Dusan Tadic - DONE DEAL, official and everything
SaintRichmond replied to S-Clarke's topic in The Saints

As they do Schneiderlin They should FFF Off !!!!

Very true C.B. Going from memory From 1986 1990 P7 W3 D3 L1 out on pens in Semi v W Germany 1994 Did Not Qualify 1998 P4 W2 D1 L1 out in last 16 on pens v Argentina 2002 P5 W2 D2 L1 out in quarters v Brazil 2006 P5 W3 D2 L0 out pens quarters to Portugal 2010 P4 W1 D2 L1 out in last 16 v Germany 2014 P3 W0 D1 L2 Failed to get out of the Group stage As you rightly say, Oh for an English only Football League
-
Correct, in those days the No 1 League was called " Division One " By and large, it had the same Big Name teams in it as there are today The biggest difference is that in those days it was the "English" Division One. And in those days we had an England Team worthy of the name Today of course it is mainly for Foreigners, and we don't really compete at National level any more

Which means Lloris wants CL Football How poignant is that ?

Saints reject bid from Cardiff for José Fonte
SaintRichmond replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Well done Les, showing some spheres at last. Our Hero Rejecting a Bid from a CCC Club for a player not in the World Cup It can be done then -

Fair points But the point I was trying to make ( and obviously failed to ) is that irrespective of whatever monies the Players can make elsewhere, they are stating that, in their opinion, SFC no longer has any real Ambition IMHO, Katharinas "Ambition" is nothing like what her Fathers ambition was. Not Cortese's ambition, but Markus Leibherr's ambition THAT was what was sold to the Players, and that is what is no longer in place. Hence the massive dissatisfaction 4 or 5 Players leaving ONE Club in one transfer window is quite unprecedented If people cannot see that SFC is in big big trouble, then I suggest they go to Specsavers
-
No comment as to why you think Lovren made that statement then ?? I didn't make it C.B Lovren did. One of our Players Why do you think he said it ?? Just to waste his breath ?? Or because he was stating the truth about what SFC's (lack) of Future "Ambition" is ??
-
Who coached him throughout his England career ??
-
Why is everybody ignoring the reasons why he even thought about baling out !!! He said: "I signed because the club had great ambition. Cortese and Pochettino convinced me to sign, gave me assurances about the project and incredible confidence, but when the chairman left and Pochettino was going too, as early as April, I realised things had fallen apart. "Honestly, I don’t know who the main man at the club is anymore. I’d gladly stay at Southampton if the club had any ambitions and if they kept the key players – not even the Liverpool bid would have dissuaded me if they had done that." That's the worrying thing. Goes completely right against Reed's waffle. It matters not WHO they go to. The fact is the players WANT to go, to any Club with Ambition
-
Lovren had been quoted in the Croatian paper Sportske " Look, I'd gladly stay at Southampton if the Club had ambition, if they kept the key players " Not me saying this, but one of the players who want to leave. ( So, I expect everybody will call him a ranting lunatic now, eh C.B ?? )

Flaw in my argument ?? What are you on about. I made no argument. Purely observations based on what has already been posted Koeman has spoken to Schneiderlin. Morgan has listened. The outcome is, (according to previous posts by others) that he may stay, if we get some Quality signings Meantime, back at the ranch, Reed has received an offer for Schneidelrin, to date, not accepted. I simply said that it would be amusing if Reed sold him, right at the time Koeman talks him into staying (right hand/left hand) Our transfer kitty does not include anything from the Leibherrs ( even you agreed that point) So, simple question. Where is our transfer kitty coming from ?? We are experiencing strange times at St Marys. Nothing is as straightforward as we might wish I can't recall any other Prem team who have had 5 or 6 of their first team who have said they want "out" at the same time (Is that fact or just another of my lunatic doom prophecies ? )

STILL NO RATIONAL REBUTTAL OF MY OPINIONS I SEE I repeat, I have not made any scenario up. What I have referred to is out there, if you care to look for it. Whether it is true or not, only time will tell Feel free to make a constructive criticism, if you have enough chalk
-
I haven't made any scenarios up CB. Morgan IS thinking about staying. Reed HAS received an offer from Arsenal. I think it would be quite amusing to see Reed accept an offer from Arsenal, on the day that Morgan tells Koeman he will stay. The "monies" I referred to was mooted about some weeks ago. When Koeman was appointed, we were told that he would have a transfer kitty od some £50M I'd just like to know where that was coming from. AS you have so rightly said, it won't be from the Leibherrs (You need to try to wake up in a better mood CB. You must be a barrel of laughs on the school bus )
-
Well, this could be quite comical Koeman tries to talk Morgan into staying, and offers him the captaincy, and assures him new players are in the pipeline Morgan thinks it over, and ends up saying OK At that same time, Sir Les accepts an offer from Arsenal Which will be a classic case of the left arm not knowing what the right one is doing (By the way, this £50M-£100M transfer kitty we are supposed to have, where does that come from ? because NONE of it is coming from the Leibherrs coffers, is it ? )
-
Is this a little dig at Pochetino from Cork?
SaintRichmond replied to Johnny Bognor's topic in The Saints
I think you may be in a minority of one on that one -
As Cortese himself said, you don't progress by selling off your best players. Can't argue against that I will be amazed if we stay up Anyone who truly thinks otherwise is really only looking through SFC glasses
-
Well, we are certainly doing a great job with that aren't we ??
-
The 19 above us at the end of the season for a start
-
Of course it was a dream There are 20 Teams in the Prem Discount the Top 4, as they have Qualified for the CL Of the rest, ALL have players with Ambition, ambition to play in the CL if possible Out of those, Saints are unique, We not only have Players that want to play in the CL, OURS are making damn sure they will play in the CL. THEY ARE LEAVING To date, I cannot see any other of the other Prem Teams whose Players are queing up to leave their Club, I wonder why that is ?? Perhaps they are not interested in the CL Yet we have FIVE Players out of last seasons First Team who will be departing Doesn't anyone else not think that that Ratio, compared to other Prem Teams, is somewhat excessive.?? Perhaps they all thought that Saints were being guided towards CL Qualification ?? Surely not ?? No, it must be some other reason for the Exodus
-
He was the only player they could find that was still at the Club (at time of posting this of course )

Appalling show of commitment from our players
SaintRichmond replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
Shouldn't this thread be titled "Appalling Show Of Reversal Of Committment by Saints Owner and Board " lead to the Mass Exodus of Manager Pochettino, and Players Shaw, Lallana, Lovren, Schneiderlin (plus Ramirez and Osvaldo ) ??? Still, absolutely NOTHING is wrong, according to many on here -
