Proof he stitched us up? Or is it just speculation? I heard enough at the time to satisfy me that he did nowt wrong.
-
Ha!!! Footballer gives the best years of his career to us, sticks with us when relegated, doesn't get the move he's promised, but he's the bad guy cos Les told you he was. Fans have been taken in by the bs on this. Cracking player. Glad he's back. Glad it's annoyed you.
-
It depends on how you view it. I think some of our league 1 signings were massive statements that we were there to be the best, get promoted, then be the best. Regardless, he's a proper statement signing for where we are now.
-
I'm genuinely surprised if he doesn't recognise that playing a season at that level will do him the world of good.
-
Absolutely massive signing. Great work from the club. Another centre forward (a good one), keep hold of KWP, add a decent winger, and this will be a 12 out of 10 window.
-
I'm not saying whether he's PL ready now or that he will be. I'm simply saying that he's better than Larios now imo, and shows more promise. Larios ain't the answer now or ever imo.
-
Yep. We could (in theory) announce him when the line ups are announced. The key thing is registering him in time.
-
Yep. He's got so much more promise than Larios. Wrong kid being moved on imo.
-
Good post. And couldn't Goztepe give us a massive loan fee to help with FFP?
-
He covers LWB. If KWP goes, Taylor is your LB/LWB and Manning your reserve. Cornet gives cover at LWB in the same way the wee man did. KWP is replaced at RB/RWB with Bree the reserve.

The media get used when it helps the club or a player. If we're trying to sneak a deal through without another club potentially hijacking it, why on earth would be publicise that we're trying to do that deal?!
-
Most transfer enquiries happen under the radar. Just because it ain't on X doesn't mean it's not happening, and often when it's on X, it definitely ain't happening!
-
No idea mate, but Cornet feels like a LWB cover option to me, and we'd only need that it KWP was going. I agree your point though - like JWP last year, KWP can't have many suitors who'd play him as a starter. I think he's better anything Villa have, even when the injured Cash is fit.
-
I think we'll see Cornet and Ramsdale in, and possibly Fraser or another versatile winger. I'd hate to see SAA go on loan as I think Edozie needs to go and develop somewhere, but I think one may get sent out on loan if we get Cornet and another. Hopefully Edozie. I have a feeling KWP will go as well, and if he does, that may lead to curveball attacker coming in with the cash. ABK probably to go on loan to some Dutch, Belgian or French team also.
-
He's injured. Can't see him going anywhere.
-
Cornet coming may mean KWP is actually going, and we needed Cornet as a wide attacker, and additional cover for Taylor as the first choice.

At one point yes, but we haven't got a Tory government so it's academic. Pubs, restaurants and clubs were hit hard by the smoking ban, then COVID. Taking away the ability of punters to have a fag in the garden or out the front will spell the death of many of those businesses. I hate smoking, but let me choose whether I want to sit in a garden where people are smoking.

I genuinely love your enthusiasm Dave, I don't think I've ever read a negative post from you.
-
Yep. BBD doesn't look like a winger to me. Archer or BBD to play through the middle, with AA as an absolute emergency isn't as bad as some people seem to think imo. Personally I'd keep the big fella and use him as required, but RM ain't going to do that.
-
Yep, nanny state going way too far.
