supposedly Sheff Weds and Celtic are interested in taking him on loan as well - so he will probably end up at one of those two as they've probably got more cash then us also the story seems to have disappeared from the Daily Mail website as well now
-
forget to say because they have just signed Silvestre!

Arsenal are thinking about sending Johan Djourou out on loan to Rennes - a 21 year old central defender - plays for Switzerland maybe we should take a look at him

In the Daily Mail tomorrow it says we are getting defender Jack Cork on loan from Chelsea: "Chelsea are also on the verge of signing attacking midfielder Fabio Paim on a season-long loan from Sporting Lisbon and have loaned out former England Under 18 captain Jack Cork to Southampton until January 1." Wikipedia says: Jack Cork (born June 25, 1989) is a footballer currently contracted to Chelsea who spent the 2007/08 season on loan at S****horpe United. During the 2006-07 season he twice went on loan to Bournemouth. Cork is a versatile defender who can play anywhere across the back and can also play in the holding midfield role. He has also represented England at youth level, recently making his Under 19 debut against the Czech Republic[1], and has captained the Chelsea youth team. He has been at the club since the age of nine.[1] Lets see if its true!

let hope he doesn't join us - the last thing we needed was another midfielder I'd rather we got a right back or left back and let Lloyd James and Andrew Surman play in their proper positions - midfield And at 24 (?) and still unproven it doesn't suggested he's any goog plus he's Tony Pulis' son and a Skate to boot! he will become the boo boy for all these reasons

could mean BWP and/or John as off as well if we are talking about a new striker - although saying that we need one anyway with pace and power to make the darting runs down the channels and feed-off the through balls from Lallana I expect it will be a loan from a Premier team - Jay Simpson from Arsenal for example - or a cheap buy from lower league Holland As for a defender could this be the loan return of Baird from Fulham!? Personally I would have got rid of BWP, Dyer, John and Rasiak and kept Saga but there you go - that's football!

The role of Dave Jones (not the Cardiff one) in all this mess
Rebel replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Both Lowe and Hone - his two MDs/CEOs before Hoos were basically tyrants - they didn't listen to anyone and wanted total control of everything Jones - like Hoos, Oldknow and Cowan was simply a yes man all failed to do their jobs properly - speak up when necessary or listen to others when the time was right to do so -
Watch the panic to get Skacel and Euell involved unfold first-hand

can you just shoot yourself and get it over and done with -
if people are talking about Fulthorpe and Co he hasn't got the money himself and hasn't found any backers who have

In the first half we played some great fooball and probably should have scored 2 or 3 goals. Brum City looked a bit shocked by our passing and movement and didn't really know what to do about it second half most of the young players ran out of steam and the older players (Perry and Killer) legs went Birmingham brought on Bent and Jerome and overran our defense both Surman and James were great going forward - but James in particular has a lot to learn about playing at right back the 4 best ball players on the pitch (Gillett, Schneiderlin, Lallana and Surman) were all in red and white stripes however we had nothing on the bench unlike Brum (where were Dyer and BWP?) As for Stern John he was off the pace today, playing a different beat and on a different wavelength to the youngsters his hold up play broke the rythm for a start and he kept laying the ball of to no one - and his pace and movement (as usual) just weren't there he also missed a free header! we need two full backs (two allow James and Surman to play in midfield) and a centre forward with pace

if anyone offers £3 million - or even £1 million take the money and run I say!
-
it's a bit of a surprise he's joining Watford really if its true as he not exactly going to fit their long ball 'hoof it' style he may move about a bit - but he's slow doing it and he's not exactly dominant in the air either is he - or aggressive enough to lead their line although immobile I would have thought John would have suited their style better (although I still expect him to end up at Stoke or Hull on loan once they realise they can't sign anyone else) then again he's not great in the air either!
-
I think Wotton will play at centre back at times this season - one of the reasons we signed him is that he can cover all along the back 4 and in central midfield Thomas et al are almost certainly being left out to prevent them being cup tied we just can't afford to pay their wages for any longer than we have to
-
so up to 1.5 million euros - so probably a couple of hundred thousand £s up front an 18 year old French international recommended by Georges Prost to us and us to him signed a 4 year deal will more than likely be sold to a bigger club in the premiership in a season or two for a lot more money than that sounds like a great deal to me certainly a far cry from the Rasiak, Euell, John, Skacel, Viafara and Saganowski deals then
-
I would imagine Thomas, Rasiak, Euell, Skacel, John are all being kept out of the starting line up so they are not cup tied for any potential buyers/takers I would also imagine that more than one of them is currently in negotiations with another club

the more people who claim to be ITK and talk about it or post it on here the less likely it is to ever happen - or in other words even be true for one thing if a bidder is serious they'll just get on with it - not waste time talking to people who's only claim to fame is being a saints fan perhaps if these people were well placed city lawyers, chartered accountants or London bankers who were likely to be involved you could believe them - but then they'd be too professional to talk about it in the first place (or should be) - so if they do say anything there are probably pulling your leg anyway why would any real bidder even talk to all these supposed ITK people anyway - we are talking about small local office workers, teachers, van drivers and factory workers for the most part here - what good would it do? ignoring all that if some of stories I've heard in the past are to be believed it was the so called ITKs and their postings on messageboards and emails and phonecalls to potential bidders that scared them anyway I've met too many Saints fans who claim to know this person or that person, this player or that - but when it came to getting a shirt signed - or a player to turn up for something or someone to actually prove something it was all just hot air being briefed by someone with an agenda (Oldknow or Crouch anyone) for their own purposes just doesn't count! so if its true give it up and just let it happen without your input (its not needed) and if its not true just give it a rest this time Fulthorpe has already made himself look stupid once - he doesn't need your help to do it again and the Shearer rumour itself is enough to make any sane man think its nothing but another wind up for the first time in a long time Saints seem to have a plan both on and off the pitch - and some idea about what we are actually trying to do as a club unless someome serious is going to put £50 million + into the club as a starting point (and that's what it will take) its just moving deckchairs around on the titanic and if they are they won't need anyone on heres help! so lets just leave it alone shall we

give it a rest with all the takeover rumours its just more of the same old rubbish people wanting to look like movers and shakers people wanting to be in the know
