I know this will sound naive and I am happy to sound it because I'd rather be in such a state, but do people genuinely have kids just to get more benefits? Seemingly so, but totally saddening.

I had a pitch booked for this Saturday at The Garrison Ground Winchester as it was one of few places still with their goals up. However, they've now cancelled on us due to some festival or whatever. I've tried my usual fallback plans, such as the leisure centres in Southampton and although the goals are still up they say they're moving to cricket and so we cannot book a pitch. Tempted to use them anyway if goals are still up when I check Friday night, but would much rather have an official pitch booked. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of a pitch within the Southampton area that still has its goals up and available to book? Thanks in advance, Jordan

I think you have got off lightly Bearsy! Imagine if you were trying to give her the boot and she thought "bell you later" meant that you were actually going to put your bell in her later! You would have had to as an honourable bear!

Fairly certain this link also involved a Southampton and a Qingdao local private school, which still exists, so it has outlived the club's link!

Would like to have just one bit of input on this thread: I don't understand some people's view that we should send young/promising players out on loan; we've got the excellent facilities and great youth set-up, we've got the development team specifically brought in for younger players to rub shoulders with experience and we want them to be as close to the first team as possible. It hasn't been our nature to loan out players young and likely to make the first team for a while now. The players we have loaned out under Liebherr ownership are ones not good enough for the first team. If we are "modelling ourselves on Barcelona" it's worth noting they don't loan out their young players, they want control of what they're doing and who they are playing with. I fully expect us to be the same. If we're loaning players our it is because they're not needed and we're putting them in the window.
