Without those self same Hotel and Add ons that Lowe needed ..... ??? Lowe did NOT get St Mary's for us. He ruined the Stoneham deal by trying to be too greedy And a quick response to CB Fry ... a) Stoneham would have been circa 38000 b) Yes, I did advocate SISU at the time, and for that, I was proved seriously wrong ...... and so were Coventry more's the pity.
-
Surely you've been on Cloud Nine lately, like the rest of us ???
-
That was under Lowe-Life. And he managed to F**k up the negotiations big time. We got St Mary's with the Council's blessing, not Lowe-Life's As of now, the capacity would be 40000 minimum I reckon

Would the Car Park be the same as the current one at St Mary's. I think not. It would be bigger, so I would contend that like for like comparisons are fruitless As a matter of interest, how long does it take for ALL Football related traffic to clear Southampton on match days ?
-
And of course things like that would not be addressed and catered for at the Design/Development stage ? Bit like a New Housing estate, Access Drainage Services etc etc are all planned well before building commences. Dispersal of 10,000 people ?? (or 30,000 for that matter ) No harder a logistics nightmare than exiting from Northam end over that rickety old bottleneck of a bridge.
-
We have that already in Southampton, and traffic problems on Match days. Stoneham would have been so much easier on all counts IMHO

Talking about obvious points re Stoneham Easily accessible by Railway Station (already there). Choice of 2, Parkway or Swaythling. Road ? Motorways (already there) Both would allow easy accessibility to the Stadium (by foot) Certainly no greater distance than at present (all round the houses at Chapel.and a Bridge over the River Kwai system at Northam end. ) Much better than walking over a Railway sytem, which although still parking it's trains by the Stadium, is of no benefit to it. As you say, Infinitely preferable. I do wish people would see these obvious points. PS Where do you get the idea that a Stadium at Stoneham would be smaller than St Mary's ?

A few months back, when I enquired about Renewal, I was told that ST holders automatically got Membership, and just had to show their STicket at the door ??

You mean like Portsmouth ?? That worked out well. Thanks to their "Friends" in high places, they wrote off over £160M, and are STILL in existance. All the little corner shops they swindled out of paying DIDN'T survive. Their mysterious "Friend" should hang his head in shame -
I like his current Team's home shirt ....... does Nicola know ?

If that is fact, then it is great news. Thanks for that

I've got this sneaky feeling that AP does not think as highly of SRL as we do, and because of that, I don't think SRL will start many matches whilst Osvaldo is available. Hope to be proved wrong of course, as I share most peoples vision of SRL and the Big O forming a lethal partnership.

IMHO, It is no longer the ENGLISH Premier League, for the simple reason that most of the starting elevens now comprise mainly of NON English players That's why picking an England Team is so very easy now, thereaint too many about -
In 2015 ?? That's in One or Two Administration's time then ???

Putting aside for one minute, all peoples views expressed; For me, the main fact is the RATE at which Climate Change is happening, It IS increasing Big Time, and is escalating as time passes. it is much much faster than it was 200 years ago, and, pro rata, much faster than it was 100 years ago. You can argue about WHAT is causing GW, but you cannot argue about the fact that it is happening. FWIW, I think the people that say there is nothing to worry about are living in cloud cuckoo land Having a "I'm not bothered, it won't affect my generation" is very selfish, because it will impact on their generations to come. Unfortunately, before any significant action to combat GW can be put in place, we will have to wait foe the likes of China to go through their Industial Revolution phase, and that won't be someday soon. -
That's a hell of a price ...... it's cheaper in the Marlands

That's my wife's philosophy as well ..........

So £12.5M was an acceptable ammount ?? Not £11M, or £12M .... but £12.5M Was £12.5M our First offer ?? Any thoughts on why we added £2.5M to make it an "acceptable" ammount ?? ie Was the £0.5M added to allow for Postage and Packing ??
