If Poch was lined up to come here I would be ready to thank Ralph with a good farewell chq but apart from Poch there is no one I know of that I would prefer---imagine the likes of Fat Sam or any of the guys who have already been sacked multiple times and go round and round the circuit. Be careful what you wish for!

I've never seen a performance like last night. it was terrible and against a really weak team.
-
yes we've got a problem in midfield but nothing like as big as our problem up front--no shots on goal and no one who can win a header if we do get as cross in. Suddenly our defence is our strongest part---so that is progress
-
The new signings will come good. Settling into new team and new League is never easy. The question in my mind is whether this manager is capable of blending them--no sign of it last night. What is Poch doing? These youngsters would love his style

The problem wasn't the leadership on the field , the problem was that they played as if they had never seen each other before. No one knew where to pass it and when they did pass it, it was passed straight back to them. The problem was preparation off the field followed by maximum confusion when they got on the field. Well, that's what it looked like to me. JWP looked as confused as any of them.

Well, Lambert, Lovren, Van Dyke, Lallana, Mane and Clyne all went there within two years. Sounds like a very hot connection to me. I really hope it's gone cold
-
Shaw gets outpaced by a beetle these days
-
I really hope not--anyone but Liverpool! Maybe Man City is the new connection. I wouldn't mind that so much because they are also providing for us.

Great to know we have such a line up available this season, and mostly so young! Owners Management team has done well
-
It could be ABK is now better than Van Dyke who is showing signs of decline. I wonder if , under this ownership and management team, top players will be less inclined to move on
-
He should take it because he would get the sack just about the time we will have a vacancy--perfect!
-
Hugh Fisher
-
All this is entirely sensible which is why it will never happen
-
Hope not

This guy is never happy, I'm really sorry for him
-
Please forget Broja
-
The renewal in this window meant it was time to move some on and make space for younger ones. I am pleased Djeneppo has survived the cull. He's light weight and injury prone and was rubbished a year ago but he's got a great attitude, It's taken a while to come good but he's achieved a lot in different roles.
-
No No No We are building a new team but we are building it around him. And Broja is over rated and would only be on the bench most of the time whereas JWP gives us a few thousand minutes every year
-
WE wanted a striker and have been linked with a lot and I got excited even if it was only rumours. Now it seems we haven't got one and I'm not as disappointed as I would have been in the past because there is obviously clear method and ambition in the recruitment which has been amazing. The whole structure is stronger and the strikers we've got will have more opportunity--watch them pile on the pressure. COYR
-
We've got an entirely different scouting and recruitment system now and it seems to be a very good one
-
Well said, they have earned our trust
-
You're right but we have nut cases on this forum who will criticise management and players whatever happens, must be very unhappy people
-
He doesn't strike me as having the sort of professional attitude which we need for our group of talented youngsters, hope we avoid him
-
We take JWP for granted now. The interest and excitement is on the new players. Doesn't mean JWP is any less influential in the play.

Not sure Broja combines with anyone
