  1. From what has already been said by the Manager/SFC, we were not going to be buying anyone in January With the exit of Cortese and the (still) relative uncertainty as to Leibherrs future policy, that situation has not changed one iota In other words, we sink or swim with what we have IMHO, far from Buying anyone, I think there will be a mass Exodus in the summer, once the players realise that Leibherr HAS come to the end of the road as far as further progression is concerned Don't slag me off too much...... come the summer you may have to change your mind
  2. I'd forgotten about that .................. refresh my memory, exactly what percentage of the "Club" do their "fans" own ??
  3. Many people do not want to believe the obvious, but I think the above is very close to what Katharina Leibherr is thinking. We recovered from Markus's sad passing because Cortes had the backing of the Leibherr Family to fulfil Markus's five year dream The Leibherr's now consider that, at the end of Markus's five years, that they no longer have a Family obligation to him, or to us. Whilst they MAY be willing to continue as owners, it will be on a very vastly reduced Budget. I think anyone who seriously thinks otherwise is deluded. I do not think that Katharina Leibherr's heart and soul is in running Southampton Football Club. Cortese did not Quit because he "threw the toys from his pram". He Quit because he saw the writing on the wall Running a Mid Table Prem team costs a great deal of money PER season. Running a Top 8 one costs even more. Cortes's plans were for the latter. I for one sincerely hope that he comes back soon.
  4. I am fully aware that Markus had nothing to do with the main Leibherr enterprises. However, he WAS worth quite a bit. I understand that his MALI Companys were "liquidated" ?? If so, Katharina must be worth a few bob. ?? If not, that could explain her reigning in
  5. Mega Company = Leibherrs Bit bigger than Woolworths I think Cortes's 3 month notice. Without trolling through all posts, many references have been made to this. Is that a lie then ? Can you confirm it is a lie ? An "interim" CEO would be quite the norm if Cortese's leaving was a "bolt out of the blue" But I am of the opinion that it wasn't, and I don't believe Pochettino only knew about it on the day Cortese left .... Again, just my opinion after viewing all that has been put on this site. I firmly believe that Cortese wanted to take us further forward, and the Leibherrs wanted to reign back. Just my opinion. We will only know the answer to that once the (New) CEO outlines future strategy for Southampton Football Club, but IMHO, further funding will be very limited Just my opinions of course, There to be ridicled of course Only time will tell if any or none hold any truth
  6. 1000% THIS Anyone care to offer a counter opinion ??
  7. Why ? Your "in depth" responses to my posts are superb
  8. Whilst KL's statement is "encouraging", it is still early days IMHO As many have said, we won't hear anything Specific until she has assembled HER team Does anyone know whether KL has actually spoken to the PLAYERS ??. It will be their reaction upon which we should judge what our future has in store. ATM, I fear that unless KL is positive on that issue, then some of the players will want out. ALL players want to be in some sort of European Competition, no one can argue against tha surely ? Questions I am eager to hear answers too are : Funding of the Team. Will we (still) be REALLY competing in yhe Transfer market to further improve the Team, or, as has been hinted, will that now be only from the Academy St Marys. Are their REAL plans to expand the Stadium, or can I now use NC's DVD as a coaster ??
  9. Heinz Brown is certainly NOT looking at the ball in that pic
  10. As is Long John Silver
  11. Only masses of Charity ones, and Luke Shaw can afford to go a bit up-market than those
  12. Those were the days. Pete Murray & Co if I remember correctly Bring it on
  13. It MAY happen Can you 100% say it won't ??
  14. Moot point. You don'y know until you've done it But, years ago, Liverpool were not filling Anfield. Then along came Shankley, Titles, Trophys, and Support to match Speculate to accumalate .... Success Breeds Success
  15. Hope you are just as pleased should MP quit, and Sam ( Out of Work Again) Allardyce is appointed SFC Manager by Williams ??
  16. NC issued the DVD and write up, not me So you must mean that HE had no sense then ??
  17. Exactly ..... without further Investment, we will only go Backwards Until Katharina outlines her Investment Strategy, then I will remain Pessimistic NC wanted to progress onwards and upwards, which need further funding No way do I believe Katharina intends anything like the scale neede For example ...... is the Stadium expansion just a pipe dream now ??
  18. NC resigned ... WHY ? IMHO because the Leibherrs do not want to sell, OR put any more money into the Club. By so doing, NC's dream of aiming for CL Football stood NO chance at all The only way we will ever get close to that, is under NEW owners, with Mega Money as per the Man City module Regretably, I honestly think we are at the limit to what we will achieve under the Leibherr reign. I fear they are not prepared to invest the Mega Money needed It would be interesting to see what happens if NC came back with a Mega Deal from another source. Would the Leibherrs sell then ??
  19. What is your take on Cotese's "vision" for taking us to the next level ?? We are/were supposed to have plans for enlarging St Marys. Cortese mooted getting us to the Champions League. Each vision would cost Mega Bucks. Who is prepared to fund it ?? I do not think the Leibherrs have any intention of further massive funding, and that could well be the reason why Cortese "walked" IMHO, if Katherina Leibherr does not want to sell, and baulks at further funding, then I fear SFC will stagnate, and sink back into the trough of bit players of the Prem What would your take on this be ?
  20. ONLY players that Pochettino agrees can leave ..... (according to him/or his interpreter)
  21. Would you kindly ask the current owner of Cardiff F.C for his comments re this ?? Thanks
  22. Possibly, from a BUSINESS point of view, a £7M offer NOW, for a 31 year old, would have been too good an opportunity to pass up. (Not tha I would have wanted RL to leave. As in The Godfather .... " tell Michael it was just business "
