  1. Ambition ?? What a joke Well, no one could have any doubts left about Katharina's SFC Ambition now surely ??? He is right in one way, he had to look DOWN a long way to find someone who had such a small ambitious desire that SFC obviously has ( Small increase in ST prices, No news re the Manager, growing speculation re the Players, Wow, I can't wait for the start of next season )
  2. And you really think that is worth J*ck Sh*t if anyone shows an interest I mean, no Player ever leaves a Club whilst still under contract do they ?? Get real
  3. By then it will be FAR too late Speculation about players of all Clubs has already in full swing I think it is very simple. If Pochettino was staying, he would have signed a 3/4 year deal LONG ago. Why all the faffing around The likes of Liverpool have cemented their Managerial future with Rogers .... we havn't been able to do the same with Pochettino Why not ? because Liverpool's cause is onward and upwards. Ours isn't. Why is it so hard for people to see that ? (In spite of C.B Fry's usual slagging off, I will shortly be proved correct)
  4. Many people think Saints have a very good Manager in Pochettino, and they wonder why a long term contract to keep him has not been done by now Makes me wonder if the likes of Liverpool will think ahead and sign THEIR Manager to a long term deal before us ? It's almost as if MoPo is NOT interested in committing to SFC ?? Surely not ? And as for all the useless spiel that Reed and Krueger are coming out with Well, I hope everyone Renews their ST before 30th May. Ralph and Les will have run out of ways to Stonewall by then Blind Faith ( a very good group )
  5. OK, but Why have attendances dropped, even though we are having a great time on the pitch ? I would venture to suggest the main reason is MONEy. A lot of people, myself included, are not in a position to throw money away. I have to be careful what I do with mine But that is where having a Bigger Capacity Stadium would reap long term rewards If 30000 fans are charged £30 to see a match, the Revenue would be £900,000 In a 40,000 capacity stadium, you would only have to charge £22.50p to get £900,000 It would not work out exactly that in reality, but you should see the point. £22.50 is more attractive ( ie Affordable ) tha £30 is it not The longer the Club delays in expanding St Marys, the Higher the ST prices will rise, and the Less affordable they will be to the likes of myself IMHO
  6. Which could be by the end of next season. Bit late to think of expansion then don't you think Bit like waiting for your mother to reach 103 and then submitting plans for a deluxe stairlift
  7. Wrong.. I'm not jumping to any conclusion. Krueger has said that he (SFC) won't be enlarging St Mary's
  8. Why say that ?? We might Qualify for Europe next season. You have to plan ahead, submit plans, get approval etc etc. It all takes time (4 to 5 years if all went well ) Yes, Cortese has gone, but at least he DID have plans to take us further, and was ready to get them implemated. It is painfully obvious to me that Katharina/Krueger's plans are NOT so ambitious Contaction rather than Expansion
  9. And you CB, (sorry cb ) demonstrate yet again that whilst al you can do is slag someone off, whilst not offering any sensible contra suggestions yourself/ What I say is what I think. It may prove to be wrong, but ir might, just might, prove to be correct What will you say if what I say comes to fruition cb ??
  10. The Club (Katharina Leibherr/Ralph Kreuger) instructed Les Reed to make the statement for ONE purpose only, and that is simply to get as many existing ST holders to renew by 39th May (After that date they go on General Sale). So, you have to ask yourself this. By 30th May, what will we know about SFC 2014/15 ?? . .... in reality, not a lot We WON't know who our Manager will be, we WON't know how many (if any) of the players will be leaving, and we WON't know the CALIBRE of player the Club are looking to replace them with Les Reed's statement was carefully worded. Read it through a few times and you do realise that it doesn't really say a lot. Serious transfer talk/action doesn't start untill close season, BUT everybody has a mobile phone. Don't you think the airwaves are Buzzing already betweem Clubs and players.? Of course they are. Nothing OFFICIAL though, so Les Reed is correct, no Official contact with the Club. Pochettino. Les Reed says he is happy with the way things are between the Club and Manager. That tells us Zilch. Doesn't make a lot of sense though. Plus of course the bit about no player will be sold that Pochettino wants to stay. Very applaudable, IF Pochettino were our long term Manager. But we DON't know if he is staying, and if he goes, SFC can sell as many as they wish without Les Reed's uttrances being false. My view of Pochettino ? Simple, If you have a valuable Diamond, you insure it, you don't leave it hanging around for someone else to steal One thing that has come out of all this is that the Leibherrs are NOT going to spend the Mega Money needed to "enlarge" St Mary's (Ralph Kreuger said there were no immediate plans ) So you can forget about becomming a Big Club, able to compete with the Big Boys, and start using Cortese's DVD as a Coaster By saying that, Kreuger has indicated VERY clearly that our "Future" will be within the constraints of a 32500 capacity average Club. No more, no less
  11. Not long ago, he said that the Expansion of St Mary's was second to the completion of the training facilities Now the message is that he is quite happy with the Stadium as it is IMHO, that means we WON'T be "enlarging" Sta Marys, and believe it or not, how far ANY Team progresses does depend on how large their stadium capacity is.
  12. Careful !!! I get pilloried every time I dare to suggest such a thing ............. though tis true Mind you, Pochettino never mentioned he didn't want to win the F.A. Cup either That should attract a few more insults
  13. What about "We want everbody to purchase Season Tickets before we tell you whether or not Pochettino and some of the players go." Nice to have all that money reeled in before any negativity hits us
  14. Are you saying you don't agree with my opinion(s) ?? Be nice to hear yours for a change, instead of the usual slagging off As I've said before, come the start of NEXT season, a lot on here are going to be VERY diappointed in the news from St Mary's Just for the record, I've only been on this forum in the name shown
  15. I hope Pochettino stays, but, as each day passes, I doubt it more and more The Club should have had that position tied up LONG ago, but they havn't, which, to me, weakens the Club's position the longer it goes on. You just cannot sit back and do NOTHING to allay peoples genuine "fears" as to what the Club's future is intended to be, and then, come the 30th May, EXPECT all EXISTING ST holders to blindly commit their hard earned cash to buying into a future of which you are told very little.
  16. YES A) SFC knew we could never reach 4th, and Qualify for the European Cup B) SFC (as per MoPo's comment) did NOT want Europa Cup competition, and the best way to avoid that possibility, is NOT to end up high enough in the League to actually Qualify for it. C) SFC finishing 8th or 9th means NOT having to bother with the Europa Cup, which MoPo has stated he (SFC) does not want
  17. Major Drug Scandal At Top English Club ........ Lots of Police seen there Sniffin' around
  18. True, and neither was Europe via the League. Did not Poch say "The Europa Cup would kill us ", or words to that effect So, from then on in, getting higher tha eigth was never an option, because SFC did not want to be in the Europa Cup
  19. Except hold him to his Contract Hey, that's a novel idea ..... I wonder if any Club has told any player that he has to honour the piece of paper he SIGNED ?
  20. The point to remember about Pompey "OVEREACHED" with Money that they DID NO HAVE Whatever we have done (to date) HAS been funded by the Leibherrs BIG Difference Having said that, I don't think Funding to take us on upwards will be forthcoming, and neither will be the expansion of St Mary's A lot of money ? Yes of course it is ..... but so are the REWARDS. Unfortunately, we can go no further with a stadium limited to 32500 O for Bon Jovi to bring in the £millions
  21. Surely that's the whole point Juventus KNEW right from the off that we wanted to get rid of him So, why all the "K rap" about JUve having an "option to buy" ..... a load of spheres They had NO intention to buy, and we should NOT have loaned him out Not play him, fine. Ban him from training, fine . THEN his agent would have had to work for his money, because Osvaldo would NOT have been happy by not playing in the run up to WC selection ( Lawrie Mac did something similar to Mark Wright when he went Ape, sorted him out though )
  22. True How many did Lambert miss this week ?? (If he's NOT a striker, what is he ? )
  23. Juventus are taking the P .... but that should come as no surprise Did anyone REALLY think that they were going to cough up £15M ? Fantasy League stuff As I have said before, this illustrates perfectly why loaning out a player "with an option to buy" is a waste of time Juventus had NO intention of ever paying £15M I would tell Juventus to "get stuffed" and call Osvaldo BACK That would certainly put his useless Agent on overdrive if nothing else. Cortese would have called him back the minute Juventus started all the Krap
