Is Wood injured?
-
Missed the boat? Strange thing to say when we've just broken the Club record with eleven consecutive wins, what is necessary to make these people happy? Think you've missed the bus mate
-
Players you'd love to see at SMS but will never sign...

Bale Walcott Oakley Crouch Jones Oxo would be a good start -
Sadly, his loyalty doesn't extend to the present regime which is really disappointing for such a magnificent and unique player who gave such pleasure and saved us so many times; now we have new saviours and he needs to recognise that and rejoice in their success instead of carping from the sidelines because its not his scheme that did it
-
Funny thing is he's more likely to get in this Arsenal team than he would be to get in ours
-
Well said that man! It's the common sense which has been entirely lacking
-
Leave it til January, Ihope. the present lot are doing brilliantly
-
What the hell do we want Katich for? Another looking for a last payday. It must demoralise our own players
-
The chairman is star-struck, he loves big names and can't be bothered with local talent. Watching the tired old men and the mercenaries this season has been tedious and frustrating, if we lose the youngsters it will be the management's fault, they are only interested in the glitz (20/20) and nothing else, as that's where the money comes to pay the mercenaries that's not surprising
-
And to tink we gave them long contracts when we were heading for admin, meant to be doing things on the cheap and couldn't afford to keep our own Drew Surman
-
No need to wait 5 years to talk of NA and LM, incidentally their styles were completely different: the showman signing big names and the quiet man looking for youngsters to fit on the bus
-
Interesting the two wins have been under Jimmy Adams captaincy, a sign of things to come (I hope)
-
High ego, high wages and disruptive, the very opposite of everything NA and NC are building: no thank you, not as a gift.
-
The tough sentences would be in order if the cheating MPs had been treated similarly but they were treated with kid gloves, only about 3 ened in clink and they had cheated ££££££££££££thousands
-
A pity because its not the style NA is building or the reputation we want, maybe its good to have him out of the reckoning for a while
-
We don't need Foster, Jimmy Adams is the obvious captain and Bates the obvious wicky asnd if we look elsewhere it's another betrayal of the home grown talent
-
I remember that Charlton match, before it began Lawrie McM came on the pitch and appealed for everyone to put their hand in their pocket to save the Club, we'd just paid to get in to see that dross, I wondered how much he put it, and he hadn't paid to get in, I went off him at that point
-
Legend for ever, yes, greatest goals ever seen at the Dell, yes, but have to admit his performance off the field the Pinnacle fiasco and all that followed haven't matched his performance on the field which is a shame
-
Don't see why we need him or any other forwards, we're overflowing already
-
It's just as well to have it sorted and know where we are, now we can concentrate on the job of winning and not on all the specualation and worry which takes energy from management fans and team. But I will miss him and reckon he is star quality, if Torres was £50m the £12 is dead cheap he'll be worth more than Torres before long.
-
If he goes to Arsenal won't he be competing with Theo? If so Theo will be the loser because this guy is stronger and got more savvy but infact they'll both be losers because Arsenal are in decline and we'll win something before they do.
-
The idea of 'loaning out to get games' may not help him or other Saints players, we are building a particular squad ethos and we want people who are on the bus to stay on the bus and not be led a different direction somewhere else
-
Not what we're looking for, in fact we're not looking for much and the Janusry sales will be the time to tidy a few things up if necessary
-
Yes, all sounds sensible and hopeful until foreign launderers invade the Championship too, led by the Thai magnate, Erikson and Leicester
-
It isn't new, tho' its got a lot more intense because of 'Arry and our relegation and their promotion and corruption and all that misery but I used to go by train to Fratton to see most Pompey home matches always to cheer the away side and I had to wait two years before anyone beat them (it was Wolves), I'm talking about the first years after the war when they won the first division title. It was horrible. But isn't the original rivalry all to do with who rules the waves? Pompey was the naval base (Nelson and Victory and all that) and then we came along with the Cunard liners, the Queens and Pompey no longer ruled the waves and we were called 'The Gateway to the Empire'. How's that for a theory?
