Come on own up, your not really how your coming over..... its just an act you do for attention. Bloody good result, winning and not playing well.. good sign... no goal against, without the minus 10 would be mid table.. squad is unrecognisable from 6 weeks ago. Like any one but the few negative morons that come on here it was obvious things will take time but in the last 6 weeks i have felt for the first time in years that we are in competent hands and moving forward. Doesnt mean i think we will be promoted this season [but i can hope] and even if we lose next week [but hopefully not] i will still feel the same. If that makes me a happy clappy so be it, id rather be that than one of the few dull idiots that can only pick out whats wrong. Looking forward to one of the likely suspects insults. Very good point eurosaint but as you see from a couple of the responses, you are flogging a dead horse.

In my post earlier responding to the echo article and how i agreed with it as i personally dislike posters that i believe are more inclined to make knee jerk, negative, destructive comments i specifically did not mention names as we all know who they are etc. etc. I would like to stand by my commnent and say directly or indirectly in the politest way that if any one on here really believes that slagging off our manager or any of the new regime that they are in my opinion are morons. Sorry to be strong but these people should be as hard on themselves as they are on all and sundry [although im sure they dont have the wit to look at them selves] Its quite clear from the responses that it really is a minority of people that agree with knocking Pardew etc.

Just absolutely sick and tired of the the half a dozen or so mind bogglingly dull negative [maybe attention seekers for al i know] posters that only ever want to make often totally un informed negative comments. Is there a way i can block these people so when they post i dont have to be polluted with their whining drivel.

i think we are commenting on the article, as it was the subject of this thread. Your point is valid regarding how some managers are hated at one club but held in high regard at another, but until you mentioned it was not the subject being discussed. I and probably most people reading the charlton forums comments would be reading it with the full awareness that what is written need not apply to Pardews future success or other wise here. I just found their comments of interest, as much on the human leval of how exposed ones character is to fans. If there is a similar thread on the reading or west ham forum that would be of equal interest. Then perhaps you could post how we all take there positive posts [probably] as gospel and how we shouldnt be comlacent blah blah.

Interesting reading the comments about Pardew. The first thing that struck me, apart from the generally low opinion of him, was how intelligent the posts seemed in comparison to some of the drivel posted on here. [sorry to generalise, because am thinking in the main about a small number of posters that post a lot.]. I thought the comments were interesting and brought home to me how hard it must be for a manager of a football club to have all aspects of his life open to general discussion. Only time will tell what Pardews legacy will be, but i am sure he more than any one will be motivated to show his detractors that he is better than they may believe. Sincerely hope for his sake we win tomorrow..

I am sure Pardew will be more than happy about appointment. The new owner is no fool, he would have made appointment with Pardews full support and involvement. Another massive sign of intent..............

i think you will find that Coppell is a man of integrity. If he indeed does come in as d.o.f. he will only do it with Pardews total support. He im sure will have no desire to become our manager. If this comes off it will be a significant day in the history of our club. Good times really are around the corner.............

news now reporting Steve Coppel being lined up as director of football. If that happens it is yet another sign that the new owner means business.

Well said. I know it wont happen because it is a world of free speach, but wouldnt it be great if any one disagreeing with these sentiments would simply **** off. I know they dont have the wit to see it and i can imagine the response from these morons but you people slagging off the manager allready [and i know it is very few] really are not part of the new southampton. how often have we seen teams with a player sent off doing well. Any one even thinking that Pardew should go are absolute fools. Our only chance of progressing is to still have him in 3 years time. Of course we want to be doing better but we are still getting over the appalling damage Lowe did to our club. Just keep your heads and look forward to better times round the corner. Last year i stated at the start of the season that we would probably go down. Let me now predict that we will be back in the premier league in the next 5 years.

i think the five year deal is a way to get round the wage cap. I bet he will retire in a couple of years but will still be paid contract

That is the trouble with writing something down, it makes it a statement, with no context, so can be taken as a mission statement of my life. ie my whole means of judging people is how they act on an internet forum. Or ie. may just be a passing comment that people can show there true colours when they are able to feel no consequences etc. I do agree how ever that i must be sad in that i have attempted to justify my statement, which was just an attempt to give support to a credible poster. I used to judge people by the way they are to children when they think no one is watching. For instance, small child in queue, adult pushes in front of them. We have all seen many times but that action tells all about that person, ie cowardly, selfish etc. I now judge people by how they are on internet forums and it is easy to spot saddos, fakes, egotists, attention seekers etc. I think, although it is hard, that the idiots on this site, and you soon get to know who they are, are best totally ignored, as a lot of there purpose is to get a reaction, so why feed that. So F. F. please keep posting.The reason i spend time on this site is to get a heads up on signings, or any interesting titbits on whats going on in the club. So any even remotely itks are the life blood of this site.

your right it was lowes error, one of numerous errors the pompous ..... made. Do you have no awareness of the fact his errors have had so much effect on other peoples lives. Lowes ok, after all nothing in his mind was his fault so hes happy in the putrid little bubble he lives in................

Nothing in the article is any surprise. The only thing its clarified in my mind is how lucky Pearson was to get out. Feel sorry for the man,[J.P] he was well and truely screwed by Lowe. I wonder if Lowe can sleep at night? Any way , all in the past now so onwards and upwards, as they say......

This is when the forum shows its bad side. When the idiots come out, spouting crap. Pardew needs time. There are so many issues, some obvious and some we dont even know about. These will take time to sort out. Of course we are all disapointed, no one wanted one point from 9. We do at last, i believe have a sound owner and i can see a lot of reasons why long term we will get better. I do wonder sometime though when i read some of the drivel on this forum if we deserve success. So come on everyone, try not to react badly to these results. Have faith and just support............

i think that describes a body of our so called supporters............ you know who you are. Stop panicking. Have faith, we are very lucky we still have a team to support. Accept we will do well to end our season any where near mid table. Stop thinking we just have to turn up to win.....
