  1. Defector's Weld is a great boozer. Unfortunately that and Green's next to it are home supporters only pubs on QPR match days. The Queen Adeleide is a good boozer (if slightly upmarket) which is further along Uxbridge Road. There is also the Walkabout and O'Neill's right nearby Shepherd's Bush Empire venue. Slightly further afield, there are good boozers in Brook Green and on Shepherd's Bush Road. The White Horse is also a home supporters only pub supposedly, but they let us in there last time I went to Loftus Road.
  2. Andrei Peryplyotkin...
  3. I rate Reeves as a footballer, and I thought he didn't look out of place at all in his cameo on Saturday. Every time I have seen him play he has performed well (both offensively and defensively). I would be more than happy for him to play on Saturday at left back with Clyne returning to right back.
  4. I was in the home end. My Gooner mate got me a ticket. It was 90 minutes of pure hell, with him sat beside me. I was so demoralised, I only flinched when Fox scored. I had my head in my hands most of the time which possibly gave the game away somewhat...
  5. I used to live on Hermitage Road and regularly went to The Salisbury. Such a great boozer. The Old Dairy and Fullback are fantastic too. Miss the N4 area. I now live in the tedious, if pleasant suburbia of Southfields! I will be at the game though. Unfortunately in the Gooner's End too...
  6. I just hope he doesn't get a ticking off from NC for alluding to it on Twitter! Ha! It has to be on the Official website first...
  7. He has undoubtedly struggled this season with injuries, but definitely has the ability. Bennett has put in a pretty decent shift in his absence and been rewarded for that. Hudders are my 2nd team and have seen them on several occasions so I am more likely to have an informed view on this subject...
  8. The sort of players I would be aiming for, even if some maybe slightly beyond us are; Jay Rodriguez, Matt Phillips, Gylfi Sigurdsson (surely we can financially out muscle Swansea?), Alex Smithies, Nathaniel Clyne and James Tomkins (if WHU don't go up). Young, hungry and something to prove in The Premier League. That's what Norwich and Swansea attempted to do, and for the most part worked.
  9. Alex Smithies
  10. I know we haven't completely sold our allocation out, but can anyone confirm if you can buy on the day up there? May make a last minute decision to go tomorrow morning (depending on hangover). Thanks in advance...
  11. You have 2 spare tickets?
  12. If anyone has any last minute spare tickets for the game, please give me a shout. I am after 2 if possible. It may be easier to contact me on Twitter. My username is ThePrester on there. Thanks!
  13. Played a few times on loan for Huddersfield, while still on Everton's books. Was truly awful, and on the list for all-time worst players for Town.
  14. I agree. I think the same with Connolly. We miss his intelligence and movement. Lallana in particularly misses that movement off the ball.
  15. I and about 4/5 other London based Saints may well be going to the Famous Three Kings in West Kensington. It all depends on our hangovers from the previous night...the other option will be in my house, feeling sorry for myself.
  16. Just got 5 tickets for me and 4 other fellow London Saints fans!...COYRs!
  17. Absolute shocker! There is some absolute scum out there. All the best in your recovery Dan!
  18. Being from Romsey, Saints were my local team. Even though my Dad is a Huddersfield fan, and my first ever for football game I went to was a Town game, he couldn't convince me. Instead, in 1988 I went to The Dell for the first time and saw Rod Wallace, Le Tissier and Shearer and my mind was made up! I was hooked from then on!
  19. Oi! That's my Dad using my account?!?! I am not a Hudderfield fan, but he is! This is mental (I don't have split personality problems either!)...
  20. I'm a Town fan who lives in Hants and watches Saints even more frequently. Roberts is a very sound player. Not up to Lallana's standard (who is?) and often compared unfavorably to Anthony Pilkington. However, he is whole-hearted, is good with set pieces (if he remembers to get the ball over the first defender); sound crosser; fairly quick and a quick thinker; and scores with good frequency. Certainly not Premiership level, but one who would be a good squad player for Saints. I don't want to lose him, but if he has to go, then it's good if he's offered to Saints.
  21. Very similar to others, as expected. As good as Lallana is, I still wouldn't have him ahead of either Rod Wallace (my favourite player when I was a kid) or Ekelund. GK - Niemi RB - Dodd CB - M. Svensson CB - Richards LB - Bale RM - Rod Wallace CM - Oakley CM/AM - Le Tissier LM - Ekelund ST - Shearer ST - Pahars Subs: Flowers Fonte Case A. Svensson Lallana Walcott Bridge
  22. Ok, well Jordan Sibley AND Ryan Dickson have now both confirmed that the Adam Lallana is a fake Twitter account. I don't know why Ryan went along with it originally, as he said to follow...
  23. It's not a fake. If you read a his tweet again, he is joking. It is Adam Lallana. He just doesn't want him getting more followers than him already!
  24. Now we need Schneiderlin to sign a new deal! Come on Nicola, give the lad a new 5 year contract!!
  25. Anyone else sat in the home end? I will be with two others in the West Stand. Would be good if we could congregate together! Really looking forward to seeing the 3,000+ Saints fans from another stand and hearing the noise and passion!
