Club travel to the game tomorrow
MINIBARCELONASAINT replied to MINIBARCELONASAINT's topic in The Saints
Thanks for the answers And yeah, the pricing was very reasonable. £25.00 for travel, £10.00 for game. Train was impossible/best part of £100 alone. -
I'm getting on the coach the club are providing from St. Mary's tomorrow and had a few questions if anyone is knowledgeable on these things: 1. Coach leaves SMS at 1215 tomorrow, what time do you expect it'll arrive at Bramall Lane? 2. If there's no extra time, what time do you imagine it'll get back? 3. Does it stop on the way at all? 4. Are you allowed to take food and drink (alcohol or not) on the coach? 5. Are there power sockets? Sorry for so many questions and thanks in advance

Rickie, Adam and J-Rod in England squad

I hope this doesn't filter down to Saturday mornings too soon or my career is over -
At club level, the highest number of club-trained players was recorded at Barcelona (7.2). In three other teams, club-trained footballers accounted for the majority of players fielded: Athletic Bilbao, Real Sociedad and Olympique Lyonnais. Saints were second behind Arsenal in the Premier League, with Chambers and Gallagher on the bench. Sociedad made it to the CL this season, so inspiration can be drawn from there! Hi, I'm three quarters the way through Fergie's autobiography at the moment, with Harry's next on the reading list and was wondering how many Saints managers and players, past and present, also have an autobiography? I'm aware of Taking Le Tiss and obviously Harry just about comes under the category of Ex-Saint, but are there others out there that you'd recommend reading? I read a lot of Sports Psychology books and books on Nature v Nurture, Talent v Practice etc as well as ones more specific to football such as Soccernomics & The Numbers Game. I'm enjoying Fergie's book at would recommend the read and I'm looking forward to Harry's regardless of his status in Southampton! My current reading list is: My Autobiography - Sir Alex Ferguson Always Managing - Harry Redknapp I am the Secret Footballer I am Zlatan Ibrahimovic Thanks in advance

They should impose a dress code. Turkish could collaborate with the club to produce it.

Something for the kids this half-term holiday!
MINIBARCELONASAINT replied to MINIBARCELONASAINT's topic in The Lounge
I can't reveal who the ExSaints player is as it is currently part of our competition for a place on the course: https://www.facebook.com/ForwardDriveCoaching/posts/510362442386962 But will do so later this week -
Hi everyone, I posted in here a while back about the coaching company I am involved in, Forward Drive, and now as the October half term holidays are coming up, I thought I'd post again regarding the half term football fun week we are running. The October Football Course will run from Monday 28th October to Friday 1st November, from 9:00am – 3:00pm. Morning Sessions are 9:00am -12:00 Midday and Afternoon sessions are 12:30pm -3:00pm. Each session costs £10 individually or £18 for a full day. The Working in age based groups, the children will learn new skills and tricks, compete in exciting competitions to win certificates and play a wide variety of innovative and fun mini games, all of which are FA accredited and delivered by our FA Licensed coaches. With innovative drills including the Bayern Cup and Ajax Cup, which our lead coach brings with him from his time coaching in Germany, the kids are guaranteed to have fun. Each day a Player of the Day will be chosen across the age-defined groups, culminating in an Awards Ceremony at the end of the week at which several awards will be presented, including The Forward Drive Footballer of the Week, by an Ex-Saints player! I'll be leading the course for the week - my normal job is a PE Teacher in a Southampton Primary school, so I like to keep busy in the holidays! We already have strong numbers for every day on the course and with an ExSaints player doing our end of week presentation as well as taking a session it will be an excellent week. http://www.forwarddrivecoaching.com/CoachingCourses/october-football-course-2/ Thanks, MiniB

Yup, particularly Team Management. I'm currently playing career mode with Saints on World Class. In my second season. First season I signed, Victor Andrade, Allione, Cardozo, Dursin and Bakkali with the £8.5m they gave me to spend, plus £4.1m I got for Rickie Lambert. I played 433 for the majority of the season: --------------Boruc---------------- Clyne-----Fonte---Lovren-----Shaw -------Wanyama--Schneiderlin----- Bakkali---Ramirez/Allione-----Lallana -------------Osvaldo-------------- I got to the quarter finals of both cups, finding that the games got tougher the further I progressed. I also found this in the last 8 or so league games. The AI just seemed harder; maybe it was psychological. Anyway, I won the PL on the last day of the season. I was 2 points behind United going into the last game, which was against them. I was 3-2 down in the 89th minute. Lallana teared down the left wing and forced a corner, which Lovren headed in to equalise. Straight from kick-off Bakkali pressured Kagawa who had received the ball wide left, won it off of him and slotted in Osvaldo one on one with de Gea. The 'keeper made some kind of worldy save but Lallana was on hand to tap in the winner in the 93rd minute to win me the league. This got me £13.5m. The board gave me a budget of £100k for wages and £20m to spend. I sold Lallana for £12.5m to Newcastle and Osvaldo to Barcelona for £11.5m. I also sold most of the reserves. Notable signings were Benteke for £8m plus Gaston and Lukaku for £15m. Begovic arrived on a free. I now line-up in a 424 formation. ----------------------Begovic 83------------------------- Clyne 77-----Lovren 81----------Dier 77----------Shaw 73 --------------Wanyama 79--Schneiderlin 81-------------- Bakkali 79------Lukaku 78----Benteke 86------Osvaldo* 77 Rekik 73 Goretzka 75 JWP 75 Mayuka 76 Maher 77 Meyer 70 Depay 73 * This is the Brazilian Osvaldo from Sao Paulo. Shaw plays better than his rating, but seemingly is progressing slowly. Word of advice, sign Bakkali straight away for £3.5m and also Elber from Cruziero. His price jumped from £900k to £19m from season 1 to 2.

Quite the contrary, I want to see them with a matching tattoo that bonds them together

Full league cup fourth round draw
MINIBARCELONASAINT replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Does anyone have an inkling as to what the club travel would be like - cost, time, even likely to offer? I'd be up for going if travel plus ticket didn't top £50ish. -
I like Zen and Buon Gusto

Hi guys, The side I run is looking for a strong centre-back to join the side for the current season. We play our home games in Winchester and the majority of our away games are at Fleming Park. We've just reached the top division of 3 following back-to-back promotions two years after forming, and the players we've lost along the way to parenthood etc are defenders! If you're interested in playing for us, comment below. MiniB

Can we accommodate SRL & Osvaldo in the same team?
MINIBARCELONASAINT replied to doggface's topic in The Saints
Yes we can. It doesn't come down to how many minutes of football we have seen of them playing together either, it comes down to the manager. It is the failing of a manager if two strikers are seen as unable to play together.
