. Going out in the group stage was inexcusable and a kick in the teach fir every supporter who spend thousands traveling to watch.
  8. With about 10 mins to go and 1-0 down we bring everyone back to defend a corner. Just don't get that whatsoever. We make scattergun substitutions under puel. Under previous managers substitutions were made with just cause, just feel now we make for the sake of it. It looks like we lose all cohesion after the subs come on and that surely be down to lack of planning on the training ground

    Les Reed

Believes his own hype to much to admit he got it wrong with the puel choice. Certainly wasn't our first choice just simply due to the time it took to appoint him. If puel stays and we have another season playing the football we are playing right now then reed needs to go!
  10. I have a sneaky feeling that puel may go by mutual consent this week. The atmosphere again was pretty dire around the ground and surely the board must be seeing this. Tonight's performance was huff and puff and that was it, just nothing to get the fans going and you could see the frustration building in the players. After the first goal heads were down and nobody was trying to get the players up for it, not even from the bench. Why would any decent player want to stay and settle for another season of this? Puel needs to go now and black also.

    Yeah we lost....
  12. It's not all about the league position it's more to with the style of football we are playing compared to what we have been used to over the last few years. We are a team with lots of decent attacking players but our style doesn't support the quality we have. That's the problem here. Cup final all well and good but we lost and I'll never watch it back, like I didn't the 2003 final. We lost so it means absolutely nothing and I bet the players medals are in the back of a drawer. With puel I just see that winning mentality unfortunately and we're stuck with him as les will never ever admit he's made a mistake.

Recent downturn that's lasted the majority of the season. We are lucky that there has been some poor teams in the league this year otherwise we'd be right in the relegation scrap. Can anyone actually say they've been inspired by the football we've played.

No just want to play some exciting football... obviously you're well happy with the tepid, sideways football we play. Nothing against puel but he's out of his depth, has a poor coach in black by his side and seems like the players can't be arsed. But as I've spent I **** load of cash watching saints I'll say what I want.

We have crawled to the 40 point mark and if there weren't so many poor clubs this season we'd be right in the mire. Bar the cup games we've been bang average at best, football is an entertainment business and this hasn't been entertaining whatsoever. Uninspiring manager with uninspiring tactics. all the happy clappers must be racing to get their season tickets renewed for next season.

Totally agree with this. The happy clappers are most likely club employees. Bar the West Ham away game I can hardly recall a league game where we've played that well.
  17. i for the life of me cannot see what puel has brought to this team, another turgid, tentative, players all over the place positionally performance. I really don't know if I can put my myself through another season of this.. The substitutions didn't make any sense whatsoever and taking off your most clinical finisher and replacing with a striker who's having a mare. Why not push a striker alongside gabiadini which have given gabiadini more space. Also why are we persisting with tradic... taking pens. That comes down to the manager in my eyes. We have limped towards safety this season and there are some really poor teams in the division. Hopefully new ownership my actually force reeds hand in changing manager. It's the only way he can save face.
  18. Koeman managed to seem to install confidence against the bigger teams last season but this season puel can't. Played ok tonight but defensive shambles let us down. How caceres hasn't got a game is beyond me. I don't rate puel whatsoever and it's been a pretty average season bar the cup run. Could be a really tough summer ahead.
  19. Jesus.... pretty good performance undone yet again by our two centre halves in no mans land. Let's just hope les reed doesn't think this is the central defensive partnership for next season. Costa is a diving ****.. should have been booked for that. Need to start mixing it up a bit as costa always on the edge of being sent off
  20. Yoshida daydreaming Stephens ball watching
  21. once again another weak performance against a top 6 side this season and I have no idea what puel is up to in terms of tactics. His negative tactics against decent teams in the League have achieved very little and again it showed again. I personally hope puel isn't there next season as this seasons been pretty dire to watch. If any saints fan can actually say they've enjoyed this brand of football they must be delusional. I think that there's some unrest in that dressing room too. I know there is a gulf between city and us but we didn't even try and get close to them today and once again the substitutions we made just didn't work. I can take losing but we didn't turn up at all today.
  22. weve been exceptionally poor in a majority of games this season... we are getting sucked in due to having a poor manager, poor transfer policy and a board who instead of pushing on from last season stood still.
  23. Benteke will murder us if we allow them space to get crosses in. Not sure Stephens is that great in the air. Play like we did against Bournemouth then we are in trouble. Palace are in good form right now. We've gone back to our slow and ponderous football.

Come tomorrow night we could be very much in a relegation scrap.
  25. Basically said we won't be spending any money. So player sales will be the only way we invest in new players. He only appears when there is a bit of a feel good factor. Not a peep during our poor run.
