Hasn't he signed some sort of agreement with us already? Plus, he he seems to be on the verge of the first team here already (On the bench earlier in the season). Would be stupid to move at this point in his development in my opinion...
-
No denying the lad's talent and ability with a football, but his application and attitude seem to be lacking at times. The sort of player that needs an arm round his shoulder rather than making him an outcast which seems to be the case here. If Holloway gets the best out of him, you will have a great player on your hands. Best of luck!

Jesus, how is Harding winning the poll? If we make it up to The Championship, in my opinion he would be the first person we would need to shift out. It would be a case of thank you for your service, you played well at times, but you're not good enough for this league. I would rather have Dickson and Mills as the left back options, in The Championship too...
-
Dickson. Every time. Harding is great going forward but is so positionally inept it is untrue. I felt that both last season and this season he was at fault for a number of goals due to him being dragged out of position. He also gives away needless, silly fouls in dangerous areas of the pitch too. Dickson is a far better all round player, as yesterday's performance highlighted.

Fortunately for us I wasn't Lino then!

I agree with the majority of the comments on here. I was also in the Dagger's end and I made Guly my MOM. Dagenham should have had a stonewall penalty though, and the ball did look as though it crossed the line from the free kick, and I also thought Ricky was offside for his goal. Saying that, we totally dominated the game and it would have been farcical had we not taken all 3 points. The biggest highlight for me today was the battling spirit that we showed. We all know we have got technically gifted players in the team who can win games for us, but those players also showed a lot of mettle today too. Special mention to Guly for that. These are generally the sort of games where we would have previously not put in a good performance and lost, so I was very pleased in that respect. My only disappointment was Chaplow today. He did a couple of nice passes here or there, but I think the game largely passed him by. I can see the reasoning behind starting him ahead of Morgan for a game like this, but he struggled. Morgan had just been regaining some sort of form in the last 2 games as well. Great atmosphere, and fantastic support from the Saints fans that I could hear from the other stand. All in all a great day out! COYRs!

Cool, I think I will give it a go then. Cheers for the advice...

Anyone know if it is all ticket on the day? Can't find anything on their website. I wouldn't mind turning up on the day and getting a ticket in the Daggers end too...
-
4 more heading up from London non the day. St. Pancras to Nottingham and staying over. I didn't book the hotel, so I haven't a clue what to expect...
-
I tweeted official Saints and we have sold 856 tickets so far. Come on fellow fans, let's break the 1,000 barrier again, like we did for the Sheff Wed game and give the lads a great backing! COYR's!!

Oh, as well as the Station pub for real ale The Star on Albert Street (10 mins walk from town centre) has a great selection of guest beers too. http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/42/4247/Star_Inn/Lockwood

I am a Saint living in London, but I am not technically part of the London Saints. I live with two other Saints too, but they don't post on here...

I am going. Sitting in the Saints End. My Dad is a Town fan (Hudders' being my second team) and he is sitting in the home end. Saints are his 2nd team and he will be supporting Saints against Bournemouth at St. Mary's this Saturday. I made him sit in the Town end at St. Mary's when we thrashed them 5-0 last season. He wasn't too happy then I can tell you! Some really nice boozers with good ales etc

I thought Puncheon wasn't great, but I thought Harding was by far the worst player on the pitch, and for once Pardew did well with his substitution. He was dragged out of position on numerous occasions. Although, this wasn't helped by Fonte having probably his worst game in a Saints shirt. Mills to start left back tomorrow night please!
-
Me & two (possibly 3) other London based Saints fans are heading up too. Probably be at The Mitre beforehand if anyone fancies saying hello...

Nick Halling, Ed Chamberlain and London Saints...
ManorHouseSaint replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
In Southfields now, but was near Finsbury Park (hence my name!). I work in 'ammersmiff and live with 2 other Saints fans and know of at least 3 other Saints in Streatham, Camberwell and Elephant & Castle. Could probably get a decent London Saints XI for playing games... -
I can't actually believe how YOU have reacted. Get over yourself...He's French. He wants the French to beat the English. He plays for an English club and is the only Frenchman there. Siege mentality, non? As others have said, if you can't give or take that sort of banter what is the point? Jesus... I indirectly pay part of his wages through my season ticket sale, and I could not care less that he wants us out of the tournament. Just calm down... Talk about making a Himalayan Range out of an ant hill...

I love Ceefax! Sadly, it is getting switched off in the very near future. I remember watching the scores update on there on a Saturday afternoon when I was a kid. Great times...

Wotton is by no means a whipping boy. I have been to the last 2 games where he started both and we conceded 3 goals and scored none. He then gets taken off and we score 5! Coincidence? Hmmm, I think not. People say he is a steady influence, or protects the back four well. In my opinion, this is nonsense. He was absolutely appalling once again yesterday. At the end of the day he is a woeful footballer and should not be playing at this level. If we realistically want to climb this tough league then we cannot carry anyone, and currently we are when he plays. We either need to change formation and keep the 442 with the ever improving David Connelly (in terms of fitness and general play) and I would drop Wotton or just replace him with someone else in the 451. I honestly cannot see that he brings anything to the team, in fact I believe that having him in the team is very much detrimental. I would never boo Wotton, or any other Saints player for that matter. Wotton doesn't mean to be rubbish, he tries his hardest. But his best is not good enough, and it is up to Pardew to deal with this issue. When he has (subbing him) it has lead us into gaining 4 points, from having none when he was on the pitch. You may have a point about Telfer and Delap etc being unnecessarily singled out for abuse, but I believe that Wotton hasn't been singled out. The negative comments have purely been down to his inept performances in the Saints shirt. Nothing more, nothing less.

True, the last few games they have been picked together obviously. I'm talking specifically about a situation of either/or. Where I really don't see where there is a choice to make. I have to disagree with you about him shielding the back 4 against MK Dons. I thought that Dean and Morgan had to cover double the amount of ground due to his ineffectiveness. He did a couple of his now classic over the shoulder hoofs to anywhere. Yes, sometimes that is needed in desperate defensive circumstances, but doing it nearly everytime, particualrly when you are near the half way line is just criminal. He wastes possession with being inept and a poor passer of the ball. How someone like Oscar Gobern isn't even picked ahead of him is beyond me (instead letting him go on loan to a League 1 rival). I don't like having a go at Wotton, because he seems like a genuine, decent pro. But I think that he is detrimental to the team (Yes, I know that we have won the last 3-4 games with him in the team). When we come up against a decent team (MK Dons certainly weren't that)Leeds etc we will get found out, as it is almost like playing with 10 men at times.
-
Funny how people are still putting Wotton in their teams. Surely Spiderman should be ahead of him? By at least 4 country miles... It is no coincidence, I believe, that when Pardew took off Wotton and Waigo and put on Connelly and Antonio it completely changed the game - ending with us winning quite comfortably. I know that I sound like a broken record, but I have stated this numerous times before. Wotton is an awful footballer. To me, that is fact (obviously my opinion too). He was anonymous again last Saturday, hence Pardew taking him off (I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't Morgan substituted as per usual). When will people learn that shouting a bit and pointing isn't really enough in the modern game? Not even in League 1. Hammond will be missed if he doesn't play, as he has been a great ball winner in the games I have seen him this season. Someone who actually gets stuck in without giving too many freekicks away, and wins the ball fairly and cleanly. Mellis will be good offensively, but defensively he seems to be lacking the bottle to challenge (most of the time). Fingers crossed for Dean's recovery...

A final, final 150 tickets are going to be put on sale on Tuesday morning at 9am according to the Official Twitter page. All those how missed out, get on those phones and the website early doors! COYR!

How people can put Schneiderlin and Wotton in the same sentence is beyond me...Wotton is perhaps one of the worst players I have ever seen pull on the red and white. (and before people start answering back with the scape goat theory, to me that is redundant. I just don't think he is very good). He might get stuck in and all that. But he is an awful footballer. Morgan can play either offensively or defensively. Whatever formation you play, Morgan has to be in ahead of Wotton. To me it is a no brainer.

Go for the home end mate. It would be great to if it could be like Loftus Road was a couple of years ago, when there were another 100 or so Saints fans (including myself and a few mates) in their home end. Sitting on our hands, and trying not to bring attention to ourselves...until the second goal went in! Should be a cracking day out. Never been to Brisbane Road, but I have ominously good feelings about how this will go! COYR!
-
Hmmm...Let me think. Neither. I agree that midfield cover is essential, particularly when faced with 2 on 1. But if you couldn't see that Harding was getting dragged centrally you must be watching different games to me. Anyway, I'm not going to get into more petty squabbling with regard to this. We will have to agree to disagree.
