I've never labelled anyone on here a narcissist, and wouldn't.
-
We could be next season. Souness ain't the answer for us though. The wrong man, yep, unqualified, no.
-
His posts are designed to get a reaction of some sort - that's one purpose of SM and forums. He gets that. If people think that taking the piss in response adds anything positive to the forum that's a matter for them, but it doesn't.
-
I wouldn't want him here personally, but it's pretty obvious that a a 71 year old who has played and managed at the top level, and has stayed close to the game in the media, is qualified to be involved.
-
You've described the bait taking process in action.
-
That's your interpretation, but other people don't use it in that way. I don't currently have anyone on ignore, but if a poster is irritating me, I've used it a couple of times to avoid being faced with loads of annoying posts from them. If I chose to look, there's nowt wrong with that. Multiple threads are being dominated by the same old predictable responses to a predictably dull / attention seeking post from SoG. He can't argue on his own, but he'll carry on if people keep taking his bait.
-
This has been done to death mate. People put people on ignore so that they don't have to be bored by the stuff they post, but can take a look if they want to. On the wider Point of SoG. He is irritating AF, but many threads are ruined by people reacting to him and making the thread about him rather than the subject. It's become more irritating than SoG tbh.

Thanks. They're a proper mixed bag. You've then got the factions in other parts of the country, and the Kurds. I can foresee all sorts of jockeying for power and policies, and a very long journey to stability.
-
£70k @ week in for him and about £20k a week in total for his staff (they'll need paying up as well) gets us to that. Would be that stupid?
-
I agree with that, and given that the game is up this season, I'd be happy with a caretaker until the right man is found. I'd also like to see no money wasted in the window - let the new bloke rebuild over the summer.
-
One thing's for sure, our pool of options gets smaller the longer we faff about. I'm in little doubt that wolves or west ham will be in for a manager within the next few days.
-
Blimey. So Hamas liking rebels taking Damascus, Turkish supported and former al qaeda rebels taking other towns and cities, and Turkey supporting attacks on Kurds in other parts of Syria. What a mess.
-
As in the group supported by the west inc the UK, but also former long term allies of Hamas?
-
I think anyone with a modicum of tactical and management ability would get them to stop doing things they can't do, get them fitter, stop blowing undeserved smoke up their arses, get them pressing effectively, get them moving as well as passing, get them making effective runs, etc, etc. We can do better. RM can't. Someone else can.
-
Sure, there open reporting of it, but the point is that there's celebration of a successful uprising by people deemed terrorists, and likely supported / armed by Turkey. This feels like a civil war that's far from over.
-
I've met your missus. Nice lad.
-
I'm not convinced, but he ain't Sibley. I'm more interested in this Mboto character - clearly an alt username for another poster.
-
It started on 1st December. I've got an advent calendar, and don't need a Nic/SoG one.

I disagree. All this "we can't sack him until we have someone better ready to go" is nonsense. Nobody says that in any other walk of life. If a leader in industry is consistently failing and/or alienating the customers they'd be gone regardless of who's available to take over. If your missus is making you unhappy, you won't cling on until you've lined up a replacement. I just don't get why people think that it should be different in football. He wasn't good enough last season. He was never going to be good enough this season. He has failed. Get him gone now. Bournemouth and Brighton have shown that good managers can be sourced. The right man is out there, and let's face it, Lallana couldn't do any worse as a caretaker - we're down and out.
-
Yep. The Syria proxy war has always been a weird one. The opposition have historically been supplied by Turkey, despite parts of it having roots in al-qaeda, and described as terrorists and is now is a right mixed bag. They've managed to get themselves enough arms, and I'd guess encouragement and assistance behind the scenes from somewhere, to chance their arm. Interesting times.
-
Yep, but I'm not sure what else he could have done. Aribo arguably could have played alongside Downes, but in a 541 (or whatever it's supposed to be) that means Fernandes wide left where he's wasted.
-
That's pretty much the best team he could have put out. Worryingly.
-
Blimey. Horrific. I feel for Dragan, he's been properly tucked up by people he's put his trust in.
