  1. BOTH !!!! What is the point of having to pay him Mega Bucks simply to train once or twice a week Mr Lowe, as a Businessman, surely that does NOT make any sense ???
  2. I'm concerned too It is (already) obvious that the first signs of panic have set in Poortvliet is already beginning to tamper with the system that he, and Lowe heralded as the way forward. In the UK Centre forwards are Centre forwards, goalkeepers are Goalkeepers etc etc,..... yet we see McGoldrick playing on the right wing IT WILL NOT WORK JAN ....... he has been a Centre forward too long As has been said ... if changes HAVE to be made, make them LIKE for LIKE. If you have an "understudy" RB, then PLAY HIM, otherwise what is the point of having an "understudy RB ???? Change brings unrest ...... and unfortunately, the tell tale signs are alreadt there.
  3. OR, it could be something to do with having a Chairman who REALLY WANTS TO SELL / GET INVESTMENT ( Which is surely something, purely from a Businessman's point of view, Lowe has failed to do for well over Ten years .... )
  4. The "damage" to our Club was done over a period of time LONG BEFORE we "customers" have (now) opted not to go It was done mainly by Lowe himself, with all his "I am always right and never wrong" attitude. For over Ten years he failed to bring in any Investment into SFC, in times that had a far better economical climate than at present. That fact SHOULD have illustrated to most people, that, in reality, he had NO intention of getting people in to overthrow his own little personnal Empire, as that would have meant relinquishing his Numero Uno spot. We DO have some very talented young players, but Lowe's stupid insistance that they alone could keep us ticking over was and is foolhardy in it's concept We ARE most likely playing some of the BEST Football in the CCC, but what Lowe and Poortvliet fail to either acknowledge or understand is that "football" or "total football" with youngsters will not work in the CCC. All other teams possess great big defenders, who are street wise enough to knock the "pretty pretty" playmakers to one side.tt ewere far more In some respects, we are playing delightful Football worthy of the Prem .... but we are NOT in the Prem. To suceed, or stay alive in the CCC we have to play CCC type football. It may not be attractive to watch, but it would get RESULTS A lot of Fans are disallusioned with SFC, but, IMHO, most are fed up with Lowe, NOT the Team. To gauge how bad it is, I would say this. Even under Branfoot, us Supporters cheered Saints on. The apathy shown to Saints can now be traced back 100% to the minute Lowe and Judas Wilde returned, IMHO They will destroy our Club before long, but as their return was nothing to do wit Football, they won't give a damn Since his return, Lowe has been acting more like an Administrator than a so called Chairman ...... so the quicker he steps aside and lets a real one do the job, the better. Do it now, whilst we will still have a chance of staying in the CCC
  5. You mean a Rail Terminus ???????
  6. I agree attendances are down at a lot of other grounds ......... but based on Saturday's figure of below 15000, that is 50% down on what it used to be. THAT is nothing to do with the World Recession ........... it is 100% to do with SFC's Recession Lowe should realise that when you get to a point of baling out the bucket that you are baling out from, then it's time to realise that Ego is one thing, Reality is another We need to be in the Prem, but we are not We need a successful Team on the pitch, but we have talented youngsters who will soon have the confidence knocked out of them We have a "Leader" who thinks everything he does is right, whereas, in reality, actions taken this season should have been implemented whilst we were still in the Prem ....... ironically, the very time that he did Zero to keep us there ........ the biggest BUSINESS mistake he ever made
  7. Don't forget, that with all his other Business Positions of Importance, he can only allow the PLC 10% of his time ......... ......... and that is still 10% too much
  8. THAT is absolute FACT ..... In Lowe's Business Jargon, it is "Covering One's Anus Luvvie " Ironically, the only thing I believe about Lowe is that he is a Businessman ....... but it is amazing how many people really think he cares one iota about Southampton Football
  9. What would I have done, or not done ?? I would NOT have been so vindictive as to get rid of anyone who was not appointed by Lowe in the first place I would NOT have got rid of ALL the Experienced players that ARE needed to HELP the younger players I would NOT have gambled exclussively on fielding what in effect was our Youth Team of a few seasons back But, I think most of all, having stated that I (Lowe) did not want to return ........ I would have stuck to that, as any decent Administrator could have done what Lowe has done Just a few things I would have done
  10. Yes, it's pretty poor really .............. almost as bad as when Nigel Pearson was saving us last season PSSSST ..... How's Pearson doing Rupert ????????
  11. Agreed He will NEVER sell up He is back because of Judas Wilde, and their respective Business "interests", which has sod all to do with Football As regards his "smirking expression" ...... simple ....... he is just basking in the glory of being able to come back to the position that it took so long to dislodge him from. As we are merely "Customers"... ( though not so many now Mr Lowe) , what we say or do counts for nothing, or means nothing, in his eyes The quicker people realise the fact that he is NOT back for the benefit of what we paying customers go to see, the better All he has so far achieved is selling most of the players that may have stabilised us in the CCC, and left us with a very young side lacking in the experience and guile to get victory's in this non-football type League Surely we will have to go into Admin if gates continue to fall, and we plummet to Div 1 ... ???? The massive debt of St Mary's .... ( negotiated by super businessman Lowe ) .... cannot be borne for too much longer
  12. Even so, I have sympathy with McGoldrick ........ he is NOT a right winger, and playing him out on the right will NEVER work OK, in Holland, players take turns to play in EVERY position, but they do that from the moment they are first coached. ......... It can NOT be done years into a footballer's life. Poortvliet may be getting more Football out of the players, but he HAS to realise that there are LIMITS Playing a recognised centre forward out on the right is CRAZY, IMHO, coupled with the fact that Poortvliets tactics stop at the edge of the box, because we have no one with enough CCC muscle to go on and SHOOT
  13. That is the problem ........ we are a "half decent Team" Trouble is, Lowe has shipped out those that would have made us into " a decent Team " ........ and we now ( allegedly) have no money to buy the other " half decent Team " to make us a true force. Not a lot of point in being frugal at the expense of another Relegation is it Mr Lowe ???
  14. Reasons ??? 1 Rupert Lowe 2 - 1000 ..... as 1 1000 onwards .... Michael "Judas" Wilde BOTH are back for their OWN benefit .... NOT SAints and Lowe has only done what an Administrator would have done to cut costs, he (still) has NO intention of even trying to attract Investment to rock his own little Kingdom (YES, I know there is a "global" recession etc etc ......... BUT, for example, it was the same recession for the likes of Man City, so don't try to tell me that there are no Investors out there. It is simply none can get past Lowe, in the first instance Perhaps another Relegation, even lower attendances, and an Administration situation will finally convince all those that wanted Lowe back, just how much a BACKWARD step that was. I live for the day when Wilde and Lowe LOSE all their money. Lowe got his Saints "Shares" on the cheap, so he should not complain
  15. I agree times are/were hard, and that players had to be "shifted" as you put it. Problem was, Lowe staked EVERYTHING on an untried Dutch duo, whilst ALSO selling a lot of "experienced" players, leaving us with a bare bones YOUTH inspired Team for the CCC Ironically enough, I firmly believe that our current Young Squad are playing the sort of FOOTBALL that would be worthy of the Prem, BUT, until we get back, a lot of that will be wasted, as most CCC defences have a lot of "muscle" players that can, and have negated our lightweight attack It is worth noting as well, that Poortvliet has already had to adapt his tactics,to include more seasoned EXPERIENCED players In short, I believe Lowe was WRONG to stake everything on YOUTH, ( for once, Dodd was right) , and the recent shift in playing choices demonstrate this Whether he HAD to sell every player he has, is a moot point, but, in the case of Svenson, he had scant thought of REAL cover, in the (likely) event that Killer did not make too many matches. Being frugal is one thing ..... but at the potential expense of Relegation to Div 1 ???? ........ BAD BUSINESS SENSE MR LOWE Attendances at St Mary's SHOULD tell him something, but I suppose it depends on how many of us Customers he thinks he can do without
  16. Rupert's vision ??? ..... What vision is that then ?? ....... Classic example .... Svenson........ Anyone who knows anything about Footbal would have told you that the odds of his leg holding up for a season was long. ( To come back ffor even a few games rom an injury he had, is bordering on the miraculous. Yet Lowe, IMHO, ignored that, and has got rid of a few decent "centre backs", and brought some dubious "past sell by" ones, on the cheap Our young Team DOES need some GOOD "old" heads to guide them, and Svenson is such a player ........... but only if he can play Lowe did not think it through correctly, IMHO Rupert's vision ??? ..... Impaired .... should definitely have gone to Specsavers.
  17. SKY came in and decreed that 99.9% of the MONEY went on Prem Clubs Just ask the likes of Accrington, Halifax, Wrexham, exactly what SKY have done for them. The Money Distribution within the UK Football structure is far far too Top Heavy That, coupled with ridiculously astronomical Players "salary's", and yet more and more Foreign players, makes a complete mockery of the "ENGLISH" Premiership
  18. A) Really ? ... then WHY did they not sell up ...... Answer ..That would have only happened if Hell froze over B) Abuse ?? .... Do you honestly think for one minute that they take any notice whatsoever from us Customers ??..... If you do, you are very deluded.
  19. Davies Achilles heel was that he was not "aquired! by Lowe in the first place ..... Ie, the previous "Regime" got him Therefore, it was obvious he was on Lowe's "get rid of" list ...... Simple Business Logic
  20. The following MAY not have been made 100% clear to Jan Poortvliet A) Lowe would be selling off ANY player that could command a transfer fee B) In particular, Lowe will be concentrating on selling those players brought in by the previous Regime, as they were not "sanctioned" by Lowe . C) ANY player currently in JP's First Team Squad, could, and would be sold at a minutes notice, should a buyer appear. D) Players such as Skakel, though no "offers" had materialised, would NOT be allowed in the First Team, but would simply "rot away" whilst still costing us Mega Money In "wages" E) No QUALITY player(s) would be brought in, because SFC/PLC/Lowe cannot afford it F) In a few weeks/months time, when we are firmly at the bottom of the CCC, with the "young guns" confidence shattered beyond repair, JP will then be held 100% responsible for the entire situation. G) It is always best to say absolutely NOTHING, as invariably, it will conflict with Lowe H) Jan, if you are any good with "Double Dutch", now is the time .......... I) Have a nice day .....
  21. The only "Surprise" to me, is the fact that, in spite of all the players being sold off, so many people on here STILL THINK that we are going to have a half decent season with an untried Dutch Duo, an untried system, and untried players. We are heading for Div 1 .... FAST ...... It's about time people woke up to Reality, and saw things for the way they are. PS ... The bit about "it would have happened with or without Lowe" ....... all Lowe is doing, is exactly what an Administrator would be doing, but the difference is, after all of Lowe's "culling", we are going to be in exactly the same Financial state as wea are now, with precious little being paid off of our debts, but we will be in a yet Lower League.
  22. A mid table finish would do nicely for me too ........ but I cannot see it happening. What P**es me off is this Yes, we have had to sell players to try to balance the ship, and Yes, we realised that the "way forward" was via the young players, and Yes, they have been playing very good Footbal, but, curently, no League points on the board, and Yes, we have accepted Poortvliets concept of "Total Football" WHY THEN do we "accept" to have Pulis Jnr join us ???? in "part exchange" for Davies ??? ...... He is a very very ORDINARY player, and certainly will NOT "Add" to the Teams performance IMHO If he has been "forced" on us, as the only way Stoke would purchase Davies, IMHO, it makes a mockery of the Dutch Duo's, and Lowe's aim OK, sell players if you have to, but don't replace them with "second hand" garbage that in no way is ever going to IMPROVE the existing Squad Methinks the Wheels are coming off already
  23. Another f**king joke situation ........ After the never ending Lowe "Cull", we now get this Krap ......... HOW, can the "no money, we're broke" SFC buy players ???, and even if some are obtained, does anyone think that they are going to be any better than the ones they replace???? Seems to me, the Lowe/Poortvliet "the only way is youth" startegy, is already falling apart at the seams. Mind you, we have got that fantastic future International player Pulis Junior for Jan to fit into the Team that has been gelling so well since pre season What a joke our Club has become
  24. Bournemouth are NOT carrying on with the Board that put them into Administration, Leeds do not have the same Board members either You paint such a "Gloom & Doom " picture, it's almost as if Lowe has asked you to paint the "Dark Side" Quite alot of what you put HAS in fact been done by Lowe in the few short months since Quislig Wilde got him back in This isn't Northern Rock matey, just a very badly run CCC Football Team, sorry, I meant PLC .... (Football doesn't come into it) PS ... can you define LIQUIDATION for me ???
  25. Quick answer .... A) The quicker they go, the better B) Firstly, I'd want a GOOD reason why we are apparently STILL losing an astronomical amount of money ( still can't believe Crouch & Co to be that "deceitful"' Secondly, I'd acknowledge that under the present set up, it is impossible to meet those debts, and ask for an Administrateor to come in and continue to do EXACTLY what Lowe is doing .... selling anything that moves. The difference being, we would still be in the same financial "mess", but we would be rid of those that have held the Club back for so long, and be able to start to build for the future again. Leeds started from scratch after Admin, Bournemouth are doing the same, Coventry were "saved " at the eleventh hour by other means, and are at the other end of the CCC from us ....... it IS possible to rebuild from an Administration situation Exactly WHAT could be worse ??? IMHO, things will not get any better financially under the present set up, and, the way things are looking, we seem set for a very dire struggle to avoid Division 1 Simply "baling out" every few months under Lowe& Wilde will get us absolutely nowhere at all
