Nope. If we’re going to play your unrelated name guessing game in the middle of this, I’m going to go by your avatar and take a stab that you might be Richard Spencer?

The irony of suggesting that racism doesn’t exist unless a white person - assuming that is what you are and what you’re suggesting - sees it to verify it is pretty extraordinary. Bigotry of any sort is ridiculous, you can’t tell someone they haven’t been subjected to it if they feel that they have. The examples I’ve seen have been pretty well covered in the press, including some pretty nasty events in non-league which I do happen to have witnessed first hand. Is that not example enough that more should be done about it? Regardless of whether it was at a game that you or I attended? I apologise for picking on your comment, there are a number of views expressed in this thread that I don’t happen to agree with but it is a subject I find it difficult not to chime in on. I’m sure I’ve already been pegged by some as a snowflake and that’s fine with me

Yeah, I’m sure Vince Hilaire, Paul Canoville, John Barnes etc. certainly must do...
  4. I’m with you - the route to success was to put the ball in the air for tiny Shane Long against the giant Sol Bamba. Hopefully Ralph will get them working on that in Tenerife
  5. https://www.tipsbladet.dk/nyhed/benelux/joakim-maehle-afviser-transfer-ville-vaere-dumt-forlade-holdet Would be a bit of a turnaround based on this article - I’m sure it says it would be ‘dumt’ (stupid?) to leave the team now, and he will not be part of a transfer - we have a big opportunity to do something beautiful - so my focus is ‘udelukkende’ (?) on Genk May not mean anything in this day and age, but he doesn’t sound like he’s in a rush to leave
  6. This. Forever grateful to him for keeping us up, and he should never pay for a pint in Southampton again, but there would have been mutiny if his name had been mentioned as manager at the start of the season. Maybe not Rodgers even, but with a hearty handshake and a glowing reference I’d rather we looked elsewhere - for fear of going down the Poyet/di Canio/Sunderland route
  7. Yeah, if only those that don’t speak English had some other way of communicating, of course we know that there isn’t any. Sadly, fact is that he will never be able to express his wishes to us Saints fans, ever. Maybe a crude drawing of the FA Cup or something, but that will be it
  8. The most important thing to come out of today was the pre-season knee-jerk warmup. Great practice ahead of the season opener for people to base their entire opinion of the club and everyone in it on a poor throw in, and to make it very clear that they had already told everyone something would happen long before it happened, with added emphasis on being right more than anyone else. Hopefully the forum will stick with this lineup for the season, although there is probably a hilarious line to be had about Liverpool's forum pinching our best posters!!1!11!11!!1!
  9. The highlight for me was Frannie's header
  10. So proud and so sad. No other way to sum it up
  11. Moan moan moan ****ing moan
  12. Whereas trolling every decision ever made makes you some sort of internet hero? I salute you. I appear, however, to only be able to use one finger
  13. can you point out where you've pointed that out?
  14. I think you've confused me with someone that trawls the internet, trying to prove futile points
  15. Listen, if they haven't completed the mandatory forum posts having been punched then it's their lookout, guv. I sure as hell don't think it happened given they haven't posted on an internet forum about it. Must have formed a large part of their defence during the hearing, I would imagine
  16. Nothing worse than innocently having a drink, innocently punching someone in the face and innocently throwing a chair at someone, and then The Man has to intervene. Blah blah something about Isis something something!
  17. Does the rest let them down because they've voiced their opinion? That is, after all, the basic concept of a football forum. Unless, y'know, you don't like someone else's opinion. At that point, any old guff is fine
  18. Thought we did exactly what we needed to do today, wasn't at all flashy but controlled the game and didn't really look like conceding. VVD MOTM - no-one was exceptional, but as the away team today that was nigh-on perfect
  19. Millwall away, closely followed by Skates at home in the cup
  20. Fantastic from Long tonight, no other word for it. Targett looked really good, great delivery into the box. Deeney couldn't shake VVD, was in his pocket all night. An on-song Mane and we could have had 4 or 5. Great performance against a poor Watford. Thoroughly deserved result, by far the better team and the sort of performance that makes you think we should be capable of stringing a few results together now
  21. Yeah, I hate Saints too. What a bunch of melts. The performance on the pitch is a helluva lot better than the hand-wringing on here
  22. Not a great performance, but can't moan at 3-0. Wanyama was good, Cedric looks very useful and Targett looked pretty comfortable but I've got a soft spot for Yoshida. Looked at home against reserved opposition
  23. We were awful. We had the wrong setup from the start, and didn't make enough of our opportunities when they did come along. Pelle is far, far off the pace at the moment. We don't look like the free-scoring team we were earlier in the season, and Europe is looking less and less likely. WBA took the three points, we got nothing and probably deserved nothing. However - I'd still rather lose under Koeman than win under Pulis. We're not doing much wrong, it shouldn't take much to get us scoring again, whereas WBA fans have to watch that desperate version of football each week. Time-wasting after 15 minutes at home - keeper booked after an hour for time wasting. We were bad, we have room for improvement. Think what we saw today was as good as it gets for them
  24. I'll have 71:01-72:00 please, if it's still going?
  25. Racing Post have us finishing 11th. They also highlight Tadic as one of the best buys of pre-season so far, though they're not as complimentary about Pelle
