Funnily enough .... If ANYONE else were in charge, then I would agree that we would not sell in January But we have Lowe, and his view of the Academy is very different to ours Lowe's interpretation is that it is purely a conveyor belt to make money for Lowe's PLC ...... Plus of course, because Saints are no longer in the Prem, he is Selling to "higher" Clubs Therefore, he has an ingrained desire to SELL any young player worthy of a transfer Fee To actually KEEP our home grown talent for the purposes of OUR SAINTS TEAM does not even cross his mind Academy = talent = saleable = PROFIT for the PLC ..... simple as that It amazes me that there are still those out there that still believe that he ( and Judas Wilde) came back for the benefit of SAINTS ....... sorry, but how thick can you get ??
-
Valid comments .... However, you have to ask yourself WHY people are staying away, and I am convinced that you cannot blame it all on the Economic Downturn I think one big reason is The Lowe Factor ......... Many feel that he is only working for his, and Wilde's own ends and the PLC ( as Lowe has stated on more than one occasion) Fans have seen a major decline in the fortune of The Saints, and Many do not see the actions of Lowe as the way back up It is pointless in having a Great Big modern Shop ........ with Sod All on the shelves Against great Odds, Poortvliet has put together a Team that is showing some semblance of Form, and IMHO, would start to consolidate our CCC status But it will all fall apart in January, when Lowe sells off Four of those players that would help us do that Of the "floating" Fans,...... ask yourself .... who would want to watch a Team that in a very short while, is going to be ripped apart ?. The only way to get gates of 25000 again, is to have a Successful Team going UP the League ........ but from February 1st, thanks to Lowe's Sales, we will be left with another New Team again struggling for survival, and I do not think they will do it In short, if Lowe came out and said, OK, Jans done well, he's got the Team playing well, I am NOT going to rip it apart ....... THEN the Supporters would start to rebuild Faith, and come back No chance though, Lowe's personnal Business interests come 1st, 2nd and 3rd. As I said, he is NOT there for Saints .... purely the PLC. And as Wilde is still supporting Lowe, then he too is there for personnal Businesss reasons too .... he can no longer call himself a SUPPORTER OF SAINTS
-
YES, I do want SAINTS to be successful, but we never will be under the present Owners, Lowe & Wilde, because all they have is a PLC Survival mentality Do YOU want to keep going to St Mary's, to Support the Football Team, only to see it ripped apart at every Transfer Window, so that Lowe can so called "Balance the Books" ..... THAT IS NOT PROGRESS, but that is all you will get In fact, what Lowe has and is doing, is no more than what an Administrator would do ..... SELL to PAY OFF Debts The difference is, that after an Administrator strips us bare, we can then at least BUILD from the botom ....... With Lowe's strategy, all he is doing (at best) is treading water .... He is not REDUCING the Debt, but what he is doing, by weakening the Team at every Transfer Window, jeapardising our very existance in the CCC ... or worse Go to St Mary's tonight my friend, and cheer the Team on, but reflect that of those in the Team, up to FOUR will not be in that Team come Feb 1st, and THEN ask yourself, are Saints on the way back Regrettably, and Emphatically .... NO (Incidently, I am a ST holder, and WILL be cheering the Team on for ninety minutes. As I have said many times, my views on The Club are purely for this Forum )
-
Ah, but that is the irony .......... I, and Many Many more Saints Fans WOULD go tonight, but for this :- It is one thing going along tonight to watch "some very skilful players", but I do not get much comfort from that ..... WHY ??? Because, in January, Lowe will be ripping the Heart out of the Team by selling Davis, Lalana, Schneiderli and Surman HOW can you call that the Rebuilding of SFC All it is, is the Rebuilding of Lowe's PLC, which is the ONLY thing that matters to him. He is on record as saying exactly that. I, and Many Many Fans WOULD go, if Lowe & Wilde stood for FOOTBALL, and not their own selfish Business Interests
-
If you think that we are in a better position both financially and on the pitch than last year, please explain why, in January, Lowe will SELL OFF Davis, Lalana, Schneiderlin, Surnam ??? THAT is not in any way a POSITIVE action, because it will IMMEDIATELY weaken the Team that has JUST begun to gel together and get results By February 1st, we will be back to the position of fielding an untried and untested Hotch Potch of players, right at the time in the season that we need to Consolidate what we have started, and push on UP the table I do NOT believe that Barclays have insisted that we sell the likes of the players listed above. They may be a Bank, but they can also see that the ONLY way for SFC to progress, is for it to be allowed to Build a successful TEAM ......... THAT is what the "Business" is all about ..... FOOTBALL Do Barclays REALLY want to see a Southampton Football Team drift slowly down the Leagues, CCC, Div 1, Div 2 etc, etc ..... I don't think so In most other Businesses, you do not TEAR APART, what is only just beginning to bear FRUIT Poortvliet HAS now put together a TEAM that are beginning to show REAL PROGRESS What Lowe is about to do in January, is to DESTROY ALL THAT
-
It will mean NOTHING as regards SAINTS Lowe's job is to keep the PLC solvent, which is nothing to do with FOOTBALL All Lowe's actions and/decisions are aimed towards this, that is why that in January, we will see the departure of Davis, Schneiderlin, Lalana, Surman .... FOUR players which are at the Heart of the Team that Poortvliet is just getting to fulfil it's potential Come January, all that will be destroyed, and our season starts again, with an even more weakened Squad Lowe The Businessman ......... thinking of Saints as always
-
So Who Do You Think Will Be Sold & For How Much?
SaintRichmond replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
Lowe will be trying to Sell :- Davis Schneiderlin Lalana Surman What he gets for them is irrelevant ........ The actual DAMAGE it will do to the Team will be irrreversible, IMHO, and will ensure our demise into Div 1 All Lowe is doing is SELLING the Team to try to keep afloat, WITHOUT in any way paving the way for a Successful Future for SAINTS SOD the PLC ..... I support a Football Team ... SAINTS BRING ON ADMINISTRATION ...... at least all monies raised would go towards clearing our debts, and NOT BE A MEANS TO KEEP THE PLC GOING When are people going to realise that Lowe will carry on like this forever, at every Transfer Window selling a few more Young players so as teh PLC does not fold WHEN ARE THE AIMS AND ASPIRATIONS OF OUR FOOTBALL TEAM GOING TO BE PUT FIRST ? NEVER as long as Lowelife and Judas Wilde are in charge -
£4.9 Million Loss reported/players to be sold
SaintRichmond replied to qwertySFC's topic in The Saints
I must admit ............ that is the best laugh I've had for ages ........ ......... Lowe to keep the Team together ???? ......... Lowe simply views the Team as Lumps of Meat he can sell off in January, to supplement the requirements of HIS PLC ......... Let me know your update after Feb 1st ................ -
£4.9 Million Loss reported/players to be sold
SaintRichmond replied to qwertySFC's topic in The Saints
THAT would be a First ..... Shareholders and/ or owners Putting money IN TO THE CLUB ....... Why, that would even mean that we would not HAVE to sell our Young Players, and THAT would mean the Team could GROW, and be SUCCESSFUL, and RISE up the CCC, and eventually get back to the Prem ........ WHERE THE FINANCIAL REWARDS ARE ........... .... but no, the LEECHES that run OUR Club would not even contemplate that ......... They are a PLC ...... nothing else -
£4.9 Million Loss reported/players to be sold
SaintRichmond replied to qwertySFC's topic in The Saints
The reason why I always "have a go " at Lowe is this :- Lowe is NOT here for the FOOTBALL ... we, as Supporters ARE Lowe is purely here working for the PLC, and is on record saying exactly that Therefore, as it stands, I am "having a go at him" because I cannot see any way that SAINTS FOOTBALL will ever progress under that scenario At EVERY transfer window, Lowe will simply Sell Off any young player he can just to balance the PLC Books WHEN WILL WE EVER PROGRESS BACK TO THE PREM that way ? ..... WE WON'T -
£4.9 Million Loss reported/players to be sold
SaintRichmond replied to qwertySFC's topic in The Saints
That being so, the reality NOW is this :- Poortvliet IS starting to get results from a basically Young Team To enable that to develop, the Team he has "Built" MUST be kept together That means that, come January, the Young players MUST be kept, and the "expensive" Luxury's got rid of IF Lowe goes down the route of selling off Schneiderlin, Suirman and Lalana, that will have various effects : 1) We will get SOME monies in, but NOT, IMHO, enough Mega Bucks to make any significent difference to our Overal debt. 2) Results on the pitch will SLUMP, as, at best, three virtually untried players will have to be drafted in 3) Attendances will DROP even further .... WHY ?? because the Fans will see that after all the very hard work that Poortvliet has put in to assemble a Team to keep us in the CCC, Lowe will have sold off the very players that can make that happen ...... a negative spiral will have been started IF Rupert Lowe REALLY wants to put Saints back on an even keel on the pitch, he MUST NOT sell off any player he can get money for. Even the Bank must realise that without a credible Team on the pitch, there will be even less success, therefore even less Support, and even LES money coming in ...... As a BUSINESS, it MUST Attract, NOT Detract What he MUST do, is to allow Poortvliet to consolidate on the Team he has now got If he does that, he will see a "reverse" spiral ..... more consistant results, Saints moving UP the table thus attracting MORE Supporters, which means more Revenue etc etc Unfortunately, however, I know what my money would be on come January 1st .......... Another Lowe Fire Sale, and all Poortvliets work will have been for nothing -
I expect Lowe is trying to pencil in the January Sales of :- Schneiderli Lalana Surman ...... and arranging the Loan of one other "Replacement" ........ ( we already have Pulis & Boyle ............. ........ I can't wait for our meteoric rise up the Table .........
-
The Achilles heel of Lowe's SELL SELL SELL policy, is that all the monies "gained" only go towards paying off the Interest on our Debt ...... NOT reducing the Debt itself ......... treading water at best With Administration, all monies the Administrator(s) "gain" would go towards clearing the Debt itself Yet more well thought out Business logic by Lowelife ......... Sell off all the Team simply to keep the PLC Afloat
-
Why on earth DON'T you believe it ......... I've been saying all along that come January, Lowe will be doing what he is best at ... SELLING ... what's the problem ??? Boyle, Pulis, and a few Loanies will soon get us rocketing up the table ???
-
Very valid point .... Some people STILL do not understand that to Lowe, THE BUSINESSMAN, it matters not one iota HOW MANT people attend St Mary's, come January, Lowe WILL sell any and all players that he can It matters not to him whether or not our Team is starting to gel together, he will have not a second thought in ripping it apart, to get in those Transfer Fees that he loves THAT will leave us even WORSE off than we were, with Poortvliet having to try to piece a Team together from what remains What ( relative ) puny monies are obtained via Sales of our best, will not significantly REDUCE our overal Debt All it will do is make even more "Customers" to stay away from St Mary's, thus reducing our money intake further A wonderful example of Lowe, the visionary Businessman The "vendeta" theory of as to why Lowe was Hell Bent on coming back, gains more creedance by the day
-
I don't see HOW my friend ...... We could have Full Houses at every match, but in itself, it will come nowhere near REDUCING THE DEBTS the Club is amassing by the week .....and that is something that Lowe does not, or will not understand ...... .... He could sell ALL our players in the Janusry Window ..... but that will NOT significantly alter the Clubs Financial State ....... it will only have a detrimental effect on how we perform on the pitch You seem to forget, we are in FREEFALL in the League in addition to the Finances IMHO, a lot of Supporters are curently apathetic, mainly towards the "Leadership" of Lowe & Wilde I firmly believe that if those Two Despots could be ousted, many of those same Supporters would come back, give their support, and "raise" the Team on the pitch .......... It very nearly worked v Wolves
-
The next phase of Lowe's Master Plan now becomes clear ........ .... as from February 1st, our name changes to LOAN RANGERS:)
-
I think you have to ............. " Accentuate the positive Eliminate the negative Go with the affirmative Get rid of Mr In Between " ( couldn't remember all the song words )
-
BAD Business sense in Lowe's opinion ......... WHY BOTHER ????? Lowe will get ALL the money he needs in January, from the Sale of the best of what we have ......... ... THEN .... back to Jan, to try to put another semblance of a Team together Mind you, Stanley, that WAS funny ........ "if Rupert gave something back " ...... hilarious my friend ......... worthy of ANY Pantomime
-
Excellent !! ... he should blend in well with Lowe's Total Football Youth Policy .... and of course be a ready replacement for a Young Star sold off in Lowe's January Cull ............
-
It will make NO difference whether we have 3000 or 30000 at St Mary's Come January, Lowe WILL sell as many of HIS Young starlets as he possibly can, and THEN Jan will have to start afesh by blooding more Academy hopefuls ....... ....... so what price CCC Survival then ??? For those that think the nice Mr Lowe WON'T go on a Selling Spree.......just wait until February 1st before you shout me down
-
A Great read on a Sunday morning ..... The Gospel According to Rev Lowe ... The TWO people that ARE Killing our Club are Reverend Lowe and Judas Wilde Rupert has Big Balls has he ??? .... Krap..... He did not come back for SAINTS, he came back for LOWE, and his own Business Interests However, I agree with you about Poortvliet, he did have his hands tied behind his back from day one ........ because LOWE Sold off EXPERIENCED Pros that should have been Blendeduin with the emerging Youth. I also agree that the Youth that Poortvliet is nurturing, ARE playing good Football, and will, in time, come good. The major question is, of course, will they come good in time to save our CCC status Based on the performance v Wolves, I think they will come good, but only as long as Lowe does not INTERFERE ... the LAST thing we need, one third through the season, is ANOTHER change of Manager KEEP the Manager ............ GET RID OF LOWELIFE AND JUDAS WILDE I can then resume normal Sunday prayers
-
"WE" never let him leave ..... LOWE got rid of him ......... Pearson will NEVER come back whilst Lowe is still at SFC ...... plus of course, Leicester are more than likely to be Promoted, whilst we have a good chance of being Relegated ......
-
Sorry to bang on about this but .... At the time, Lowe knew that he WAS on the way out, because with Wilde aligning agaibst him, THAT swung the Scales against Lowe Therefore he KNEW he would NOT win a voie So, I ask again, WHY does Wilde say that Lowe could INSIST on any thing ??? That's a bit like Hitler, on the last day in the Berlin Bunker telling the Allies " I'll only surrender if you make Goerbals Chancellor."
-
Fair enough .... But, I still do not understand. If Lowe was on his way out, without the Share support of Wilde .... WHY does Wilde say that Lowe was in the position to insist on anything .....He wasn't .....
