    Boruc

If he wasn't at fault for the 2nd Goal, then what was he doing on the pitch ??? A Defender would have got to the ball, but Boroc, (with the extra aid of being able to use his hands) got nowhere near it, yet he only had to move 2 ft from his line Why do most GK's these days model themselves on the Morecombe & Wise sketch of the Bar Footbal game ??? Along the line , but can't move forward. ??
  2. He's right................. next time, don't threaten ...... just do it FActless allen ..... giving Tw*ts a bad name
  3. Grade 2 leaning certainly
  4. Plus, the question of actually getting to the "stadium", from the Health and Safety viewpoint And, surely Tesco's wouldn't want hordes of twelve fingered inbreds nipping in to pinch some free fags on matchdays ?
  5. Ah yes ... A very "political" statement if ever there was one IMHO
  6. No, he was not very good. OK, when back "in form", he is very good, but I feel very sorry for Cork. His form has been brilliant, IMHO, so, why drop a player playing well ? Who'd be a Manager eh ?
  7. Please redirect your post to :- Miss Katharina Leibherr, c/o Southampton F.C. No point in "Dreaming" until we know what the Owner's plans are ( Don't hold your breath )
  8. IMHO Astori makes too many mistakes, and would not be an improvement to what we already have
  9. It has NOT been written into the deal that Juve WILL have to pay ANY transfer fee They have only taken him ON LOAN After Serie A season finishes, IMHO, they will NOT purchase him from us, and he will be back as our "player" That is the problem with Loans with an option to buy ......... at the end of the day, you don't have to buy if you don't want to
  10. As regards Osvaldo, the Staplewood WBA Eliminator speeded things up a tad ??....................... what does coherent mean ?
  11. Conspiracy Theory No 174b Roma wanted rid of Osvaldo Osvaldo wanted a "Bigger" Club in Italy Roma did not want to sell to a "rival" Saints showed interest. Roma were keen. Osvaldo wasn't Osvaldo's Agent "suggested" to Osvaldo that if he were to sign for Saints, he would start sounding out Italian Clubs for a return to Serie A That suited Roma, they would have got rid of him, and not to a Rival So Osvaldo signs for Saints He then made pretty damn sure he didn't play too much for us Not convinced ??? Talk of Osvaldos return to Italy started circa October 2013
  12. He got it from Oddjob
  13. I see in the pic, his "minder" has got a firm grip on his arm
  14. So would I ..... but that's the whole point .... he WASN'T banging them in IMHO, from the minute he got here, he was thinking of how to getr back to Italy I'd like to think he's achieved his wish, but it's only a LOAN, with an option to buy. My bet is Juve will chuck him back in the summer
  15. Well. I for one think that Gallagher is a reaj "find", and if Ricky is unfit, then I won't be at all worried about seeing Sam playing Alan Shearer, Mike Channon, and Le Tiss didn't do too badly when they were "forced" into playing at 17/18 years of age
  16. READ what he said ...... ONLY players he wants to leave will leave Got it now ? My opinion, for what it's worth We are Ninth, with little prospect of getting any higher... so Blood some Academy Kids. It's the only way to see if any (more) can make it in the Prem THIS season, even if we had signed Messi, I doubt if we would make the Champions League We may lose some "Stars" in the summer, if they want to chase European Football, but that's the chance ANY Prem team has to take by not finishing in thr Top Four
  17. My honest answer to that is NO we are not weaker, as a squad Osvaldo has not played much for us really He is (was) a disruptive influence. The Fonte incident was NOT the first incident by any means He had a bad reputation before he got here, and unfortunately (for us) he lived up to it. I cannot think why you are banging on about a person who had, without a shadow of a doubt, was more trouble than he was worth You cannot put a price on comradery, team spirit, and togetherness, but boy oh boy, IMHO, you can certainly see the difference that his ABSENCE has made to Team morale His legacy at Saints ?? a couple of seconds v Man City, and shed loads of trouble. Not a bad return for £15M Also, IMHO. Gallagher has shown more HEART, enthusiasm, and sheer EFFORT in the Two matches that he has been involved in. I will always applaud that instead of a tempermental Nut Job With the right handling Samm Gallagher us going to be BIG
  18. Of course, the "buy option" at the end of the season does NOT mean that he WILL be transferred. That is the Achilles heel of Loan deals
  19. Bit unfair on Delgado He was the best one legged footballer we ever had If only we could have got the other leg to work, he'd have been magic
  20. If I remember correctly :- He played a young upcomming talent, Alan Shearer, v Arsenal at the Dell ...... Shearer scored a hat-trick Nicholl then rewarded Shearer by NOT picking him again for months Terrible decision IMHO
  21. Sam Gallagher My initial random impressions Only CCC opposition but did not look out of place Took goal well, could have had a second Looked big lad but mobile with it Looks a natural For those who think (any) player is “too young”, it’s worth noting that the following made their debuts at an early age :- Greaves (17) Trevor Francis (16) Chivers (17) Ball (17) Giggs (17 ?) Channon (17) Le tiss (18 ?) Yes, they are ALL Big names yes, but the thing to remember is, they weren’t big names on their debuts, ……but their abilities made them into Big names Could have saved us £15M Good Luck Sam
  22. Well, that's encouragement for the rest of the Academy players They might just as well throw themselves off the Itchen Bridge right now then ??
  23. Melchester Rovers
  24. ...... " he's from Barcelona " ......
  25. IMHO This is a good illustration as to what lies ahead IF JRod signs another contract (long term), then that will be a massive pointer that the players think that Saints are still on the up and up If he does NOT sign a new deal, then no one on here can have any doubt that the Leibherr future is NOT the progressive one that Markus gave us
