I don't agree WE are an emerging Premier League Team THEY are an established Top level Spanish Team, with loads of European experience What do you expect ?? A couple of pints at the Royal Oak, the match, and change from a tenner Friendly or not, they are a good team, and worthy of OUR support IMHO

Very sorry Ottery, Celtic may very well of got the amount they wanted, but I do NOT believe that the figure was "always" £12.5M "
-
Firstly, of course it was Cardiff and not Norwich .... my mistake for which I apologise My "point" was that Cardiff are/were now saying that they did not make a "firm" bid of £19M At the time, it was mooted that they had made such a bid, and also, around that time, we are supposed to have "upped" our bid to 12.5M (Many on here said the £0.5M was a way out of the Agent's greedy finger scenario ) In light of Cardiff now saying that they were not in the bidding, I then posed the question "was NC conned by Lennon ? "
-
Norwich have indicated that they did NOT make a concrete offer of £10 M for Victor, and Neil Lennon has confirmed this. So, as we were the only bidder, how come we got shafted to the tune of £12.5 M ??
-
As a rough estimate, his shirt wil have to be 4ft wide
-
Anyone remember John Greentree .... involved with them at the time. Very good team, but their ground not quite big enough for Hampshire League
-
Agents would only "back down" if no other offer for their player was on the table So far, it looks like it's only us who wants him But, the "achilles heel" to playing hardball is the fact that UNTIL the player signs on the dotted line, the agent can still be trying to sell his player elsewhere. So, until Wanyama actually SIGNS, he is not our player Deals have been scuppered at the last minute before in footbal ....... by AGENTSl
-
I did, and I meant no disresrect to you s/s As Wanyama is / was away with the Celtic squad, I would have assumed he already had the necessary passport and papers to allow him to travel and play ?
-
Could not have been talking about Wanyama then. He already has a valid passport and work permit
-
Re "Southampton Football club will be unrecognisable at all levels in the next 3 years " Yeah .... Cortese will have the team in Blue Shirts, White shorts, and Red socks ... what does he care about Heritage and Tradition
-
So what has Cortese achieved ? we still have no player
-
He said he preferred them because they had distinctive Red and White striped shirts.

More capacity at St Marys or new ground?
SaintRichmond replied to Horton Heath Saint's topic in The Saints
Stoneham ..... where it should have been in the first place Easily accessible via Air, Rail, Car, Public transport etc -
It could be made out of Gold Lame for all I care The point is It isn't SAINTS
-
Cortese's in Cheltenham, with a large tape measure
-
Just buy a new gold saints badge, and you've saved yourself a mint

I'm not saying it doesn't look smart. I'm saying it looks more like Arsenal, and definitely NOT Southampton. Pity you don't live in Cardiff. I expect you would have applauded their change from their traditional Blue to Red, just on a whim of their Eastern owners
-
Sorry, perhaps I should have said something like " the many thousands observed wearing Saints Red and White stripes on any home matchday" , but they were too many to count.

Just sent this to the Club. I'll let you know when my ST gets revoked. "Dear Mr Cortese I felt I had to send this to register my displeasure, and great disappoinment with the latest Home shirt kit launch. I must ask, do you really understand the Southampton Football Supporter ? Do you actually care about what he/she thinks ? Last season 2012/13 we had an ALL RED kit, which made us look like Liverpool Now, this season 2013/14 we have a shirt which makes us look like Arsenal What would you think if suddenly, the cross was taken away from the Swiss National Flag, of the Italian Flag was changed to all Red ?? Supporters CARE about their Club, but Heritage and Tradition means a lot to us. I am only one Supporter, but I will definitely not be purchasing something which in my view does NOT look like A Southampton shirt. I will take great pride in still my RED and WHITE stripe shirt for the coming season, and I am convinced that many other Supporters will do the same. Suffice to say, I am most displeased with the latest merchandise, which I consider to be nothing like what most long standing and loyal supporters were wishing for"
-
I think it is an Arsenal "look alike" shirt, just like the Liverpool "look alike" one last season. I'll still be wearing my (old) but Saints STRIPES one, and I would urge EVERY Saints fan to show their displeasure, by wearing SAINTS STRIPES at every home match
-
In that pic, he looks a bit like (early) Stephen Hendry the snooker player IMHO
-
Looks like an Arsenal strip
